Exploring the medication pattern and mechanism of action of traditional Chinese medicine in treating polycystic ovary syndrome with kidney deficiency and blood stasis based on data mining and network pharmacology

Background:Using network pharmacology to explore the potential molecular mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in treating polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome.Method:Collect the related literature materials of PCOS with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome treated by traditional Chinese medicine in four databases in recent ten years,extract the information of prescriptions and complete the frequency analysis.Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database was used to screen out the effective components.Use Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man and other databases to screen PCOS disease targets.The intersection targets obtained by clustering prescription and PCOS disease targets were submitted to STRING database for protein-protein interaction network analysis,and Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes pathways were analysed by Metascape.Result:There are 155 kinds of traditional Chinese medicines used in the literature.The most commonly utilized ones are Cuscutae Semen,Angelicae Sinensis Radix,and Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata.The results of the cluster analysis indicated that the plants most commonly found throughout the prescription were Leonuri Herba,Lycopi Herba,Dipsaci Radix,etc.GO results show that biological processes include cell reaction to organic nitrogen compounds and cell reaction to nitrogen compounds.The functional display of GO molecule includes cytokine receptor binding,signal receptor regulator activity and so on.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes results show that the possible mechanisms of action are cancer pathway,an endocrine resistance signal pathway.Conclusion:Through data mining,the cluster prescription for PCOS with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome is Leonuri Herba,Lycopi Herba,Dipsaci Radix,etc.The network pharmacology research of cluster prescription shows that the main drug components for treating PCOS with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome are quercetin,kaempferol,luteolin,tanshinone IIA,etc.,which act on PTGS2,NCOA2,and other targets,and treat PCOS with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome through cancer and endocrine resistance.

Clinical Nursing Intervention of Moxibustion on Abdominal Distension Symptoms in Heart Failure (Heart and Kidney Yang Deficiency and Blood Stasis Blocking Collaterals Syndrome)

Objective:To investigate the clinical nursing intervention effect of moxibustion on abdominal distension symptoms in heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome).Methods:62 patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)admitted to our hospital from February 2023 to February 2024 were selected and divided into the observation group(n=31)and the control group(n=31)by using the random numerical table method.The control group adopted conventional nursing interventions,and the observation group received the nursing program of the control group with the addition of moxibustion nursing interventions.The nursing effectiveness,quality of life scores,and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results:The nursing effectiveness of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the quality of life score of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05);the nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The use of moxibustion nursing intervention in patients with heart failure(heart and kidney yang deficiency and blood stasis blocking collaterals syndrome)can effectively relieve the symptoms of abdominal distension,improve patients'quality of life,and increase nursing satisfaction,which has promotion and application values.

TCM Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis by Supplementing the Kidney and Invigorating the Blood Circulation

The therapeutic effects in treating the intermediate and late rheumatoid arthritis by supplementing the kidney and invigorating blood circulation were observed. In the 43 cases of the treatment group, No. 2 Qu Feng Shi Ling capsules (祛风湿灵胶囊2号) and Fenbid (芬必得) were prescribed, while in the 39 cases of the control group Lei Gong Teng Tablets (雷公藤总甙片) and Fenbid were given. The results showed that the total effective rate in the treatment group was more satisfactory than that in the control (P<0.05 or P<0.01). With less toxic effects, the former could better improve the local swelling and lower the blood viscosity.

Research Progress of Tonifying Kidney and Promoting Blood Circulation in the Treatment of Steroid-induced Necrosis of Femoral Head

Osteonecrosis of the femoral head is a common disability disease of the hip joint in China,and osteonecrosis of the femoral head caused by hormone factors is the most common,which is related to the gradual increase in the utilization rate of glucocorticoids in recent years.It is a refractory disease in orthopaedics with a poor prognosis.For this disease,the treatment of traditional Chinese medicine has certain advantages.In view of this,the author reads,analyzes and summarizes its materials by searching China Journal full-text Database and Wanfang Database.This paper reviews the mechanism and clinical research progress of tonifying kidney and activating blood circulation in the prevention and treatment of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head,hoping to provide help for the clinical treatment of hormone-related osteonecrosis of the femoral head.

Clinical observation of kidney-qi deficiency syndrome patients with hypertension by Bushenjiangya decoction

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of Bushenjiangya(reinforcing kidney and lowering blood pressure) decoction in curing hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type. METHODS: First 60 patients with hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type were divided into control group and treatment group randomly; the conventional western medicine was given to patients of the control group for antihypertensive therapy, while the traditional Chinese medicine Bushenjiangya decoction was added for patients in the treatment group based on the therapy for those in control group; after 2 months, the blood pressure, clinical efficacy and urine microalbumin changes of patients in the two groups before and after the treatment were observed. RESULTS: a. The systolic pressure of patients in the two groups was all reduced obviously(P<0.05); b. The total effective rate of experiment group in antihypertensive effect was 76.7%, while that of control group was 83.3%(P>0.05); c. The total effective rate of experiment group in TCM syndrome effect was 86.7%, while that of control group was 63.3%, showing that the effect of experiment group was better than that of control group(P<0.05); d. The 24 h urine microalbumin reduction of experiment group was better than that of control group(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The curative effect of Bushenjiangya decoction in combination with the western medicine is better than that of simple western medicine for hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type, and also the urine microalbumin can be obviously reduced to protect the kidney function.

Clinical Factors Affecting Platelet Growth in the Treatment of Aplastic Anemia by Tonifying Kidney and Generating Blood

Objective:To investigate the influence of kidney-tonifying and blood-generating method on platelet(PLT)growth in the treatment of aplastic anemia(AA)and analyze the characteristics of the clinical factors affecting PLT growth.We enrolled patients treated from September 2018to March 2021 in the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)Xiyuan Hospital,China Academy of TCM hospital gate 19sub-center.We enrolled 128 AA patients,for whom the inclusion criteria were:treatment is given priority to with kidney and heart's-blood method,on the basis of western medicine treatment for kidney fill party avoid Fried instant particles,stay for 3 months for a period of treatment,taking two consecutive period of treatment,changes in the PLT were observed,and the clinical characteristics of AA patients,such as PLT growth and recovery from baseline value,were analyzed.Materials and Methods:A total of 128 AA patients from 19 branches of Xiyuan Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Guang'anmen Hospital,China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences treated from September 2018 to March 2021 were enrolled.The treatment was based on the kidney-tonifying and blood-generating method and lasted for 3 months as a course of treatment.The changes in the number of PLT in patients were observed,and the clinical characteristics of AA affecting PLT growth and recovery from baseline value were analyzed.Results:After 6 months of treatment following the kidney-tonifying and blood-generating method,PLT increased from the baseline values in 75 cases,including 21 cases of AA with normal PLT recovery and 54 cases of AA without normal PLT recovery.There were 53 cases of AA in whom PLT did not increase from the baseline.Analysis of the general data showed that patients with lower Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)score were more likely to experience PLT growth or even return to normal after therapy(P<0.05).The results of routine blood analysis showed that when hemoglobin(HGB)was≥60 g/L and the reticulocyte(RET)proportion was≥0.3%before treatment,PLTs were more likely to increase,even returning to normal in some patients(P<0.05).Analysis of bone puncture results before treatment showed that when the proliferation of nucleated cells was low or extremely low in bone puncture examination,with the proportion of granulocytes<40%,and the proportion of erythroid cells<20%,the treatment method was more effective at increasing PLT count(P<0.05).Analysis of the chromosome karyotype results before treatment showed that when the chromosome karyotype was normal,PLTs were more likely to increase or even return to normal after treatment(P<0.05).Analysis of T-lymphocyte subsets before treatment showed that when CD3+human leukocyte antigen(HLA)-DR+proportion was≥30%,PLTs were more likely to increase or even return to normal(P<0.05).Conclusions:AA patients with a low KPS score,higher HGB≥60 g/L,RET proportion≥0.3%,low or extremely low proliferation of nucleated cells,granulocytes proportion<40%,erythroid proportion<20%,normal chromosome karyotype,CD3+HLA-DR+≥30%,should be treated with a kidney-tonifying and blood-generating method.Such patients are more likely to show PLT growth and the values may even return to normal.

Clinical Study on Effect of Chinese Herbal Medicine for Supplementing Kidney and Qi and Activating Blood Circulation in Treating Intrauterine Growth Retardation of Fetus

Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect and the possible working mechanism in using Chinese herbal medicine (CHM) for supplementing Kidney and Qi, and activating blood circulation in treating intrauterine growth retardation of fetus (IUGR). Methods: Fifty-five cases of IUGR were divided into two groups, 30 cases in the CHM group treated with CHM and the 25 in the control group treated with amino acids. The effect of CHM treatment was observed and compared with that of the control group, normal pregnancy group and non-treated IUGR group. Results: Body weight of the newborns in the CHM was markedly higher than that in the control group. Not only the maternal fundal height (FH) and the abdominal circumference (AC), but also the fetal growth parameters, including biparietal diameter, head circumference (HC), and femur length (FL) in the CHM group increased much faster than those in the control group. After CHM treatment, the maternal serum levels of estriol (E3) and human placental lactogen (hPL) approached to those in the normal pregnancy group, but the control group,in comparison with the normal pregnancy group, was significantly different. The umbilical venous plasma concentration of essential amino acids in both treated groups improved, but the improvement in the CHM group was more significant than that in the control group. No apparent adverse effect of CHM was observed in either mother or fetus.Conclusion: CHM for supplementing Kidney and Qi and activating blood circulation was more effective in improving placental function and enhancing amino acid transportation than amino acid

The Clinical Experience of Prof. Zhang Xiaofeng in the Treatment of Small Follicular, Ovulatory Infertility with Traditional Chinese Medicine

With the popularization of clinical ultrasound technology,small follicular ovulation infertility is gradually being recognized in clinical practice.Low follicle ovulation refers to the phenomenon that the average value of the three diameter lines of the dominant follicle is less than 14mm-18mm under continuous ultrasound monitoring.The dominant follicle ovulates before it develops to maturity,which is a kind of ovulation disorder and one of the leading causes of unexplained infertility[1],accounting for 25%-30%of the total number of patients with infertility[2].At present,Western medicine mostly uses ovulation,stimulating drugs to treat this disease.Still,due to the clinical result of“high ovulation but low pregnancy”,there are certain obstacles in treatment.The purpose of this article is to discuss Zhang Xiaofeng’s understanding of TCM of this disease.The tutor believes that the location of the disease is in the kidney,and the mechanism of the disease is kidney yin deficiency and blood heat.The treatment principle is sequential therapy,nourishing yin and clearing heat,taking into account the protection of the spleen and stomach,and the therapeutic effect is perfect.

Clinical Observation on Patients with Endometriosis Treated by Tonifying Kidney and Removing Blood Stasis

Objective: To explore the mechanism of treating endometriosis by tonifying Kidney and removing blood stasis with Neiyixiao recipe, ( , NYXR).Methods: One hundred and three patients of endometriosis were divided randomly into the NYXR group (58 cases, treated with NYXR) and the control group (45 cases, treaed with danazol) and were reviewed for the improvement of clinical symptoms, serum level of FSH, LH, PRL, E2, P and T, humoral and cellular immunity (C3, C4, CD3, CD4, CD8), and plasma prostaglandin after treatment.Results: There was no significant difference in effect between the NYXR group and the control group in relief of dysmenorrhea and degradation of elevated plasma prostaglandin (x2 = 0.71,P >0.05). But there was significant difference between the two groups in curing infertility (x2 = 14.77, P<0. 01), and the effect of NYXR in regulating endocrine and immunity was significantly better than that of danazol.Conclusion: By tonifying Kidney and removing blood stasis, NYXR is multi-effective and being one of effective methods in clinical practice for treatment of endometriosis.

Efficacy and advantages of modified Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments based on"kidney reinforcing"for chronic aplastic ane-mia:a randomized controlled clinical trial

OBJECTIVE:To compare the efficacy of modified treatments based on "kidney reinforcing" in the management of chronic aplastic anemia(CAA),and explore their advantages and specialties.METHODS:One hundred and eleven patients with CAA were randomly divided into three groups:kidney reinforcing alone(KA),"kidney reinforcing and Qi tonifying"(KQ),and "kidney reinforcing and blood circulation invigorating"(KC).Normal and positive control groups were also formed.All patients were treated for 6 months(two courses).Hemograms,Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome scores,and therapeutic effects were assessed,and changes in T-lymphocyte subsets,regulatory T cells and cytokines were detected.RESULTS:The KQ and KC groups had lower TCM syndrome scores than the positive control group after 6 months(P < 0.05).The KQ group had a higher overall efficacy than the positive control group after 3 months(P < 0.05),while platelet counts increased in the KC group after 6 months(P < 0.05).CD3+ T-lymphocyte ratios decreased only in the KQ group,while CD3 + CD4 + CD8-Tlymphocytes increased only in the KC group after 6 months(P <0.05).Levels of interferon-γ,tumor necrosis fac-tor-α,interleukin(IL)-2 and IL-6 decreased and levels of IL-4 and IL-10 increased in all treated groups after 6 months.Levels of IL-6 in the KQ and KC groups were lower than those in the positive control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Treatments based on kidney reinforcing have a rebalancing effect on cytotoxic and T helper cells,and regulate expression of interferon-γ,IL-2,IL-6 and IL-4.KQ may be more effective in treating CAA,and KC may have an advantage in platelet recovery.

The Effect of integrated Traditional Chineseand Western Medicine on the Recovery of Patients with Early Acute Cerebral Hemorrhage

The author compared in this study the effects of the treatment with integrated traditional andwestern medicine with that of routine western medicine alone on the recovery of patients with acute hyperten-sive cerebral hemorrhage. The results of the treatments showed that integrated traditional Chinese and west-ern medicine had better effect on speeding up the absorption of intracranial hematoma, elimination of en-cephaledema and restoration of neural functions than routine western medicine. There is significant differencebetween the results of the two kinds of treatment (P< 0. 05￣0. 01 ) , which suggested that treating patientsearly with traditional Chinese medicine greatly helps the recovery of patients with cerebral hemorrhage.
