It is the first novel of Hosseini which had been one of the bestselling in New York Times ranking list. It studies Hassan's tragedy from three aspects, including the social environment in Afghanistan, the loyalty of Hassan, and the selfishness of Amir. Besides, it also discusses the friendship and betrayal between two boys-Hassan and Amir. Finally, the terrible life of Hassan in Afghanistan is under investigated.展开更多

However, unlike the latter, the technology for high altitude wind is still immature and the works on the field are mostly empirical. In our research, we try to set up a framework about force analysis and provide a stepping stone for other kite energy researchers and engineers to develop more efficient systems. In this paper, we analyzed and experimentally verified the effects of acting aerodynamic forces at different angles of attack ranging from 0° to 90°. We also studied the power potentials of a kite corresponding to these varying forces. The work will enable a researcher or engineer to design a more feasible and more efficient kite power system with better understanding of the kite dynamics.展开更多

Under the framework of trauma theory and through close reading of the novel, the aim of the present paper is to analyze how trauma is narrated in the novel and thus help readers to have a better understanding about the Afghan history and life展开更多

It is said that Gong Shuban of Lu State of the Spring and Autumn and Warring Period made a wood magpie. Also at that time, Mu Zhai made a wood eagle to fly in the sky. These were the prototype of kites in China. During the end of Qin Dynasty and the beginning of Han Dynasty, a man named Hah Xin made a paper kite using bomboo sticks as its framework, which was covered with paper and drawn by a string of thread to fly in the sky.
