The constitution,structure and surface state of the ultrafine iron particles prepared by gas evaporation technique have been investigated by means of X-ray analysis,high-reasolution electron microscopy(HREM)and electron spectroscopy for chemical analysis(ESCA).The results showed that the fine particles are spherical ones of~20 nm in diameter with α-Fe cores and covered by Fe_3O_4 fine crystalline layers of~4 nm thickness. 展开更多

New Investigation on the Space Group of Chevkinite

Chevkinite specimen from a rare-earth mineral deposit in Sichuan, southwest of China have been studied in detail by means of transmission electron microscope (TEM).The selected area electron diffraction (SAED)and convergent beam electron diffraction (CBED) patterns , obtained from different crystal zone axis direction , proved coincidently that the space group of chevkinite is C2/m . Fringe lattice image observation showed the mineral crystal is structurally uniform in microscale , and it is an ideal specimen for electron diffraction analysis . The mineral studied here is similar to the one from Bayan Obo , Inner Mongolia , China , in chemical composition and REE distribution . The chemical formula of the crystal is (Ce , La ,… , Ca) 4 Fe2+ (Fe, Ti, Nb) 2 O8 (Si2O7)2 From our study , we come to the conclusion that the space group of the natural chevkinite is C2/m , instead of P21/a as synthetic one . Up to now , chevkinite compositionally similar to the synthetic one , in which the complete replacements of Ce , La by Nd and Fe by Mg or Co occur , has not been discovered in nature . So we suggest that the name for synthesized chevkinite should be further discussed . 展开更多

The relations between the non-equilibrium segregation process of P and the change of the texture in Fe-P alloys have been studied by analytical electron microscope and orientation distribution function.It was shown that P segregated preferentialy on the{110}slip planes, the P segregation structures with repeating cycle a=1.582 nm form at 450℃.<001>// ND direction abated.<111>//ND direction heightened.And{111}<110>has a tendancy to transform into{111}<143>texture in recovering process.{111}<143>direction trans- forms into{111}<112>direction after recrystalizing.A model to describe the effects of non-equilibrium segregation structures of P on orientation change was proposed and em- ployed to interpret the experiment results. 展开更多

Synchisite-(Ce) from the Kibina alkaline massive, Kola peninsula, Russia , has been studied using electron diffraction and lattice-images techniques. The synchisite-(Ce) with relatively ordered stacking shows a microtwin. The semirandom stacking is caused by the displacement of CO3 layers parallel to the basal planes. The irregular stacking crystals contain Ca layers adjacent to each other.The synchisite-(Ce) is considered as a polymatic mineral with short-range disorder. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem that the lattice feature exceeds the view field of the scanning electron microscope(SEM)measuring system,a new lattice measuring method is proposed based on integral imaging technology.When the system works,the SEM measuring system is equivalent to an integral image acquisition system.Firstly,a lattice measuring method is researched based on integral imaging theory.Secondly,the system parameters are calibrated by the VLSI lattice standard.Finally,the value of the lattice standard to be tested is determined based on the calibration parameters and the lattice measuring algorithm.The experimental results show that,compared with the traditional electron microscope measurement method,the relative error of the measured value of the algorithm is maintained within 0.2%,with the same level of measurement accuracy,but it expands the field of view of the electron microscope measurement system,which is suitable for the measurement of samples under high magnification. 展开更多
