Multisensory mechanisms of gait and balance in Parkinson’s disease:an integrative review

Understanding the neural underpinning of human gait and balance is one of the most pertinent challenges for 21st-century translational neuroscience due to the profound impact that falls and mobility disturbances have on our aging population.Posture and gait control does not happen automatically,as previously believed,but rather requires continuous involvement of central nervous mechanisms.To effectively exert control over the body,the brain must integrate multiple streams of sensory information,including visual,vestibular,and somatosensory signals.The mechanisms which underpin the integration of these multisensory signals are the principal topic of the present work.Existing multisensory integration theories focus on how failure of cognitive processes thought to be involved in multisensory integration leads to falls in older adults.Insufficient emphasis,however,has been placed on specific contributions of individual sensory modalities to multisensory integration processes and cross-modal interactions that occur between the sensory modalities in relation to gait and balance.In the present work,we review the contributions of somatosensory,visual,and vestibular modalities,along with their multisensory intersections to gait and balance in older adults and patients with Parkinson’s disease.We also review evidence of vestibular contributions to multisensory temporal binding windows,previously shown to be highly pertinent to fall risk in older adults.Lastly,we relate multisensory vestibular mechanisms to potential neural substrates,both at the level of neurobiology(concerning positron emission tomography imaging)and at the level of electrophysiology(concerning electroencephalography).We hope that this integrative review,drawing influence across multiple subdisciplines of neuroscience,paves the way for novel research directions and therapeutic neuromodulatory approaches,to improve the lives of older adults and patients with neurodegenerative diseases.

Integration and implementation of precision medicine in the multifaceted inflammatory bowel disease

Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a complex disease with variability in genetic,environmental,and lifestyle factors affecting disease presentation and course.Precision medicine has the potential to play a crucial role in managing IBD by tailoring treatment plans based on the heterogeneity of clinical and temporal variability of patients.Precision medicine is a population-based approach to managing IBD by integrating environmental,genomic,epigenomic,transcriptomic,proteomic,and metabolomic factors.It is a recent and rapidly developing medicine.The widespread adoption of precision medicine worldwide has the potential to result in the early detection of diseases,optimal utilization of healthcare resources,enhanced patient outcomes,and,ultimately,improved quality of life for individuals with IBD.Though precision medicine is promising in terms of better quality of patient care,inadequacies exist in the ongoing research.There is discordance in study conduct,and data collection,utilization,interpretation,and analysis.This review aims to describe the current literature on precision medicine,its multiomics approach,and future directions for its application in IBD.

Fuzzy Henstock-Kurzweil Triple Integral

In this article, we use the Hausdorf distance to treat triple Simpson’s rule of the Henstock triple integral of a fuzzy valued function as well as the error bound of the method. We also introduce δ-fine subdivisions for a Henstock triple integral and numerical example is presented in order to show the application and the consequence of the method.

基于S-CAD法的县域新型城镇化发展规划方案评估研究——以陕西省佳县为例

规划方案作为相关利益主体价值观的直接体现,应当在规划评估中予以重视。基于城乡规划的公共政策属性,采用S-CAD政策评估方法,以陕西省佳县的《新型城镇化与城乡统筹规划》文本为例,选取规划编制与实施主体——政府作为主导视角,对规划文本的内容进行解构,在此基础上进行规划立场、目标、手段与预期结果的一致性、充要性与依赖性分析。研究发现:一、该规划文本自身的逻辑性较强,各个环节存在基本的对应关系;二、规划文本当中对于产业发展以及由此带来的人口问题、基础设施与公共服务设施问题的解决方案描述较多,对于生态环境保护、交通环境改善以及人口流动的实质性解决方案相对较少,逻辑上存在一定的漏洞,需进一步完善逻辑链条。基于此,提出建立城乡规划全过程评估体系及重视多元利益主体协调关系的建议,以期为相关规划的编制与评估工作提供参考。

The Bivariate Normal Integral via Owen’s T Function as a Modified Euler’s Arctangent Series

The Owen’s T function is presented in four new ways, one of them as a series similar to the Euler’s arctangent series divided by 2π, which is its majorant series. All possibilities enable numerically stable and fast convergent computation of the bivariate normal integral with simple recursion. When tested computation on a random sample of one million parameter triplets with uniformly distributed components and using double precision arithmetic, the maximum absolute error was 3.45 × 10-16. In additional testing, focusing on cases with correlation coefficients close to one in absolute value, when the computation may be very sensitive to small rounding errors, the accuracy was retained. In rare potentially critical cases, a simple adjustment to the computation procedure was performed—one potentially critical computation was replaced with two equivalent non-critical ones. All new series are suitable for vector and high-precision computation, assuming they are supplemented with appropriate efficient and accurate computation of the arctangent and standard normal cumulative distribution functions. They are implemented by the R package Phi2rho, available on CRAN. Its functions allow vector arguments and are ready to work with the Rmpfr package, which enables the use of arbitrary precision instead of double precision numbers. A special test with up to 1024-bit precision computation is also presented.

One-step cell biomanufacturing platform:porous gelatin microcarrier beads promote human embryonic stem cell-derived midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell differentiation in vitro and survival after transplantation in vivo

Numerous studies have shown that cell replacement therapy can replenish lost cells and rebuild neural circuitry in animal models of Parkinson’s disease.Transplantation of midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cells is a promising treatment for Parkinson’s disease.However,transplanted cells can be injured by mechanical damage during handling and by changes in the transplantation niche.Here,we developed a one-step biomanufacturing platform that uses small-aperture gelatin microcarriers to produce beads carrying midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cells.These beads allow midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell differentiation and cryopreservation without digestion,effectively maintaining axonal integrity in vitro.Importantly,midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell bead grafts showed increased survival and only mild immunoreactivity in vivo compared with suspended midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell grafts.Overall,our findings show that these midbrain dopaminergic progenitor cell beads enhance the effectiveness of neuronal cell transplantation.

ESD保护电路在HDMI板级信号完整性中的影响分析及其布局优化研究

为了解决HDMI接入ESD保护电路后信号完整性受破坏等问题,从器件的空间布局对HDMI信号完整性影响进行研究分析,同时考虑了瞬态电压抑制(TVS)高频寄生参数的影响,搭建了ESD放电模型和TVS高频等效电路模型,并对其可靠性进行了验证。从差分器件接入信号线旋转角度和彼此间错开距离研究其对信号完整性的影响,设计了25套不同夹角和4套不同错开距离的板级模型,在不同特性的传输频率下进行S参数仿真,并从中选取出垂直型、水平型、错开型三种具有代表性的空间布局模型,利用有限元仿真得到差分信号线的S参数和眼图。仿真结果表明,垂直型排布相比于其他两种典型空间布局,回波损耗平均降低了248.1%,插入损耗平均降低了20.6%,眼图的眼宽和眼高在三种空间布局中最大。研究成果为PCB静电放电保护电路分析与设计提供了布局优化指导。

A High Efficiency Hardware Implementation of S-Boxes Based on Composite Field for Advanced Encryption Standard

The SubBytes (S-box) transformation is the most crucial operation in the AES algorithm, significantly impacting the implementation performance of AES chips. To design a high-performance S-box, a segmented optimization implementation of the S-box is proposed based on the composite field inverse operation in this paper. This proposed S-box implementation is modeled using Verilog language and synthesized using Design Complier software under the premise of ensuring the correctness of the simulation result. The synthesis results show that, compared to several current S-box implementation schemes, the proposed implementation of the S-box significantly reduces the area overhead and critical path delay, then gets higher hardware efficiency. This provides strong support for realizing efficient and compact S-box ASIC designs.

基于T-S模糊模型的桥吊系统积分状态反馈控制

小车定位精度和负载摆角大小是桥式起重机控制系统的两个重要性能指标。采用状态反馈控制时小车位移会存在稳态误差,为了消除稳态误差,提高系统的定位精度,给出基于T-S模糊模型的积分状态反馈控制方法。在桥式起重机非线性动力学模型基础上,建立增维T-S模糊模型,基于所建模型设计并行结构的积分状态反馈控制器,通过线性矩阵不等式计算反馈增益矩阵,并对闭环系统的稳定性进行分析。实验结果表明积分状态反馈控制不仅可以提高系统的定位精度,减少定位时间,而且有较好的抗干扰能力。

Study on Characteristics of 3-D Translating-Pulsating Source Green Function of Deep-Water Havelock Form and Its Fast Integration Method

The singularities, oscillatory performances and the contributing factors to the 3-＇D translating-pulsating source Green function of deep-water Havelock form which consists of a local disturbance part and a far-field wave-like part, are analyzed systematically. Relative numerical integral methods about the two parts are presented in this paper. An improved method based on LOBATTO rule is used to eliminate singularities caused respectively by infinite discontinuity and jump discontinuous node from the local disturbance part function, which makes the improvement of calculation efficiency and accuracy possible. And variable substitution is applied to remove the singularity existing at the end of the integral interval of the far-field wave-like part function. Two auxiliary techniques such as valid interval calculation and local refinement of integral steps technique in narrow zones near false singularities are applied so as to avoid unnecessary integration of invalid interval and improve integral accordance. Numerical test results have proved the efficiency and accuracy in these integral methods that thus can be applied to calculate hydrodynamic performance of floating structures moving in waves.

Integral Inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard Type for Functions Whose 3rd Derivatives Are <i>s</i>-Convex

In the paper, the authors find some new inequalities of Hermite-Hadamard type for functions whose third derivatives are s-convex and apply these inequalities to discover inequalities for special means.

The discrete variational principle and the first integrals of Birkhoff systems＊

This paper shows that first integrals of discrete equation of motion for Birkhoff systems can be determined explicitly by investigating the invariance properties of the discrete Pfaffian. The result obtained is a discrete analogue of theorem of Noether in the calculus of variations. An example is given to illustrate the application of the results.

A Hilbert-Type Inequality with Some Parameters and the Integral in Whole Plane

In this paper, by introducing some parameters and estimating the weight coefficient, we give a new Hilbert’s inequality with the integral in whole plane and with a non-homogeneous and the equivalent form is given as well. The best constant factor is calculated by the way of Complex Analysis.

THE HADAMARD INEQUALITY FOR CONVEX FUNCTION VIA FRACTIONAL INTEGRALS

In this paper, we establish several inequalities for some differantiable mappings that are connected with the Riemann-Liouville fractional integrals. The analysis used in the proofs is fairly elementary.

EXISTENCE AND UNIQUENESS OF SOLUTIONS FOR NONLINEAR FRACTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS WITH NON-SEPARATED TYPE INTEGRAL BOUNDARY CONDITIONS

In this paper, we study a boundary value problem of nonlinear fractional dif- ferential equations of order q （1 〈 q 〈 2） with non-separated integral boundary conditions. Some new existence and uniqueness results are obtained by using some standard fixed point theorems and Leray-Schauder degree theory. Some illustrative examples are also presented. We extend previous results even in the integer case q = 2.

Boundedness of singular integrals along surfaces on Lebesgue spaces

In the paper, we establish the LP（Rn＋1）-boundedness for a class of singular integral operators associated to surfaces of revolution {（y,γ（｜y｜）, y ∈ Rn} with rough kernels. We also give several applications of this inequality.

基于RVMD-RobustICA-ST联合相干性分析的电驱动总成噪声源识别

为研究集成一体化电驱动总成的噪声源特性,提出一种RVMD-RobustICA-ST联合算法融合相干性分析的噪声源识别方法。首先,采用基于奇异值分解的占优特征值准则估计噪声子空间维数对变分模态分解参数进行指向性条件约束,并利用鲁棒性独立分量分析联合占优特征值约束的变分模态分解对信号特征进行提取。然后,利用S变换和快速傅里叶变换对各分量信号时频特性进行识别。最后,在二次残差法分析分量信号波形误差度基础上,以电驱动总成振动信号、噪声信号、时频重叠分量信号为变量建立线性系统并进行相干性分析。结果表明,稳态工况下减速二级齿副啮合振动噪声对该电驱动总成噪声贡献度最大,且时频重叠分量信号的噪声能量主要由减速一级齿副啮合振动提供。

Hermite-Hadamard Type Fractional Integral Inequalities for Preinvex Functions

In this article, we extend some estimates of the right-hand side of the Hermite-Hadamard type inequality for preinvex functions with fractional integral.The notion of logarithmically s-Godunova-Levin-preinvex function in second sense is introduced and then a new Herrnite-Hadarnard inequality is derived for the class of logarithmically s-Godunova-Levin-preinvex function.

Detection of Prorocentrum donghaiense using sandwich hybridization integrated with nuclease protection assay

Prorocentrum donghaiense is an important harmful algae bloom （HAB） causing creature in China＇s seas, and the conventional visual detection can not cope with long-term monitoring and highthroughput sampling projects. An assay for P. donghaiense with sandwich hybridization integrated with nuclease protection assay （NPA-SH） was established. Tests with mixed samples and spiked field ones confirmed its good specificity and sensitivity. The cell number of P. donghaiense correlated well with the optical density, and the regression equation is y=4× 10^- 6x＋ 0.694 9, in which x is the cell number, and y is the optical density, with r2=0.953 5. These results show that the NPA-SH method has good feasibility in the detection of P. donghaiense. Results of NPA-SH and microscopy are excellent for each sample. The NPA-SH method was a simple way in quantitative detection of P. donghaiense, and the whole process could be finished in about six hours, which provided a new approach in high-throughput sampling and long-term monitoring of P. donghaiense.
