Global Governance and China-Africa Cooperation:Logical Motivation,Historical Foundation and Practical Needs

In 1875,French philosopher Ernest Renan openly stated,“We aspire not to equality but to domination.Countries inhabited by foreign races must become again countries of serfs,farm laborers,and factory workers.”This was a view of global governance based on racism in the 19th century.In 2018,Donald Trump,then President of the United States,in a meeting with members of Congress from both sides of the aisle to discuss reform of the immigration system,talked about immigrants from regions and countries such as Africa and Haiti,and questioned why the United States would take in immigrants from these“shithole countries”.

Japan’s Quasi-Alliance Strategy:Motivations,Practices and Constraints

The quasi-alliance strategy is part of the national security strategy and lies in the grey area between alliance and neutrality.1 In recent years,major countries,including Japan,have positioned quasi-alliance as a feasible unwritten option in their respective national security strategies.2 Japan’s quasialliance strategy was already in its infancy when former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe first came to power in September 2006 but was put on hold after his resignation in September 2007.

Music therapy combined with motivational interviewing

BACKGROUND Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)is one of the main treatment methods for myocardial infarction(MI).Despite its positive effects,patients often experience different degrees of anxiety and depression after the intervention.Therefore,effectively changing the emotional state of patients with MI during PCI remains a focus of clinical research.AIM To assess the effect of music therapy and motivational interviewing in young and middle-aged patients with anxiety and depression after PCI.METHODS We collected data from January 2022 to December 2023 from 86 young and middle-aged patients with MI after PCI.They were divided into observation and control groups according to the random throwing method.The observation group consisted of 43 patients undergoing music therapy and motivational interviewing,and the control group(43 cases)underwent music therapy and conventional communication.The two groups were then compared on mood status[Chinese Brief Mood Status Scale(POMS)],coping methods[Medical Coping Methods Questionnaire(MCMQ)Chinese version],and healthy lifestyle behaviors[Heart Health Self-Efficacy and Self-Management(HH-SESM)scale].RESULTS Two weeks post-intervention,the observation group had lower POMS scores,improved MCMQ scores,and higher HH-SESM scores than the control group(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The combined intervention of music therapy and motivational interviewing for young and middle-aged patients with anxiety and depression after MI can effectively regulate their mood,reduce anxiety and depression symptoms,and stimulate patients to actively face their condition.It also encourages the formation of healthy behavioral habits.

How Autonomy Support Environment Influences Student Online Game Addiction:The Mediating Roles of Academic Motivation and Academic Perseverance

Background:Online game addiction has become a serious global public health problem among adolescents.However,its influencing factors and mediating mechanisms remain ambiguous.Methods:The present study adopted stratified random sampling to collect 6146 junior high school student samples in China's Mainland.We used regression analysis,and Bootstrap mediation test through SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0 to reveal the tendency of students’online game addiction with different background characteristics and whether autonomy support from parents and teachers can effectively reduce online game addiction.Results:The results showed that parental(β=−0.112,p<0.001)and teacher(β=−0.225,p<0.001)autonomy support were conducive to reducing students’online game addiction.Academic perseverance(β=−0.080,95%CI=[−0.103,−0.058])and academic motivation(β=−0.073,95%CI=[−0.095,−0.052])partially mediated the relationship between autonomy support and online game addiction.Conclusion:This result provides a theoretical basis for educational interventions.It suggests that strengthening autonomy support could enhance students’academic perseverance and motivation and further reduce online game addiction.This study utilized a cross-sectional research design,making it difficult to determine the causal relationship between autonomy support environment and online game addiction.

Through reviewing and summarizing the existing research on consumer motivation,and combining the characteristics of human behavior and the objective needs of environmental protection,this paper analyzes and defines consumers’purchase motivation.In the context of environmental protection,purchase motivation is divided into demand motivation,value recognition motivation,recognition motivation,and interest motivation.Their definitions are given in this paper,which provides a conceptual basis for further research on the influence of purchase motivation on consumer behavior in the context of environmental protection.

The productivity of an institution is achieved,in large part,by creating a harmonious environment that reflects the satisfaction,empowerment,and collaborative spirit of each employee.From this perspective,management will consider upgrades using all tactics that allow for the achievement of these goals,including direct effort and the involvement of all stakeholders.The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between work motivation and the productivity of workers in the communal board of the Barrio Sur corregimiento in the province of Colón.Using the questionnaire as an instrument,as well as the descriptive method,allowed for the report and evaluation of the characteristics of the workers,indicating interpersonal deficits and distancing in the motivations that drive administrative action.By incorporating different approaches previously analyzed and developed by different authors familiar with the subject,it was possible to achieve substantial results,such as the need to implement administrative strategies that harmoniously incorporate workers,showing that,despite motivation problems,the work environment where one works is very important in the performance of their duties.Managing to motivate the direct participation of the workers selected as part of the sample,who showed full satisfaction with the results framed within the framework of individual improvement and,above all,the commitment to the institution to improve its work.

The Influence of Swimming Athletes’ Burnout on Their Sports Participation Motivation in Hunan, China

Objective:This study aims to explore the effect of swimming athletes’burnout on their sports motivation in Hunan University,China.It seeks to understand how burnout influences various motivational factors,providing insights for optimizing swimming sports courses and enhancing student participation.Method:Employing random sampling,the study surveyed 260 swimming athletes from Hunan University.The research utilized a questionnaire divided into three parts:demographic information,the Athlete Burnout Questionnaire(ABQ),and the Intrinsic Motivation Inventory(IMI).Pearson’s r correlation analysis was conducted using SPSS to examine the relationships between burnout dimensions and motivational factors.Results:The study found significant correlations between a reduced sense of accomplishment and various motivational dimensions,including“interest/enjoyment,”“perceived competence,”“perceived choice,”and particularly“perceived tension.”Physical exhaustion showed a significant correlation only with“perceived tension,”indicating a strong link between psychological stress and physical fatigue.Sports devaluation was significantly correlated with“perceived tension,”suggesting that psychological stress impacts athletes’valuation of their sport.Conclusion:The findings highlight the complex interplay between burnout and motivation in swimming athletes.Psychological stress,as indicated by“perceived tension,”emerges as a key factor influencing both the physical and emotional aspects of burnout.The study underscores the need for holistic training approaches that balance physical training with psychological well-being,personalized coaching,and supportive environments to enhance intrinsic motivation and manage stress effectively.

The Impact of Industry-Education Integration on College Students’ Motivation to Learn English under the TPACK Framework

This paper explores the impact of industry-education integration on students’motivation in college English courses under the TPACK(Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge)framework using a comprehensive approach combining quantitative and qualitative methods.Quantitative data analysis indicates a significant positive correlation between the perception of industry-education integration and the level of student learning motivation.There is also a clear association between the perception scores of TPACK framework integration and learning motivation.Qualitative data analysis reveals students’positive experiences and recognition of the TPACK framework integration in practical application projects.The study concludes that industry-education integration and the TPACK framework play a crucial role in enhancing students’learning motivation.It suggests optimizing teaching practices through faculty training,designing practical application projects,and promoting student interaction.This comprehensive analysis provides substantial guidance for the future development of English courses.

Analysis of Influencing Factors of Work Motivation of Government Employees Based on MaxDiff Model:Evidence from Jiangmen City

The purpose of this paper is to use the MaxDiff model to explore the factors influencing the work motivation of staff in certain government agencies in Jiangmen City,and to conduct relevant empirical analyses.The study aims to propose strategies for improving work motivation among these staff members.The results indicate that the most significant factors affecting the work motivation of staff in Jiangmen government agencies are salary and remuneration,additional welfare benefits,and the power to make decisions about their own work.In contrast,factors such as a sense of belonging to the work unit,recognition of their work,and job security are less important.Therefore,it is recommended that government agencies in Jiangmen City increase the salaries and benefits of their staff and provide them with more decision-making power.This approach will stimulate their desire to work,enhance their motivation,improve the efficiency of government agencies,and elevate the level of public service.Ultimately,these measures will support the construction of a harmonious,stable,and orderly society.

随着旅游短视频的兴盛,旅游打卡逐渐成为一种时尚。作为当代青年的优秀群体,研究大学生的旅游打卡行为与心理具有现实意义。采用问卷调查的方式,对大学生的旅游打卡行为进行研究,并分析大学生在社交媒体发布旅游打卡信息的心理动因。研究得出结论:旅游短视频在一定程度上影响大学生的旅游决策,但该群体对短视频内容质量要求较高;大学生旅游打卡行为的心理动因更偏向于旅游地认同而不是盲目从众,呈现出理性态势。

研究型大学教师参与教学改革的动力及其特征研究-基于符号互动理论分析的视角

大学教学质量的提升需要不断探索教学改革,其具体执行靠一线教师,一线教师有动力参与其中是教学改革成功的关键。文章基于质性研究方法,采用访谈法、参与式观察法、实物收集法等收集资料;对18所研究型大学、共计11个一级学科的33位一线教师进行深度访谈;运用Nvivo软件按照三级编码的操作程序和扎根理论的方法取径完成了理论建构。研究发现,大学教师参与教学改革包括不同主体主导因素、实践过程主导因素、目标结果主导因素和情境场景主导因素共四类32种动力因素。基于符号互动理论分析视角发现,研究型大学教师参与教.学改革的动力具有情境性、能动性和变化性特征,其动力因素具有多元性、矛盾性和复杂性特征,各个动力因素之间具有开放性、互动性和共生性特征。基于前述特征,政府、高校、二级学院教学管理者等需要营造积极的教学改革文化,发挥教学制度的正面效应,提供相应的教学支持保障。
