Over the last two decades, extensive research has been carried out on the topic of cultural translation and a considerable number of theories have sprung up. On the firm basis of authoritatively relevant theories, the subject of interaction between culture and translation will be discussed.The discussion will be divided into macro and micro level. Firstly, the macro level will lay the emphasis on how the cultural system and elements(Lefevere,1992) influence translation in all its aspects; and on the other hand, how translations influence the culture.
