By inducing multiple twoand four-photon Bragg scatterings among specific momentum states, we achieved a flat band system based on the diamond model, precisely controlling the coupling strength and phase between individual lattice sites. Utilizing two lattice sites couplings, we generated a compact localized state associated with the flat band, which remained localized throughout the entire time evolution. We successfully realized the continuous shift of flat bands by adjusting the corresponding nearest neighbor hopping strength, enabling us to observe the complete localization process. Hence, exploring with real world evidence (RWE) clinicians’ preferences for treatment options and their results seems pertinent. Methods: In a set of consecutive patients with localized pancreatic cancer assisted in a third level hospital from January 2013 to December 2022, medical records, symptoms, diagnostic process, distribution between subtypes, and treatment plans, with safety and efficacy results, were assessed. Results: A total of 152 patients with localized disease were included (43.4% R, 21.0% BR, 33.6% LAU). The population characteristics exemplified differences between daily practice and clinical trials. Tumor location and symptoms were as expected. Treatment plan was conditioned by PS or comorbidities in 23.0% of patients. In patients with R disease, surgery followed by different adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) regimes was the antineoplastic treatment of choice (64.8%) with efficacy results (OS 37.5 months;95% CI 18.4 - 56.7), in the range of contemporary standards. The common use of neoadjuvant CT for BR disease (94.4%), with surgery in 50% of them, and its results (OS 30.8 months;95% CI 10.5 - 51.2) reflected current controversies of treatment recommendations and evolution in this scenario. Paliative CT with or without radiotherapy was the standard specific treatment in LAU disease (95.1%) with survival results (PFS: 10.8 months;95% CI 8.8 - 12.7. OS: 20.3 months;95% CI 13.5 - 27.2) that justify the distinct character and the specific study of this entity. Conclusion: RWE for localized pancreatic cancer aroused from the analysis of this population confirms the distinct nature of patients assisted in daily practice, as well as mirrors the complexity of decision making in clinical assumptions in which achieving stronger evidence should be paramount.展开更多

Thus, the performance of all-optical switching and optical transistors is limited. Herein, we propose a localized surface plasmon(LSP) mode-assisted cavity QED system which consists of a Λ-shaped three-level quantum emitter(QE), a metal nanoparticle and a one-sided optical cavity with a fully reflected mirror. In this system, the QE coherently couples to the cavity and LSP mode respectively, which is manipulated by the control field. As a result, considerably high and stable switch contrast of 90% can be achievable due to the strong confined field of the LSP mode and perfect absorption of the optical medium. In addition, we obtain a power dependent effect between the control field and the transmitted frequency as a result of the converted dark state. The typical spatial resolution of conventional Kelvin probe force microscopy(KPFM) is usually limited in a few hundreds of nanometers, and it is difficult to characterize localized electronic properties of 2D materials at nanoscales. Herein, tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy(TERS) is proposed to combine with KPFM to break this restriction. TERS scan is conducted on ReS2bubbles deposited on a rough Au thin film to obtain strain distribution by using the Raman peak shift. The localized contact potential difference(CPD) is inversely calculated with a higher spatial resolution by using strain measured by TERS and CPD-strain working curve obtained using conventional KPFM and atomic force microscopy. This method enhances the spatial resolution of CPD measurements and can be potentially used to characterize localized electronic properties of 2D materials.展开更多

Nevertheless, the presence of strong disorder has the potential to disrupt the integrity of topological states, leading to the localization of all states. This study delves into the intricate interplay between topology and localization within the one-dimensional Su–Schrieffer–Heeger(SSH) model, which incorporates controllable off-diagonal quasi-periodic modulations on superconducting circuits.Through the application of external alternating current(ac) magnetic fluxes, each transmon undergoes controlled driving, enabling independent tuning of all coupling strengths. Within a framework of this model, we construct comprehensive phase diagrams delineating regions characterized by extended topologically nontrivial states, critical localization, and coexisting topological and critical localization phases. The paper also addresses the dynamics of qubit excitations, elucidating distinct quantum state transfers resulting from the intricate interplay between topology and localization. Additionally, we propose a method for detecting diverse quantum phases utilizing existing experimental setups.展开更多

文摘This paper first attempts to solve the transient heat conduction problem by combining the recently proposed local knot method(LKM)with the dual reciprocity method(DRM).Firstly, the temporal derivative is discretized by a finite difference scheme, and thus the governing equation of transient heat transfer is transformed into a non-homogeneous modified Helmholtz equation.Secondly, the solution of the non-homogeneous modified Helmholtz equation is decomposed into a particular solution and a homogeneous solution. And then, the DRM and LKM are used to solve the particular solution of the non-homogeneous equation and the homogeneous solution of the modified Helmholtz equation, respectively. The LKM is a recently proposed local radial basis function collocationmethod with themerits of being simple, accurate, and free ofmesh and integration.Compared with the traditional domain-type and boundary-type schemes, the present coupling algorithm could be treated as a really good alternative for the analysis of transient heat conduction on high-dimensional and complicated domains.Numerical experiments, including two-and three-dimensional heat transfer models, demonstrated the effectiveness and accuracy of the new methodology.

文摘Electronic properties of two-dimensional(2D) materials can be strongly modulated by localized strain. This method enhances the spatial resolution of CPD measurements and can be potentially used to characterize localized electronic properties of 2D materials.

文摘Since the global financial crisis, global value chain(GVC)have been contracting amid the trend toward economic de-globalization.With GVC participation rate in mind as the core indicator of economic de-globalization,in this paper we create a multi-country general equilibrium model to characterize the mechanism by which manufacturing localization affects GVC participation rate. Our theoretical derivation shows that changes in the local manufacturing status of final products in various countries directly influence the GVC participation rate of those countries. When the local proportion of a country’s final products reaches a certain level, rising local proportion of intermediate inputs, economic growth below the world average level, and technology progress all cause the country’s GVC participation rate to decline, giving rise to de-globalization at the manufacturing and trade levels. We further provide a comprehensive interpretation based on an empirical test of the deep-seated causes of economic de-globalization in relation to such economic phenomena as increasing trade concentration, the“technology backlash”effect of the new industrial revolution, and economic growth driven by the combined forces of trade protectionism and quantitative easing.

文摘This research examines the transmission dynamics of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 using SEIQIcRVW and SQIRV models, considering the delay in converting susceptible individuals into infected ones. The significant delays eventually resulted in the pandemic’s containment. To ensure the safety of the host population, this concept integrates quarantine and the COVID-19 vaccine. We investigate the stability of the proposed models. The fundamental reproduction number influences stability conditions.According to our findings, asymptomatic cases considerably impact the prevalence of Omicron infection in the community. The real data of the Omicron variant from Chennai,Tamil Nadu,India,is used to validate the outputs.

文摘This paper aims to propose a topology optimization method on generating porous structures comprising multiple materials. The mathematical optimization formulation is established under the constraints of individual volume fraction of constituent phase or total mass,as well as the local volume fraction of all phases. The original optimization problem with numerous constraints is converted into a box-constrained optimization problem by incorporating all constraints to the augmented Lagrangian function, avoiding the parameter dependence in the conventional aggregation process.Furthermore, the local volume percentage can be precisely satisfied. The effects including the globalmass bound, the influence radius and local volume percentage on final designs are exploited through numerical examples. The numerical results also reveal that porous structures keep a balance between the bulk design and periodic design in terms of the resulting compliance. All results, including those for irregular structures andmultiple volume fraction constraints, demonstrate that the proposedmethod can provide an efficient solution for multiple material infill structures.

文摘This work aimed to construct an epidemic model with fuzzy parameters.Since the classical epidemic model doesnot elaborate on the successful interaction of susceptible and infective people, the constructed fuzzy epidemicmodel discusses the more detailed versions of the interactions between infective and susceptible people.Thenext-generation matrix approach is employed to find the reproduction number of a deterministic model.Thesensitivity analysis and local stability analysis of the systemare also provided. For solving the fuzzy epidemic model,a numerical scheme is constructed which consists of three time levels. The numerical scheme has an advantage overthe existing forward Euler scheme for determining the conditions of getting the positive solution. The establishedscheme also has an advantage over existing non-standard finite difference methods in terms of order of accuracy. The stability of the scheme for the considered fuzzy model is also provided. From the plotted results,it can beobserved that susceptible people decay by rising interaction parameters.

文摘Wi Fi and fingerprinting localization method have been a hot topic in indoor positioning because of their universality and location-related features. The basic assumption of fingerprinting localization is that the received signal strength indication(RSSI)distance is accord with the location distance. Therefore, how to efficiently match the current RSSI of the user with the RSSI in the fingerprint database is the key to achieve high-accuracy localization. In this paper,a particle swarm optimization-extreme learning machine(PSO-ELM)algorithm is proposed on the basis of the original fingerprinting localization.Firstly,we collect the RSSI of the experimental area to construct the fingerprint database, and the ELM algorithm is applied to the online stages to determine the corresponding relation between the location of the terminal and the RSSI it receives.Secondly,PSO algorithm is used to improve the bias and weight of ELM neural network, and the global optimal results are obtained. Finally, extensive simulation results are presented. It is shown that the proposed algorithm can effectively reduce mean error of localization and improve positioning accuracy when compared with K-Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Kmeans and Back-propagation(BP)algorithms.

文摘In recent years, the mining depth of steeply inclined coal seams in the Urumqi mining area has gradually increased.Local deformation of mining coal-rock results in frequent rockbursts. This has become a critical issue that affects the safe mining of deep, steeply inclined coal seams. In this work,we adopt a perspective centered on localized deformation in coal-rock mining and systematically combine theoretical analyses and extensive data mining of voluminous microseismic data.We describe a mechanical model for the urgently inclined mining of both the sandwiched rock pillar and the roof, explaining the mechanical response behavior of key disaster-prone zones within the deep working face, affected by the dynamics of deep mining.By exploring the spatial correlation inherent in extensive microseismic data,we delineate the“time-space”response relationship that governs the dynamic failure of coal-rock during the progression of the sharply inclined working face. The results disclose that(1)the distinctive coal-rock occurrence structure characterized by a“sandwiched rock pillar-B6 roof”constitutes the origin of rockburst in the southern mining area of the Wudong Coal Mine, with both elements presenting different degrees of deformation localization with increasing mining depth.(2)As mining depth increases, the bending deformation and energy accumulation within the rock pillar and roof show nonlinear acceleration. The localized deformation of deep, steeply inclined coal-rock engenders the spatial superposition of squeezing and prying effects in both the strike and dip directions, increasing the energy distribution disparity and stress asymmetry of the“sandwiched rock pillar-B3+6 coal seam-B6 roof”configuration. This makes worse the propensity for frequent dynamic disasters in the working face.(3)The developed high-energy distortion zone“inner-outer”control technology effectively reduces high stress concentration and energy distortion in the surrounding rock. After implementation, the average apparent resistivity in the rock pillar and B6 roof substantially increased by 430%and 300%,respectively,thus guaranteeing the safe and efficient development of steeply inclined coal seams.

文摘Background Copy number variants(CNV)hold significant functional and evolutionary importance.Numerous ongoing CNV studies aim to elucidate the etiology of human diseases and gain insights into the population structure of livestock.High-density chips have enabled the detection of CNV with increased resolution, leading to the identification of even small CNV.This study aimed to identify CNV in local Italian chicken breeds and investigate their distribution across the genome. Results Copy number variants were mainly distributed across the first six chromosomes and primarily associated with loss type CNV.The majority of CNV in the investigated breeds were of types 0 and 1,and the minimum length of CNV was significantly larger than that reported in previous studies.Interestingly,a high proportion of the length of chromosome 16 was covered by copy number variation regions(CNVR),with the major histocompatibility complex being the likely cause.Among the genes identified within CNVR,only those present in at least five animals across breeds(n=95)were discussed to reduce the focus on redundant CNV.Some of these genes have been associated to functional traits in chickens.Notably, several CNVR on different chromosomes harbor genes related to muscle development,tissue-specific biological processes, heat stress resistance, and immune response.Quantitative trait loci(QTL)were also analyzed to investigate potential overlapping with the identified CNVR:54 out of the 95 gene-containing regions overlapped with 428 QTL associated to body weight and size, carcass characteristics, egg production, egg components, fat deposition, and feed intake. Conclusions The genomic phenomena reported in this study that can cause changes in the distribution of CNV within the genome over time and the comparison of these differences in CNVR of the local chicken breeds could help in preserving these genetic resources.

文摘Topological insulators occupy a prominent position in the realm of condensed matter physics. Additionally, we propose a method for detecting diverse quantum phases utilizing existing experimental setups.
