Love-You Wonderful Thing!A Brief Philosophy and Pedagogy About Love

This study is a brief attempt to uncover the secret of love.From the extremely rich literature on the subject,it relies on only four classic thinkers and writers(Plato,Shakespeare,Attila József,Marx),among whom Marx’s relevant statement is less known even among love researchers.Furthermore,it intends to draw attention to some notable Hungarian philosophers and poets.The ultimate message of the examination is that,although love is the subjective,intimate sphere of a person,it hopefully becomes clear how lovers can create human and communal relationships with each other and with their narrower and broader environment.

Full-Scale Isogeometric Topology Optimization of Cellular Structures Based on Kirchhoff-Love Shells

Cellular thin-shell structures are widely applied in ultralightweight designs due to their high bearing capacity and strength-to-weight ratio.In this paper,a full-scale isogeometric topology optimization(ITO)method based on Kirchhoff-Love shells for designing cellular tshin-shell structures with excellent damage tolerance ability is proposed.This method utilizes high-order continuous nonuniform rational B-splines(NURBS)as basis functions for Kirchhoff-Love shell elements.The geometric and analysis models of thin shells are unified by isogeometric analysis(IGA)to avoid geometric approximation error and improve computational accuracy.The topological configurations of thin-shell structures are described by constructing the effective density field on the controlmesh.Local volume constraints are imposed in the proximity of each control point to obtain bone-like cellular structures.To facilitate numerical implementation,the p-norm function is used to aggregate local volume constraints into an equivalent global constraint.Several numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.After simulation and comparative analysis,the results indicate that the cellular thin-shell structures optimized by the proposed method exhibit great load-carrying behavior and high damage robustness.

The Emergence of Loving Pedagogy in the L2 Affective Domain:How Affective Pedagogy Accounts for Chinese EFL Teachers’Professional Success and Job Satisfaction?

The success of teachers in professional environments has a desirable influence on their mental condition.Simply said,teachers’professional success plays a crucial role in improving their mental health.Due to the invaluable role of professional success in teachers’mental health,personal and professional variables helping teachers succeed in their profession need to be uncovered.While the role of teachers’personal qualities has been well researched,the function of professional variables has remained unknown.To address the existing gap,the current investigation measured the role of two professional variables,namely job satisfaction and loving pedagogy,in Chinese EFL teachers’professional success.To do this,three validated scales were provided to 1591 Chinese EFL teachers.Participants’answers to the questionnaires were analyzed using the Spearman correlation test and structural equation modeling.The data analysis demonstrated a strong,positive link between the variables.Moreover,loving pedagogy was found to be the positive,strong predictor of Chinese EFL teachers’job satisfaction and professional success.The findings of the current inquiry may help educational administrators enhance their instructors’professional success,which in turn promotes their mental and psychological conditions at work.

近年来,Love波多道分析技术在浅地表结构探测中受到越来越广泛的应用.与Rayleigh波相比,Love波相速度不受纵波速度影响,其反演参数较少,可使反演过程更加稳定、求解的横波速度模型更加可靠.高分辨率和多模式面波频散分析是面波多道分析技术中至关重要的一环.本文利用改进Frequency-Bessel变换法对主动源Love波进行频散分析.通过改进的0阶Frequency-Bessel变换,将时间-空间域多道Love波记录变换到频率-波数域,获得其频散能量谱.通过公式推导和数值模拟,验证了该方法的有效性.实例测试表明,该方法具有较高的分辨率和多模式分辨能力,为多分量面波勘探提供了一种有效的频散分析手段.

Love Metaphor in English and Chinese Poetry

Love is a so abstract concept that it always be conveyed through metaphors.In order to reveal how the Chinese and English poetry sets metaphors for love,this article probes into large number of examples of love metaphor and concludes that love metaphors in English and Chinese poetry shares the same conceptual system due to the common natures of human being.On the other hand,the differences in thinking mode and religious value result in their different points.Love metaphors in Chinese poetry are more subtle,reserved,and restrained,which corresponds to the national characteristics of Chinese people;while those in English poetry are more bold,passionate,and romantic,which are also associated with the features of western culture.

Love型槽波三维地震物理模拟试验研究

三维槽波地震物理模拟技术一直以来都是超声地震物理模拟的一个难题,国内外开展的相关工作较少。要成功模拟出Love型槽波,需要从槽波波场特征、模型设计浇筑、数据采集系统、固体采集耦合等方面系统考虑。针对三维槽波地震物理模拟成功的关键技术参数分析、发射接收系统关键器件-换能器的性能特征、不同直径换能器组合的激发接收方式、槽波物理模型设计制作以及固体模型数据采集等方面开展试验研究,成功模拟出了特征明显的Love型透射槽波。研究结果表明:①模型设计时煤层厚度不能大于30 mm,但必须大于换能器尺寸的2倍以上,且应与探头激发的波长相当,否则无法成功激发出明显的Love型槽波;②直径1 mm的点状换能器和直径8 mm的平面换能器,在无负载条件下,从能量传输效率、子波幅频特性等方面对比,平面换能器均优于点状换能器;③点状换能器和平面换能器不同组合方式作为激发、接收点,在铝板和有机玻璃板为负载的综合试验情况下,要在现有设备条件下实现三维槽波物理模拟只能采用平面换能器作为接收点,激发源可任意选择;④平面换能器激发接收的Love型槽波信噪比高、艾里相能量强,能清晰分辨模型中断层,而点状换能器激发接收的槽波记录信噪比、艾里相能量较弱,无法识别模型中的构造。

Influence of Rigid Boundary and Initial Stress on the Propagation of Love Wave

In the present paper we study the effect of rigid boundary on the propagation of Love waves in an inhomogeneous substratum over an initially stressed half space, where the heterogeneity is both in rigidity and density. The dispersion equation of the phase velocity has been derived. It has been found that the phase velocity of Love wave is considerably influenced by the rigid boundary, inhomogeneity and the initial stress present in the half space. The velocity of Love waves have been calculated numerically as a function of KH (where K is a wave number H is a thickness of the layer) and are presented in a number of graphs.

SCATTERING OF LOVE WAVES BY AN INTERFACE CRACK BETWEEN A PIEZOELECTRIC LAYER AND AN ELASTIC SUBSTRATE

The scattering of Love waves by an interface crack between apiezoelectric layers and an elas- tic substrate is investigated byusing the integral transform and singular integral equationtechniques. The dy- namic stress intensity factors of the left andthe right crack tips are determined. It is found from numericalcalculation that the dynamic response of the system dependssignificantly on the crack configuration, the ma- terial combinationand the propagating direction of the incident wave. It is expectedthat specifying an appro- priate material combination may retard thegrowth of the crack for a certain crack configuration.

Study on Wave Field Characteristics and Imaging of Collapse Column in Three-Dimensional Detection with Love Channel Wave Reflected outside the Working Face

The safety accidents caused by collapse column water diversion occur frequently, which has great hidden danger to the safety production of coal mine. Limited by the space of underground, the detection of collapse column on the outside of working face has been a difficult problem. Based on this, numerical simulation and imaging research were carried out in this paper. The results indicate that when a seismic source near the roadway is excited, a part of seismic wave propagates along the roadway direction, namely direct P-wave, direct S-wave and direct Love channel wave. When the body waves and Love channel wave propagating to the outside of working face meet the interface of collapse column, the reflected Love channel wave and reflected body waves are generated. Reflection body waves and direct waves are mixed in time domain, which is difficult to identify in seismic records, while reflected Love channel wave whose amplitude is relatively strong. The reflected Love channel wave which has a large interval from other wave trains in the time domain is easily recognizable in seismic record, which makes it suitable for advanced detection of collapse column. The signal-to-noise ratio of X component is higher than that of Y component and Z component. According to the seismic records, polarization filtering was carried out to enhance the effective wave, which removed the interference waves, and the signal was migrated to get the position parameters of collapse column interface, which was basically consistent with the model position.
