Single-phase low current grounding faults areoften seen in power distribution system of coal mines.These faults are difficult to reliably identify.We propose a new method of single-phase ground fault protection based upon a discernible matrix of the fractal dimension associated with line currents.The method builds on existing selective protection methods.Faulted feeders are distinguished using differences in the zero-sequence transient current fractal dimension.The current signals were first processed through a fast Fourier transform and then the characteristics of a faulted line were identified using a discernible matrix.The method of calculation is illustrated.The results show that the method involves simple calculations, is easy to do and is highly accurate.It is, therefore, suitable for distribution networks having different neutral grounding modes. 展开更多

In this paper,an NMOS output-capacitorless low-dropout regulator(OCL-LDO)featuring dual-loop regulation has been proposed,achieving fast transient response with low power consumption.An event-driven charge pump(CP)loop with the dynamic strength control(DSC),is proposed in this paper,which overcomes trade-offs inherent in conventional structures.The presented design addresses and resolves the large signal stability issue,which has been previously overlooked in the event-driven charge pump structure.This breakthrough allows for the full exploitation of the charge-pump structure's poten-tial,particularly in enhancing transient recovery.Moreover,a dynamic error amplifier is utilized to attain precise regulation of the steady-state output voltage,leading to favorable static characteristics.A prototype chip has been fabricated in 65 nm CMOS technology.The measurement results show that the proposed OCL-LDO achieves a 410 nA low quiescent current(IQ)and can recover within 30 ns under 200 mA/10 ns loading change. 展开更多

Based on a two-dimensional axisymmetric magneto-hydrodynamic (MHD) model, low current vacuum arc (LCVA) characteristics are studied. The influence of cathode process under different axial magnetic fields and different anode radii on LCVA characteristics is also simulated. The results show that the influence of both cathode process and anode radii on LCVA is significant. The sign of anode sheath potentials can change from negative to positive with the decrease of anode radii. The simulation results are in part verified by experimental results. Especially, as the effect of ion kinetic energy is considered, ion temperature is improved significantly; which is in agreement with experimental results. 展开更多

A multi-hole vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) operating in stable single mode with a low threshold current was produced by introducing multi-leaf scallop holes on the top distributed Bragg-refleetor of an oxidation- confined 850 nm VCSEL. The single-mode output power of 2.6 mW, threshold current of 0.6 mA, full width of half maximum lasing spectrum of less than 0.1 nm, side mode suppression ratio of 28.4 dB, and far-field divergence angle of about 10% are obtained. The effects of different hole depths on the optical characteristics are simulated and analysed, including far-field divergence, spectrum and lateral cavity mode. The single-mode performance of this multi-hole device is attributed to the large radiation loss from the inter hole spacing and the scattering loss at the bottom of the holes, particularly for higher order modes. 展开更多

The results show that the ion temperature, electron temperature, ion number density, axial current density and plasma pressure all decrease with the increase of the cathode IJAs. It is also shown that LCVA can cause a current constriction for lower cathode IND, and the anode sheath potential is more nonuniform, which is mainly related to the nonuniform distribution of the axial current density at the anode side. 展开更多

We report on the room-temperature cascade laser (QCL) at λ -4.7μm. cw operation of a surface grating Both grating design and material distributed feedback (DFB) quantum optimization are used to decrease the threshold current density and to increase the output power. For a high-reflectivity-coated 13-μm-wide and 4- mm-long laser, high wall-plug efficiency of 6% is obtained at 20℃ from a single facet producing over I W of ew output power. The threshold current density of DFB QCL is as low as 1.13kA/cm^2 at 10℃ and 1.34kA/cm2 at 30℃ in cw mode. Stable single-mode emission with a side-mode suppression ratio of about 30 dB is observed in tile working temperature range of 20-50℃. 展开更多

The I-V characteristics and low frequency noises for indium zinc oxide thin film transistor are measured between 250 K and 430 K. The experimental results show that drain currents are thermally activated following the Meyer Neldel rule, which can be explained by the multiple-trapping process. Moreover, the field effect electron mobility firstly increases, and then decreases with the increase of temperature, while the threshold voltage decreases with increasing the temperature. The activation energy and the density of localized gap states are extracted. A noticeable increase in the density of localized states is observed at the higher temperatures. 展开更多

Multiple regression equations of liquidus temperature, electrical conductivity and bath density of the Na_3AlF_6-AlF_3-BaC1_2-NaCl system were obtained from experiments by using orthogonal regression method. The experiments were carried out in 100A cell with low melting point electrolyte, the influences of cathodic current density, electrolytic temperature, density differences of bath and liquid aluminum on current efficiency (CE) were studied; when the electrolyte cryolite ratio was 2.5, w(BaC1_2) and w(NaCl) were 48% and 10%, respectively, CE reached 90% and specific energy consumption was 10.97k Wb/kg/kg. Because of the fact that aluminum metal obtained floated on the surface of molten electrolyte, this electrolysis method was then defined as low temperature aluminum floating electrolysis. The results showed that the new low temperature aluminum electrolysis process in the Na_3AlF_6-AlF_3-BaC1_2-NaCl bath system was practical and promising. 展开更多

Any surplus production is fed into the grid and contributes to improving the voltage. Several techniques are developed to model their connection. However, studies on methods of injecting energy production into the Low Voltage (LV) network are nowadays a problem. This paper proposes a mathematical model to determine the current to be injected and calculate each node’s voltage. The current equation is a recurrence relation with an initial condition. This initial condition is for the case of a single PV system connected to the LV grid. The equation can also be written in matrix form. Similarly, the voltage solution is a recurrence relation. It also has an initial condition for the first node. Both mathematical formulae with the proposed initial conditions are consistent and can be used for the determination of the current and voltage of the different nodes in the grid. 展开更多

灵活接地系统中,基于稳态故障特征构成的单相接地保护普遍存在耐过渡电阻能力低的问题,并联小电阻投入后该问题进一步突出。文中研究了并联小电阻投入后故障线路与非故障线路低频暂态零序电流中暂态直流分量比值关系,发现暂态直流分量... 灵活接地系统中,基于稳态故障特征构成的单相接地保护普遍存在耐过渡电阻能力低的问题,并联小电阻投入后该问题进一步突出。文中研究了并联小电阻投入后故障线路与非故障线路低频暂态零序电流中暂态直流分量比值关系,发现暂态直流分量比值仅与对地电容有关。分析了故障线路与非故障线路低频暂态零序电流畸变率之间比值关系,进一步提出了一种基于低频暂态零序电流畸变率的灵活接地系统单相高阻接地故障选线方法。通过比较特定时间窗口内各馈线低频暂态零序电流畸变率的大小实现故障选线,并可准确区分母线故障与出线故障。该方法能够避免零序电压互感器断线与零序电流互感器极性反接的影响,且受故障距离影响小。同时,该方法采用暂态故障特征构成选线判据,有利于克服并联小电阻投入后稳态故障分量微弱的问题,对互感器精度要求不高。最后,通过实时数字仿真和实验平台分别验证了所述方法的准确性和有效性。 展开更多

北太平洋低纬度西边界流系湍流混合的微观结构测量和参数化方法评估

湍流混合在调控海洋垂向物质、能量交换以及气候变化中都起着重要作用,尤其是在北太平洋低纬度西边界流系,湍流混合通过调节温跃层及海气相互作用,在西太平洋暖池结构及演化和厄尔尼诺与南方涛动的发生、发展中都起着关键作用。然而,由... 湍流混合在调控海洋垂向物质、能量交换以及气候变化中都起着重要作用,尤其是在北太平洋低纬度西边界流系,湍流混合通过调节温跃层及海气相互作用,在西太平洋暖池结构及演化和厄尔尼诺与南方涛动的发生、发展中都起着关键作用。然而,由于湍流观测的高风险性和高费船时特征,直接的湍流观测资料非常稀缺,因此,对该海域的湍流混合认知大多数来自细尺度参数化估计。鉴于湍流的高时变特征及该海域海洋环流结构的复杂性及西边界流区动力环境的特殊性,验证不同细尺度参数化方法对该海域湍流估算的适用性对于我们准确了解该海域的垂向混合特征、提升其在数值模拟的精度具有重要作用。本研究利用2020年9月在北太平洋低纬度西边界流系沿130°E,10°~18°N进行的直接的微结构观测剖面仪和同期获取的细尺度温盐流测量,研究该海域湍流混合的特征及两种常用的参数化方法--GHP(Gregg-Henyey-Polzin)参数化方法、MG(MacKinnon-Gregg)参数化方法在该海域的适用性。观测结果表明,该海域上200 m湍流混合总体较强,直接观测得到的平均湍动能耗散率约为10^(-8)W/kg。在温跃层中,某些站点观测的湍动能耗散率可达10^(-7)W/kg,特别是在14°N附近,24.5σθ与25.5σθ之间发现一块强湍动能耗散区,初步分析表明其机制与全日内潮的参数化次谐波不稳定有关。参数化评估结果显示,MG方法与观测值相差0.5个数量级的比例为95%,而基于应变的GHP方法和基于剪切的GHP方法与观测值相差0.5个数量级的比例分别为55%和58%,表明MG方法能较好地估算低纬度西边界流系的湍流混合特征并在水平分布和垂直分布表现出一致的分布特征。该评价结果可为研究人员选择细尺度参数化来探讨北太平洋低纬度西边界流系湍流混合的强度和空间分布提供有益参考。 展开更多

With rapid increase of distributed solar power generation and direct current(DC)based loads such as data centers,electric vehicles(EVs),and DC household appliances,the development trend of the power system is changed from conventional alternate current(AC)to DC.Traditional AC power systems can scarcely meet the development demand of new DC trends,especially since both the generation side and load side are comprised of DC-based electronic power components.With this background,low voltage direct current supply and utilization system(LVDCSUS)has attracted more and more attention for its great advantages over an AC grid to overcome challenges in operation,reliability,and energy loss in renewable energy connection,DC load power utilization and a number of other aspects.However,the definition of the LVDCSUS is still not clear even though many demonstration projects have been put into planning and operation.In order to provide a clear description of LVDCSUS,first,the characteristics of LVDCSUS are illustrated in this paper to show the advance of the LVDCSUS.Second,the potential application scenarios of LVDCSUS are presented in this paper.Third,application of LVDCSUS technologies and some demonstration projects in China are introduced.Besides the development of the LVDCSUS,key technologies,including but not limited to planning and design,voltage levels,control strategies,and key equipment of LVDCSUS,are discussed in this paper.Finally,future application areas and the research orientations of LVDCSUS are analyzed. 展开更多
