The low stress abrasion behaviours of heat treated mild, medium carbon and high C - low Cr steels, which are generally used in making farm implements, have been investigated. The simple heat treatment greatly improves the hardness, tensile strength and abrasion resistance of medium carbon and high C - low Cr steels. The results indicate that the material removal during abrasion is controlled by a number of factors, such as hardness, chemical composition, microstructure and heat treatment conditions. The conclusion is that the heat treated high C - low Cr steel and mild steel carburized by using coaltar pitch provide the best hardness and abrasion resistance and thus appear to be the most suitable materials for making agricultural tools. 展开更多

The influence of heating temperature on mechanical properties of low chromium wear resistant cast iron containing rare earth elements was studied by means of metallographic examination, scanning electron microscopic examination and mechanical property test. The experimental results show that heating temperature has great effect on impact toughness (α_k), bending fatigue (σ_(bb)) and relative toughness (σ_(bb)×f), but little effect on hardness (HRC). When the specimen was held at 960 ℃ for 3 h, it has better comprehensive mechanical properties, and the reason and regularity of the change for mechanical properties of the cast iron were reviewed. 展开更多

The results show that for the cast steel after deformed, the amount of granular carbides of precipitation during the cooling decreased with the increase of the cooling rate, but the hardness was obviously enhanced, as a result, better mechanical properties will be obtained by force air cooling(cooling rate is about 7 ℃·s-1). The experimental results show that RE can improve the wear resistance of wear resistant cast iron containing low alloy, especially for impact wear resistance. The optimum wear resistance of wear resistant cast iron containing low alloy modified by RE of 0.046% can be obtained by normalization at 950 ℃ for 3 h. The results show that the thermal fatigue cracks are mainly generated at eutectic carbides,and the cracks are grown by themselves spreading and joining each other. RE can improve the eutectic carbide′s morphology,inhibit the generation and propagation of thermal fatigue cracks,therefore,promote the activation energy for the crack′s propagation,and especially,which is more noticeable in case of the RE modification in combination with heat treatment. 展开更多

The introduction of surface engineering is expected to be an effective strategy against fretting damage. A large number of studies show that the low gas multi-component (such as carbon, nitrogen, sulphur and oxygen, etc) thermo-chemical treatment(LTGMTT) can overcome the brittleness of nitriding process, and upgrade the surface hardness and improve the wear resistance and fatigue properties of the work-pieces significantly. However, there are few reports on the anti-fretting properties of the LTGMTT modified layer up to now, which limits the applications of fretting. So this paper discusses the fretting wear behavior of modified layer on the surface of LZ50 (0.48%C) steel prepared by low temperature gas multi-component thermo-chemical treatment (LTGMTT) technology. The fretting wear tests of the modified layer flat specimens and its substrate (LZ50 steel) against 52100 steel balls with diameter of 40 mm are carried out under normal load of 150 N and displacement amplitudes varied from 2 μm to 40 μm. Characterization of the modified layer and dynamic analyses in combination with microscopic examinations were performed through the means of scanning electron microscope(SEM), optical microscope(OM), X-ray diffraction(XRD) and surface profilometer. The experimental results showed that the modified layer with a total thickness of 60 μm was consisted of three parts, i.e., loose layer, compound layer and diffusion layer. Compared with the substrate, the range of the mixed fretting regime(MFR) of the LTGMTT modified layer diminished, and the slip regime(SR) of the modified layer shifted to the direction of smaller displacement amplitude. The coefficient of friction(COF) of the modified layer was lower than that of the substrate in the initial stage. For the modified layer, the damage in partial slip regime(PSR) was very slight. The fretting wear mechanism of the modified layer both in MFR and SR was abrasive wear and delamination. The modified layer presented better wear resistance than the substrate in PSR and MFR; however, in SR, the wear resistance of the modified layer decreased with the increase of the displacement amplitudes. The experimental results can provide some experimental bases for promoting industrial application of LTGMTT modified layer in anti-fretting wear. 展开更多

轮轨摩擦系数对低地板轻轨动力响应及车轮磨耗的影响

为了确保低地板轻轨车辆安全且平稳地运行,以某轻轨线路为依托,利用多体动力学软件UM(Universal Mechanism)建立了低地板轻轨车辆-轨道耦合动力学模型。选用LM磨耗型车轮踏面以及R50标准钢轨,以美国六级不平顺轨道谱作为线路激扰。基于H... 为了确保低地板轻轨车辆安全且平稳地运行,以某轻轨线路为依托,利用多体动力学软件UM(Universal Mechanism)建立了低地板轻轨车辆-轨道耦合动力学模型。选用LM磨耗型车轮踏面以及R50标准钢轨,以美国六级不平顺轨道谱作为线路激扰。基于Hertz及Kalker简化理论、Archard模型,进行不同摩擦系数共5个工况下车辆动力响应以及车轮磨耗变化规律的仿真分析。在此基础上进一步分析了4个不同运行里程阶段对应共96组车轮磨耗型面下轻轨车辆安全性指标的变化规律。研究了4个不同运行里程阶段对应的不同车轮磨耗型面下车辆过曲线时安全性指标随摩擦系数的变化情况。结果表明:脱轨系数、轮轴横向力、轮轨横向力、车体横向加速度受摩擦系数的影响较为显著,而轮重减载率、车体垂向加速度对摩擦系数的改变并不敏感。车轮磨耗深度随里程和摩擦系数的增加而增大,且相同工况下独立旋转车轮的磨耗情况更加严重。在车辆运行40000 km后,其轮轨横向力、轮轴横向力、脱轨系数整体呈现随里程增加而增大的规律,而轮重减载率基本不受运行里程的影响。在不同摩擦系数及运行里程的叠加影响下,轮轨横向力、轮轴横向力、脱轨系数的峰值出现的位置不同,而轮重减载率却始终处于较为稳定的状态。 展开更多

[目的]奥氏体不锈钢被广泛用于制造各种航空电子装备零部件,但其硬度和耐磨性欠佳。[方法]采用低温液体氧氮化技术对304奥氏体不锈钢进行表面改性处理。采用扫描电子显微镜、透射电子显微镜、维氏硬度计等分析了所得复合改性层的微观组织和截面显微硬度分布,通过摩擦磨损试验探究了表面改性层的耐磨性。[结果]低温液体氧氮化表面改性层由外侧致密的Fe_(3)O_(4)相和内侧富氮S相构成。S相是含氮过饱和固溶体,含有大量位错、层错和孪晶,因此硬度较高。载荷和温度会影响不锈钢样品的磨损行为,温度升高和载荷增大都会使304奥氏体不锈钢样品和低温液体氧氮化样品的平均摩擦因数轻微下降,磨损体积损失增大。不过低温液体氧氮化处理能够缩短304奥氏体不锈钢样品初始磨损阶段的持续时间,使其在载荷10 N、温度200℃条件下的最大磨损体积损失由1.086 mm^(3)降至0.144 mm^(3)。[结论]低温液体氧氮化处理能够显著提高304奥氏体不锈钢的耐磨性。 展开更多

GH4169合金因具有良好的高温强度及耐腐蚀性等,在航空航天领域应用广泛,但其也存在表面硬度低、耐磨性差的问题。固相渗硼是提高GH4169合金耐磨性能的有效手段,但常用渗硼工艺普遍采用900℃以上高温,这会破坏合金时效处理所得到的析出相结构。本实验将GH4169合金热处理时效过程与渗硼过程相统一,通过引入ZrO_(2)作为新型催渗剂获得了厚度约8.2μm的致密渗硼层。分析发现渗硼层由Cr_(5)B_(3)、Cr_(2)B、Ni_(2)B和FexNi_(23-x)B_(6)复合相组成,表面硬度高达2622.9 HV0.1,并在与氮化硅球对磨时呈现出极低的磨损率值,即8.5×10^(-6)mm^(3)/(N·m)。 展开更多
