In this work, the evolution of coating layers grown at different pH values is investigated involving analyses on their composition and microstructure. An insulation coating obtained using an acidic NaNO_(3) solution is found to contain Fe2O_(3), SiO_(2), Al2O_(3), and AlO(OH). The Fe2O_(3) transforms into Fe3O4 with weakened oxidizability of the NO_(3)– at an elevated pH, whereas an alkaline NaNO_(3) solution leads to the production of Al2O_(3), AlO(OH), and SiO_(2). Such growth is explained from both thermodynamic and kinetic perspectives and is correlated to the soft magnetic properties of the FeSiAl SMCs. Under tuned passivation conditions, optimal performance with an effective permeability of 97.2 and a core loss of 296.4 mW∙cm−3 is achieved at 50 kHz and 100 mT.展开更多

However, core loss is still the focused issue for SMCs that hinders their sustainable development and widespread applications. In the present study, high-performance SMCs were fabricated by novel Fe_(74)B_(7)C_(7)P_(7)Si_(3)Mo_(1)Cr_(1) powders with spherical shape and a fully glassy structure, which were successfully prepared by a gas atomization method. The microstructure and high-frequency magnetic properties of these SMCs were studied in detail. To enhance the soft ferromagnetism, the effects of annealing temperature(T_a) and powder size on their performance were clarified. Increasing T_a up to 703 K not only helps to effectively release internal stress in the powders, but also improves the integrity of the insulation layer structure, which is conducive to decreasing the core loss. In addition, reducing the powder size contributes to the overall performance enhancement. Prepared from the powders with the smallest mean particle size and annealed at 703 K, the SMC exhibits optimum property combination of a stable effective permeability of 26.2 up to 1 MHz, a total core loss of 883 kW m^(–3)(100 kHz, 100 mT), and a DC-Bias performance of 79.3% under 100 Oe field, which is even comparable to those of the most prominent SMCs reported so far. These results are meaningful for potentially stimulating the development and application of new low-loss SMCs.展开更多

Various techniques are employed to produce this magnetic abrasive, but few can meet production demands because they are usually time-consuming, complex with high cost, and the magnetic abrasives made by these techniques have irregular shape and low bonding strength that result in low processing efficiency and shorter service life. Therefore, an attempt is made by combining gas atomization and rapid solidification to fabricate a new iron-based SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive. The experimental system to prepare this new magnetic abrasive is constructed according to the characteristics of gas atomization and rapid solidification process and the performance requirements of magnetic abrasive. The new iron-based SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive is prepared successfully when the machining parameters and the composition proportion of the raw materials are controlled properly. Its morphology, microstructure, phase composition are characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis. The MAF tests on plate of mold steel S136 are carried out without grinding lubricant to assess the finishing performance and service life of this new SiC magnetic abrasive. The surface roughness(Ra) of the plate worked is rapidly reduced to 0.051 μm from an initial value of 0.372 μm within 5 min. The MAF test is carried on to find that the service life of this new SiC magnetic abrasive reaches to 155 min. The results indicate that this process presented is feasible to prepare the new SiC magnetic abrasive; and compared with previous magnetic abrasives, the new SiC spherical composite magnetic abrasive has excellent finishing performance, high processing efficiency and longer service life. The presented method to fabricate magnetic abrasive through gas atomization and rapid solidification presented can significantly improve the finishing performance and service life of magnetic abrasive, and provide a more practical approach for large-scale industrial production of magnetic abrasive.展开更多

Each of sub-units is composed of two gold rods in transverse arrangement and one gold rod in longitudinal arrangement. Simulating electromagnetic responses of the structure, we verify that the structure exhibits the double Fano resonances, which originate from the coupling between magnetic quadrupoles and electric dipoles and the coupling between electric quadrupoles and electric dipoles. Simulation results also demonstrate that the structure is polarization-insensitive and shows an analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency at the two Fano resonances. Such a plasmonic structure has potential applications in photoelectric elements.展开更多

These results are meaningful for potentially stimulating the development and application of new low-loss SMCs.

文摘Soft magnetic composites(SMCs)play a pivotal role in the development of high-frequency,miniaturization and complex forming of modern electronics. However, they usually suffer from a trade-off between high magnetization and good magnetic softness(high permeability and low core loss). In this work, utilizing the order modulation strategy,a critical state in a FeSiBCCr amorphous soft magnetic composite(ASMC),consisting of massive crystal-like orders(CLOs,∼1 nm in size)with the feature ofα-Fe,is designed. This critical-state structure endows the amorphous powder with the enhanced ferromagnetic exchange interactions and the optimized magnetic domains with uniform orientation and fewer micro-vortex dots.Superior comprehensive soft magnetic properties at high frequency emerge in the ASMC,such as a high saturation magnetization(Ms)of 170 emu g^(-1)and effective permeability(µ_(e))of 65 combined with a core loss(Pcv)as low as 70 mW cm^(-3)(0.01 T,1 MHz).This study provides a new strategy for the development of high-frequency ASMCs,possessing suitable comprehensive soft magnetic performance to match the requirements of the modern magnetic devices used in the third-generation semiconductors and new energy fields.

文摘The adverse effects of eutrophication have prompted the use of various remediation techniques for phosphate(PO_(4)^(3-))removal owing to it being the major causative agent.Herein, the influence of different solvents and ratios of 2-aminoterepthalicacid on the efficiency of magnetic biomass metal-organic framework composites based on the in situ growth of NH_(2)-MIL-101(Fe)onto magnetized peanut husks towards PO_(4)^(3-)removal was assessed via the adsorption technique. The magnetic biocomposite labelled as MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)exhibited the best efficiency owing to its mesoporous structures and presence of abundant oxygen and nitrogen possessing functional groups.Adsorption results confirmed MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)to have a high adsorption capacity of(14.0±0.3)mg·L^(-1)at a PO43-concentration of 20 mg·L^(-1)with an associated high stability within pH 2-10.The adsorption kinetics for the process was well described by both Elovich and pseudo-second-order kinetic models and was mediated by both internal diffusion and liquid film diffusion. The Temkin and Freundlich models fitted the equilibrium data well signifying occurrence of both physical and chemical adsorption on a heterogeneous surface. It is concluded that MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)is a promising adsorbent for the effective removal of phosphate from a water body.

文摘Magnetic Cu^0/Fe3O4 submicron composites were prepared using a hydrothermal method and used as heterogeneous catalysts for the activation of peroxymonosulfate(PMS) and the degradation of organic pollutants. The as-prepared magnetic Cu^0/Fe3O4 submicron composites were composed of Cu^0 and Fe3O4 crystals and had an average size of approximately 220 nm.The Cu^0/Fe3O4 composites could efficiently catalyze the activation of PMS to generate singlet oxygen, and thus induced the rapid degradation of rhodamine B,methylene blue, orange Ⅱ,phenol and 4-chlorophenol.The use of0.1 g/L of the Cu^0/Fe3O4 composites induced the complete removal of rhodamine B(20 μmol/L) in15 min, methylene blue(20 μmol/L) in 5 min, orange Ⅱ(20 μmol/L) in 10 min,phenol(0.1mmol/L) in 30 min and 4-chlorophenol(0.1 mmol/L) in 15 min with an initial pH value of 7.0 and a PMS concentration of 0.5 mmol/L.The total organic carbon(TOC) removal higher than 85%for all of these five pollutants was obtained in 30 min when the PMS concentration was 2.5 mmol/L.The rate of degradation was considerably higher than that obtained with Cu^0 or Fe3O4 particles alone. The enhanced catalytic activity of the Cu^0/Fe3O4 composites in the activation of PMS was attributed to the synergistic effect of the Cu^0 and Fe3O4 crystals in the composites.Singlet oxygen was identified as the primary reactive oxygen species responsible for pollutant degradation by electron spin resonance and radical quenching experiments.A possible mechanism for the activation of PMS by Cu^0/Fe3O4 composites is proposed as electron transfer from the organic pollutants to PMS induces the activation of PMS to generate ^1O2,which induces the degradation of the organic pollutants. As a magnetic catalyst, the Cu^0/Fe3O4 composites were easily recovered by magnetic separation, and exhibited excellent stability over five successive degradation cycles. The present study provides a facile and green heterogeneous catalysis method for the oxidative removal of organic pollutants.

文摘To fully release the potential of wide bandgap(WBG)semiconductors and achieve high energy density and efficiency,a carbonyl iron soft magnetic composite(SMC)with an easy plane-like structure is prepared.Due to this structure, the permeability of the composite increases by 3 times(from 7.5 to 21.5)at 100 MHz compared with to the spherical carbonyl iron SMC,and the permeability changes little at frequencies below 100 MHz.In addition, the natural resonance frequency of the composite shifts to higher frequencies at 1.7 GHz.The total core losses of the composites at 10,20,and 30 m T are80.0,355.3,and 810.7 m W/cm^(3),respectively,at 500 k Hz.Compared with the spherical carbonyl iron SMC,the core loss at500 k Hz is reduced by more than 60%.Therefore,this kind of soft magnetic composite with an easy plane-like structure is a good candidate for unlocking the potential of WBG semiconductors and developing the next-generation power electronics.

文摘SiC magnetic abrasive is used to polish surfaces of precise, complex parts which are hard, brittle and highly corrosion-resistant in magnetic abrasive finishing(MAF). The presented method to fabricate magnetic abrasive through gas atomization and rapid solidification presented can significantly improve the finishing performance and service life of magnetic abrasive, and provide a more practical approach for large-scale industrial production of magnetic abrasive.

文摘A combined structure with the unit cell consisting of four sub-units with 90° rotation in turn is designed. Such a plasmonic structure has potential applications in photoelectric elements.

文摘Magnetic nano zinc ferrite fliuds were synthesized using an improved liquid phase chemical method, which would be used to replace tradditional iron oxides magnetic material. A novel copolymer (PLAA) with D, L-lactide (D, L-LA) and alanine was synthesized using stannous octoate as initiator. Magnetic polymer microspheres were fabricated with nano zinc ferrite fluid coated with alanine modified poly lactide. These as-prepared zinc ferrite fluids, modified poly lactide and magnetic composites, were characterized with X-ray diffraction diffractometer, FT-IR spectrometer, nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, vibrating sample magnetometer, and thermogravimetric analyzer. The results demonstrate that the as-prepared zinc ferrite is spinel type of ZnFe2O4 nano crystals with particle size of 20-45 nm and magnetization of 32×10^-3 A.m2. Alanine is copolymerized with lactide, and the prepared composite magnetic microsphere is coated with the modified polylactide, with mass fraction of 45.5% of PLA, particle size ranging from 80-300 nm, and magnetization of 10.6×10^-3 A·m^2, which suggests ZnFe2O4 enjoys a stable magnetization after being coated by polymer.

文摘Magnetic Fe3 O4@Cu/Ce microspheres were successfully prepared by one-step solvothermal approach and further utilized to remediate toxic arsenic(As(Ⅲ)) pollution. The effects of Cu/Ce elements co-doping on the crystal structure, catalytic oxidation and adsorption behaviors of magnetic microspheres were researched systematically. The results showed that with the aid of Cu/Ce elements, the grain size reduced, lattice defects increased, and the oxygen vacancies and surface hydroxyl groups were improved. Therefore, Cu/Ce elements endowed magnetic Fe3 O4@Cu/Ce microspheres with excellent As(III) removal performance, whose maximum adsorption capacity reached 139.19 mg/g. The adsorption mechanism mainly involved catalytic oxidant co-adsorption. This research developed a feasible strategy for the preparation of high efficiency magnetic adsorbent to enhance the removal of As(Ⅲ).

文摘The performance of traditional flux switching permanent magnet tubular machine(FSPMTM)are improved by using new material and structure in this paper. The existing silicon steel sheet making for all mover cores or part of stator cores are replaced by soft magnetic composite(SMC)cores, and the lamination direction of the silicon steel sheet in stator cores have be changed. The eddy current loss of the machine with hybrid cores will be reduced greatly as the magnetic flux will not pass through the silicon steel sheet vertically. In order to reduce the influence of end effect, the unequal stator width design method is proposed. With the new design, the symmetry of the permanent magnet flux linkage has been improved greatly and the cogging force caused by the end effect has been reduced. Both 2-D and 3-D finite element methods(FEM)are applied for the quantitative analysis.
