The system of non-linear partial differential equations governing the flow was solved using finite difference numerical approximation method. The resulting numerical schemes were simulated in MATLAB software. Furthermore, the skin-friction coefficient, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number have been presented in tabular form and discussed. The findings demonstrated that increasing Reynolds number increases velocity profiles while increasing permeability parameter, suction parameter and angle of inclination for the applied magnetic field reduces the velocity profiles of the fluid flow. Temperature of the fluid increases as the angle of inclination, magnetic number, Reynolds number and Eckert number increase but decreases as Prandtl number increases. Induced magnetic field profiles decrease as magnetic Prandtl number and suction parameter increase. Concentration profiles decrease as the chemical reaction parameter and Schmidt number increase but increase as the Soret number increases. The study is significant because fluid flow and heat transfer mechanisms with the variable magnetic considerations play an important role in magnetohydrodynamic generator or dynamo and magnetohydrodynamic pumps, nuclear reactors, vehicle thermal control, heat exchangers, cancer therapy, wound treatment and hyperthermia.展开更多

The governing equations were transformed by similarity transformation and the resulting ordinary differential equations were solved by collocation method. The velocity, temperature, concentration and magnetic induction profiles were determined with help of various flow parameters. The numerical scheme was simulated with aid of MATLAB. The results showed that increasing the squeeze number only boosts velocity and concentration while lowering temperature. Conversely, increasing the Hartmann number, Reynold’s magnetic number, Eckert number and Thermal Grashof number generally increases temperature but decreases both velocity and concentration. Chemical reaction rate and Soret number solely elevate concentration while Schmidt number only reduces it. The results of this study will be useful in the fields of oil and gas industry, plastic processing industries, filtration, food processing, lubrication system in machinery, Microfluidics devices for drug delivery and other related fields of nanotechnology.展开更多

As a result, the groundwater chemical fields are characterized by lengthwise stages and planar selectivity. The former arouses vertical chemical zonality of groundwater. Five units could be identified downwards in the Songliao basin: (1) freshening zone due to downward-leaching meteoric water, (2) concentration zone due to evaporation near the ground surface, (3) freshening zone due to mudstone compaction and water release, and concentration zone due to compaction and infiltration, (4) freshening zone due to dehydration of clay minerals, and (5) filtration-concentration zone; whereas the latter determines the planar division of groundwater chemical fields: (1) the freshening area due to meteoric water, asymmetrically on the margin of the basin, (2) the freshening area due to mudstone compaction and water release in the central part of the basin, (3) the leaky area, which is a transitional zone, and (4) leakage-evaporation area, which is a concentration zone. In the direction of centrifugal flows caused by mudstone compaction in the depression area, the mineralization degree, concentrations of Na^+ and Cl^-, and salinity coefficient (SC) increase, while concentrations of (CO3^2- +HCO3^-) and SO4^2-, metamorphism coefficient (MC) and desulfuration coefficient (DSC) decrease. However, all these parameters increase in the direction of gravity-induced centripetal flows.展开更多

The fluid conduit system at the time of intensive oil accumulation in the field was reconstructed, and petroleum migration pathways were modeled using a 3-D model and traced by geochemical parameters. The forward modeling and inversion tracing coincided with each other and both indicated that oils accumulated in the Puguang-Dongyuezhai structure originated from a generative kitchen to the northwest of the Puguang gas field. The deposition of organic-rich Upper Permian source rocks dominated by sapropelic organic matter in the Northeast Sichuan Basin, the development of fluid conduit system that was vertically near-source rock and laterally near-generative kitchen, and the focusing of oils originated from a large area of the generative kitchen, were the three requirements for the formation of the giant paleo-oil reservoir from which the giant Puguang gas field evolved. The Puguang gas field had experienced a three-stage evolution. The post-accumulation processes, especially the organic-inorganic interaction in the hydrocarbon-water-rock system, had not only profoundly altered the composition and characteristics of the petroleum fluids, but also obviously changed the physicochemical conditions in the reservoir and resulted in complicated precipitation and solution of carbonate minerals.展开更多

The surface morphology and the structure of the fabricated films were characterized by using scanning electron microscopes and Raman spectroscopy, respectively. The stable field emission properties with a low threshold field of 5V/μm corresponding to a current density of about 1μA/cm^2 and a current density of 3.2mA/cm^2 at an electric field of 10V/μm were obtained from the carbon film deposited at CH4 concentration of 8%. The mechanism that the threshold field decreased with the increase of the CH4 concentration and the high emission current appeared at the high CH4 concentration was explained by using the Fowler-Nordheim theory.展开更多

Fenton oxidation, which has been widely applied to detoxifying hazardous organic compounds and improving the biodegradability of these compounds, can solve this problem. So, in this paper, Fenton oxidation was used to enhance the biodegradability of the wastewater after chemical flooding. The op- timum operating conditions for the Fenton oxidation process were 2.5 g/L Fe2 + , 600 mg/L H202 and 30 rain of treatment time. The wastewater pre- treated by Fenton oxidation was treated by aerobic activated sludge. It was found that a small amount of H202 can significantly increase both the biodegradation rate and extent of the wastewater. The effluent CODc, and HPAM contents were 260 and 94 mg/L respectively after the aerobic bio- logical process with the biodegradation time of 24 h. After Fenton oxidation combining with biodegradation, the total CODc, removal efficiency was up to 90%, and polymer and oil degrading efficiencies were 95% and 92% respectively.展开更多

Both nanostructures are proven to be single crystals with cubic structure, and they both grow along the [001] direction. Formation of both nanostructures is attributed to the vapor-liquid-solid(VLS) mechanism, and the content of boron vapor is proposed to be the reason for their different morphologies at various evaporation distances. Field emission(FE) measurements show that the maximum current density of both the as-grown nanowires and nanopencils can be several hundred μA/cm^2, and their FN plots deviate only slightly from a straight line. Moreover, we prefer the generalized Schottky-Nordheim(SN) model to comprehend the difference in FE properties between the nanowires and nanopencils. The results reveal that the nonlinearity of FN plots is attributable to the effect of image potential on the FE process, which is almost independent of the morphology of the nanostructures. All the research results suggest that the SmB6 nanostructures would have a more promising future in the FE area if their surface oxide layer was eliminated in advance.展开更多

文摘The aim of this study is to examine the unsteady hydromagnetic flow of non-Newtonian nanofluid past a stretching sheet in the presence of variable magnetic field and chemical reaction. The study is significant because fluid flow and heat transfer mechanisms with the variable magnetic considerations play an important role in magnetohydrodynamic generator or dynamo and magnetohydrodynamic pumps, nuclear reactors, vehicle thermal control, heat exchangers, cancer therapy, wound treatment and hyperthermia.

文摘The Class-Ⅲ oil reservoirs of Lasaxing oilfield in the Daqing Oil Fields complex have geological oil reserves of 1.86 billion tonnes,an oil recovery of 39%,with remaining reserves accounting for more than 45%of the total geological reserves of the oilfield. Therefore, they have considerable potential for future oil production. The current layered injection technologies fail to achieve effective control over the low single-layer injection rates since they can only produce low throttle differential pressure under low injection rates(5-20 m^(3)/d).In this study,a symmetrically-structured double-offset-hole injection allocator and a novel throttling component were developed.Their spatial layout was constructed and mechanical parameters were optimized using finite element analysis, which allows for expanding the flow rate range at low injection rates.According to experimental results, the throttle differential pressure increased from 0.2 MPa to 0.8 MPa at an injection rate of 5 m^(3)/d,and the range of the single-layer flow rates expanded from 20-70 m^(3)/d to 5-70 m3/d.The field test results show that the effective production of oil layers with medium and low permeability was achieved and that the ratio of producing oil layer thickness to the total reservoir thickness increased by 9.7%on average. Therefore, this study provides valuable technical support for the effective chemical-flooding-based development of Class-Ⅲ oil reservoirs.
文摘In this study, Hydromagnetic Squeezing Nanofluid flow between two vertical plates in presence of a chemical reaction has been investigated. 文摘Purpose:To reveal the typical features of text duplication in papers from four medical fields:basic medicine, health management, pharmacology and pharmacy, and public health and preventive medicine. To analyze the reasons for duplication and provide suggestions for the management of medical academic misconduct.Design/methodology/approach:In total,2,469 representative Chinese journal papers were included in our research, which were submitted by researchers in 2020 and 2021.A plagiarism check was carried out using the Academic Misconduct Literature Check System(AMLC).We generated a corrected similarity index based on the AMLC general similarity index for further analysis. We compared the similarity indices of papers in four medical fields and revealed their trends over time;differences in similarity index between review and research articles were also analyzed according to the different fields.Further analysis of 143 papers suspected of plagiarism was also performed from the perspective of sections containing duplication and according to the field of research.Findings:Papers in the field of pharmacology and pharmacy had the highest similarity index(8.67±5.92%),which was significantly higher than that in other fields, except health management. The similarity index of review articles(9.77±10.28%)was significantly higher than that of research articles(7.41±6.26%).In total,143 papers were suspected of plagiarism(5.80%)with similarity indices≥15%;most were papers on health management(78,54.55%),followed by public health and preventive medicine(38,26.58%);90.21%of the 143 papers had duplication in multiple sections, while only 9.79%had duplication in a single section. The distribution of sections with duplication varied among different fields;papers in pharmacology and pharmacy were more likely to have duplication in the data/methods and introduction/background sections, however, papers in health management were more likely to contain duplication in the introduction/background or results/discussion sections.Different structures for papers in different fields may have caused these differences.Research limitations:There were three limitations to our research.Firstly,we observed that a small number of papers have been checked early. It is unknown who conducted the plagiarism check as this can be included in other evaluations, such as applications for Science and technology projects or awards. If the authors carried out the check, text with high similarity indices may have been excluded before submission, meaning the similarity index in our research may have been lower than the original value.Secondly, there were only four medical fields included in our research.Additional analysis on a wider scale is required in the future.Thirdly, only a general similarity index was calculated in our study;other similarity indices were not tested.Practical implications:A comprehensive analysis of similarity indices in four medical fields was performed. We made several recommendations for the supervision of medical academic misconduct and the formation of criteria for defining suspected plagiarism for medical papers,as well as for the improved accuracy of text duplication checks.Originality/value:We quantified the differences between the AMLC general similarity index and the corrected index, described the situation around text duplication and plagiarism in papers from four medical fields, and revealed differences in similarity indices between different article types. We also revealed differences in the sections containing duplication for papers with suspected plagiarism among different fields.

文摘The intrinsic chirp of high-order harmonic generation is an important factor limiting the production of ultrashort attosecond pulses.Based on numerically solving the time-dependent Schrodinger equation, the generation process of highorder harmonic from the He atom under the action of orthogonal two-color combined pulse of fundamental frequency and higher intensity second harmonic fields is studied. In this paper,we propose to achieve quasi-chirp-free isolated attosecond pulses by superimposing a higher second-harmonic field on the orthogonal direction of the fundamental frequency field. It is found that the high-energy part of its harmonic emission exhibits small chirp characteristics, which can be used to synthesize isolated attosecond pulses.Through the analysis of the wave packets evolution and the classical motion trajectories of the electron,it is demonstrated that the quasi-chirp-free harmonic can be attributed to the simultaneous return of electrons ionized at different times to the parent particle. The influence of the relative phase of the two pulses on the harmonics is further analyzed, and it is observed that this phenomenon is sensitive to the relative phase, but it can still generate isolated attosecond pulses within a certain phase.
文摘Using solar wind observation near PSP perihelions as constraints,we have investigated the parameters in various PFSS model methods. It is found that the interplanetary magnetic field extrapolation with source surface height R_(SS)=2 Rs is better than that with R_(SS)=2.5 Rs.HMI and GONG magnetograms show similar performances in the simulation of magnetic field variation, but the former appears to have a slight advantage in reconstruction of intensity while the latter is more adaptable to sparser grids. The finite-difference method of constructing eigenvalue problems for potential fields can achieve similar accuracy as the analytic method and greatly improve the computational efficiency.MHD modeling performs relatively less well in magnetic field prediction, but it is able to provide rich information about solar-terrestrial space.

文摘There are many factors affecting the chemical characteristics of groundwater in the forming process of groundwater chemical fields, such as freshening due to meteoric water leaching downwards, freshening due to mudstone compaction and water release, concentration due to infiltration and freshening due to dehydration of clay minerals. However, all these parameters increase in the direction of gravity-induced centripetal flows.
文摘Detailed mineralogy, bulk rock major, trace and Sr-Nd isotope compositions, and ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating of the Pipe-8 diamondiferous ultramafic intrusion in the Wajrakarur cluster of southern India,is reported.Based on the presence of Ti-rich phlogopite, high Na/K content in amphibole,Al-and Ti-rich diopside,a titanomagnetite trend in spinel and the presence of Ti-rich schorlomite garnet and carbonates in the groundmass, the Pipe-8 intrusion is here more precisely classified as an ultramafic lamprophyre(i.e.,aillikite).An aillikite affinity of the Pipe-8 intrusion is further supported by the bulk rock major and trace element and Sr-Nd isotope geochemistry.Sr-Nd isotope data are consistent with a common, moderately depleted upper mantle source region for both the Pipe-8 aillikite as well as the Wajrakarur kimberlites of southern India.A phlogopite-rich groundmass ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar plateau age of 1115.8±7.9 Ma(2σ) for the Pipe-8 intrusion falls within a restricted 100 Ma time bracket as defined by the 1053-1155 Ma emplacement ages of kimberlites and related rocks in India. The presence of ultramafic lamprophyres, carbonatites, kimberlites, and olivine lamproites in the Wajrakarur kimberlite field requires low degrees of partial melting of contrasting metasomatic assemblages in a heterogeneous sub-continental lithospheric mantle. The widespread association of kimberlite and other mantle-derived magmatism during the Mesoproterozoic(ca.1.1 Ga) have been interpreted as being part of a single large igneous province comprising of the Kalahari,Australian,West Laurentian and Indian blocks of the Rodinia supercontinent that were in existence during its assembly. In India only kimberlite/lamproite/ultramafic lamprophyre magmatism occurred at this time without the associated large igneous provinces as seen in other parts of Rodinia. This may be because of the separated paleo-latitudinal position of India from Australia during the assembly of Rodinia. It is speculated that the presence of a large plume at or close to 1.1 Ga within the Rodinian supercontinent, with the Indian block located on its periphery, could be the reason for incipient melting of lithospheric mantle and the consequent emplacement of only kimberlites and other ultramafic, volatile rich rocks in India due to comparatively low thermal effects from the distant plume.

文摘A novel sensor for ocean electric field testing has been fabricated by polyacrylonitrile-based on carbon fibers with electro-chemical oxidation. The surface profile characteristics of the carbon fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscope,Fourier transform infrared spectra and contact angle.Cyclic voltammetry and Tafel curves have been used to study its electro-chemical performances. Two identical electrodes in sea water as the electric field sensor will swiftly respond to applied electric field which causes positive and negative ions to move in opposite direction, resulting in a electric potential difference(ΔE).Test result indicates that the offset potential is typically below 1 m V with a drift of 60-170μVd^-1.Typical self noise level is 1.07 nV√Hz^(1/2)@1 Hz.The electric field response indicates that the modified electrode pair shows better response to AC sine signal of amplitude and frequency(5 mV and 1 mHz)respectively than its blank. The electric field response model of the modified electrodes is creatively presented according to its electric double layer capacitance and Faraday pseudo-capacitance.Many advantages of the carbon fiber electric field electrode will make it have potential application prospect.
文摘This paper reports a field survey undertaken to determine the availability of raw material for palm kernel oil commercial production for industrial applications. Both industrial and artisanal wastes from palm kernel oil production were also surveyed as raw material (palm kernel seeds) for green energy production. Results of the field study show that 22% of palm kernel seeds (which represents tons of waste) resulting from palm oil processing plants are dumped while at the artisanal level, 80% of palm kernel seed waste is dumped. Analysis of field study data show<span>s</span><span> that large amounts of waste palm kernel seeds are available to enable large scale production of palm kernel oil (PKO) for desirable industrial applications in green energy production. The paper also reports on the physical and chemical properties of Cameroon palm kernel oil (PKO). Palm kernel oil was extracted using mechanical press and solvent extraction. The palm kernel oil (PKO) from Cameroon was analyzed by standard physico-chemical methods. Results of the physical measurements show a specific gravity of PKO of 0.92 kg/L, viscosity of 26.03 cSt and at 5.93 cSt at 40<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>C and 100<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>C respectively, viscosity index of 185, pour point of 20<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>C, cloud point of 29<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>C, flash point of 200<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>C, aniline point of 105<span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:" font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#ffffff;"=""><span style="color:#4F4F4F;font-family:"font-size:14px;white-space:normal;background-color:#FFFFFF;">°</span></span>F, diesel index of 23, cetane number of 27 and ASTM (American Standards for Testing and Materials) color of less than 2.5. 文摘Biomass chemical looping gasification technology is one of the essential ways to utilize abundant biomass resources. At the same time, dimethyl carbonate can replace phosgene as an environmentfriendly organic material for the synthesis of polycarbonate. In this paper,a novel system coupling biomass chemical looping gasification with dimethyl carbonate synthesis with methanol as an intermediate is designed through microscopic mechanism analysis and process optimization.Firstly, reactive force field molecular dynamics simulation is performed to explore the reaction mechanism of biomass chemical looping gasification to determine the optimal gasification temperature range.Secondly,steady-state simulations of the process based on molecular dynamics simulation results are carried out to investigate the effects of temperature, steam to biomass ratio, and oxygen carrier to biomass ratio on the syngas yield and compositions. In addition, the main energy indicators of biomass chemical looping gasification process including lower heating value and cold gas efficiency are analyzed based on the above optimum parameters. Then, two synthesis stages are simulated and optimized with the following results obtained:the optimal temperature and pressure of methanol synthesis stage are 150℃ and 4 MPa;the optimal temperature and pressure of dimethyl carbonate synthesis stage are 140℃ and 0.3 MPa.Finally, the pre-separation-extraction-decantation process separates the mixture of dimethyl carbonate and methanol generated in the synthesis stage with 99.11%purity of dimethyl carbonate.Above results verify the feasibility of producing dimethyl carbonate from the perspective of multi-scale simulation and realize the multi-level utilization of biomass resources.

文摘Solid bitumens were found throughout the carbonate reservoirs in the Puguang gas field, the largest gas field so far found in marine carbonates in China, confirming that the Puguang gas field evolved from a paleo-oil reservoir. The post-accumulation processes, especially the organic-inorganic interaction in the hydrocarbon-water-rock system, had not only profoundly altered the composition and characteristics of the petroleum fluids, but also obviously changed the physicochemical conditions in the reservoir and resulted in complicated precipitation and solution of carbonate minerals.

文摘Tribological properties of 150SN mineral oil and lubricating oils containing triethanolamine borate(TBE)with and without electromagnetic field impact were evaluated on a modified four-ball tribo-tester.The characteristics of the worn surfaces were studied by scanning electronic microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Moreover, the tribological mechanisms are discussed from the viewpoint of physical effect and chemical effect. The results indicated that the friction coefficients and wear scar diameters(WSDs)lubricated by 150SN mineral oil under electromagnetic field were higher than those without electromagnetism impact. The WSDs of steel balls lubricated by TBE-doped oils under electromagnetic field were smaller than those obtained from non-electromagnetic field, but the friction coefficients were higher than those under non-electromagnetic field.A protective coating consists of wear particles could be formed on the frictional surface due to the physical effect of electromagnetic field on wear debris. The electromagnetic field could facilitate the interaction of elemental boron and nitrogen in TBE with metal interfaces, and contributes to forming tribo-chemical reaction film to reduce friction and wear.
文摘This paper reported that the nano-catkin carbon films were prepared on Si substrates by means of electron cyclotron resonance microwave plasma chemical vapour deposition in a hydrogen and methane mixture. The mechanism that the threshold field decreased with the increase of the CH4 concentration and the high emission current appeared at the high CH4 concentration was explained by using the Fowler-Nordheim theory.

文摘Wastewater after chemical flooding is difficult to be treated by biological methods due to the residual chemicals in the wastewater. After Fenton oxidation combining with biodegradation, the total CODc, removal efficiency was up to 90%, and polymer and oil degrading efficiencies were 95% and 92% respectively.

文摘In this paper,we report the effect of nitrogen on the deposition and properties of boron doped diamond films synthesized by hot filament chemical vapor deposition. The diamond films consisting of micro-grains(nano-grains) were realized with low(high) boron source flow rate during the growth processes. The transition of micro-grains to nano-grains is speculated to be strongly(weekly) related with the boron(nitrogen) flow rate. The grain size and Raman spectral feature vary insignificantly as a function of the nitrogen introduction at a certain boron flow rate. The variation of electron field emission characteristics dependent on nitrogen is different between microcrystalline and nanocrystalline boron doped diamond samples, which are related to the combined phase composition, boron doping level and texture structure. There is an optimum nitrogen proportion to improve the field emission properties of the boron-doped films.

文摘A convenient fabrication technique for samarium hexaboride(SmB6) nanostructures(nanowires and nanopencils) is developed, combining magnetron-sputtering and chemical vapor deposition. All the research results suggest that the SmB6 nanostructures would have a more promising future in the FE area if their surface oxide layer was eliminated in advance.
文摘Hydrogenated amorphous carbon nitride (a-CNx:H) films were formed on p-Si, Al films deposited on n-Si (Al/n-Si) and glass (SiO2) (Al/glass) substrates, using pulsed rf supermagnetron plasma chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with N2/i-C4H10 mixed gases. The rf powers (13.56 MHz) of both the upper and lower electrodes were modulated by a 2.5-kHz pulse at a duty ratio of 12.5%. N2 gas concentration was controlled at 70%. The optical band gap of a-CNx:H films was about 0.75 eV. The a-CNx:H films deposited on substrates of p-Si, Al/n-Si and Al/glass showed low threshold emission electric fields (ETH) of 10, 13 and 12 V/μm, respectively. The a-CNx:H film deposited on low-cost Al film (Al/glass) showed a sufficiently low ETH of 12 V/μm, eliminating the need for high-cost p-Si substrates.
