Design is a concept of either an object,a process,or a system that is specific and,in most cases, detailed.A service design is designing or organizing the experience around a product and the service associated with a product’s use.For this purpose, service design uses methods and tools derived from different disciplines like information and management science. The second level of management science is about building models and implementing models on computers. The paper presents the second stage of project“Service management for IoT in streetlighting”.From several points of view a review of streetlighting management is performed:(1)design and spending;(2)network element management;(3)network management;(4)new technologies in smart streetlighting. The authors synthesize main objects classes for service management and specialized managed objects classes for two areas-Service Provision and Officer control. The used design methodology is unified modelling language(UML)and particularly class diagrams. The models are intended for business developers, university professors, and students. 展开更多

The large global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has seriously endangered the health care system in China and globally. The sudden surge of patients with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection has revealed the shortage of critical care medicine resources and intensivists.Currently, the management of non-critically ill patients with COVID-19 is performed mostly by non-intensive care unit(ICU)physicians, who lack the required professional knowledge, training, and practice in critical care medicine, especially in terms of continuous monitoring of the respiratory function, intervention, and feedback on treatment effects. This clinical problem needs an urgent solution. Therefore, here,we propose a series of clinical strategies for non-ICU physicians aimed at the standardization of the management of non-critically ill patients with COVID-19 from the perspective of critical care medicine.Isolation management is performed to facilitate the implementation of hierarchical monitoring and intervention to ensure the reasonable distribution of scarce critical care medical resources and intensivists, highlight the key patients, timely detection of disease progression, and early and appropriate intervention and organ function support, and thus improve the prognosis.Different management objectives are also set based on the high-risk factors and the severity of patients with COVID-19.The approaches suggested herein will facilitate the timely detection of disease progression, and thus ensure the provision of early and appropriate intervention and organ function support, which will eventually improve the prognosis. 展开更多

As CAD/CAM becomes more and more popular, efficiently managing large amounts of engineering data becomes essential for improving design efficiency and quality. This paper analyses five basic features of product data management and combines them with real industrial examples. Then, an object oriented product data management model is presented. To carry out the model, the paper presents the architecture of the Cax information management and integration system (Cax IMIS), and focuses on its core technology, implementation of an object management framework, and discusses the process of realizing the inherent attributes, relations, and messages between objects using the object dictionary and storing detail information about the persistent objects in relation database management system (RDBMS). The method provides an effective object management framework for Cax IMIS. 展开更多

Many garbage collection algorithms have been proposed, but few address the special needs of long-running server programs. Server applications usually run for years and spawn many threads, so they create and discard thousands of objects. Therefore, efficient garbage collection is especially important for those applications. This paper presents a class-based garbage collector for object-oriented programming environments that classifies objects by their types to achieve better gradualness. Grouping objects of the same type into a group, with a limited type-lock, a mutator cache and the lease protocol will reduce memory fragmentation, which is especially important for the efficiency of long-running server applications. This class-based collector partitions the heap space by type, which provides better concurrency than the traditional mark-sweep collector, and its reusable garbaged object pool also reduces the object allocation overhead. This paper also discusses the implementation details, such as the mutator cache and the lease protocol, and techniques to achieve better accuracy. 展开更多
