Map building by multi-robot is very important to accomplish autonomous navigation,and one of the basic problems and research hotspots is how to merge the maps into a single one in the field of multi-robot map building...Map building by multi-robot is very important to accomplish autonomous navigation,and one of the basic problems and research hotspots is how to merge the maps into a single one in the field of multi-robot map building.A novel approach is put forward based on adaptive differential evolution to map building for the multi-robot system.The multi-robot mapping-building system adopts the methods of decentralized exploration and concentrated mapping.The adaptive differential evolution algorithm is used to search in the space of possible transformation,and the iterative search is performed with the goal of maximizing overlapping regions.The map is translated and rotated so that the two maps can be overlapped and merged into a single global one successfully.This approach for map building can be realized without any knowledge of their relative positions.Experimental results show that the approach is effective and feasibile.展开更多

A new synchronization scheme for chaotic(hyperchaotic) maps with different dimensions is presented.Specifically,given a drive system map with dimension n and a response system with dimension m,the proposed approach ...A new synchronization scheme for chaotic(hyperchaotic) maps with different dimensions is presented.Specifically,given a drive system map with dimension n and a response system with dimension m,the proposed approach enables each drive system state to be synchronized with a linear response combination of the response system states.The method,based on the Lyapunov stability theory and the pole placement technique,presents some useful features:(i) it enables synchronization to be achieved for both cases of n 〈 m and n 〉 m;(ii) it is rigorous,being based on theorems;(iii) it can be readily applied to any chaotic(hyperchaotic) maps defined to date.Finally,the capability of the approach is illustrated by synchronization examples between the two-dimensional H′enon map(as the drive system) and the three-dimensional hyperchaotic Wang map(as the response system),and the three-dimensional H′enon-like map(as the drive system) and the two-dimensional Lorenz discrete-time system(as the response system).展开更多

The method is based on spherical harmonic decomposition, and can be applied to a cylindrical array as well as dish arrays and we can compute the instrument response, synthesized beam, transfer func- tion and noise power spectrum. We consider cylinder arrays with feed spacing larger than half a wavelength and, as expected, we find that the arrays with regular spacing have grating lobes which produce spurious images in the reconstructed maps. We show that this problem can be overcome using arrays with a different feed spacing on each cylinder. We present the reconstructed maps, and study the performance in terms of noise power spectrum, transfer function and beams for both regular and irregular feed spacing configura- tions.展开更多
