Market Analysis of Typical Products in Italy: Bivariate Statistical Relationships Between Qualitative Variables

The denominations of origin being perceived by the consumers in terms of both intrinsic qualities and of extrinsic qualities, have contributed in no uncertain manner to the increase of the typical products in question, positively influenced also by the noted emergencies coming from verified alimentary alarms during the beginning of the XXI century. The objective of this paper, is to determine the habits of purchase of typical and traditional products of the people of Messina (Sicily, Italy). To do this a "motivational" survey was carried out by traditional methodology of descriptive researches. The adopted methodology of research was quantitative and random. The random research strives to identify the factors that depend on the behaviour of purchase and the appraisal of the existing relationships of cause-effect in a determined population. The interviewed were given a questionnaire composed of 17 questions on their knowledge of the typical products characteristics, the frequency of consumption, the monthly amounts destined to the purchase, the motivations that push them to the purchase of typical products rather than pre-packed. Methodologically, our statistical analysis has been performed using the log-likelihood ratio test in order to investigate the existence of association between the joint distributions of qualitative measured variables. 展开更多

We present a multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis (MFDFA) of the time series of return generated by our recently-proposed Ising financial market model with underlying small world topology. The result of the MFDFA shows that there exists obvious multifractal scaling behavior in produced time series. We compare the MFDFA results for original time series with those for shuffled series, and find that its multifractal nature is due to two factors: broadness of probability density function of the series and different correlations in small- and large-scale fluctuations. This may provide new insight to the problem of the origin of multifractality in financial time series. 展开更多

It considers existing tools and models and their applications in various sectors. The advantage is that the statistical data could be combined with geographic views, maps and also additional data derived from the GIS. As a result, a programming system is developed, using GIS for analysis of marketing, statistical, macroeconomic data, and risk assessment in real time and prevention. The system has been successfully implemented as web-based software application designed for use with a variety of hardware platforms (mobile devices, laptops, and desktop computers). The software is mainly written in the programming language Python, which offers a better structure and supports for the development of large applications. Optimization of the analysis, visualization of macroeconomic, and statistical data by region for different business research are achieved. The system is designed with Geographical Information System for settlements in their respective countries and regions. Information system integration with external software packages for statistical calculations and analysis is implemented in order to share data analyzing, processing, and forecasting. Technologies and processes for loading data from different sources and tools for data analysis are developed. In this paper, the authors proposed a method to analyze trait of users in market areas near stations by analyzing location based social network. After the datum collection from geotagged tweets, these GPS (global positioning system) datum were plotted to map attained from yahoo open location platform. Then the morphological analysis and terminology extraction system extracted the keywords and their scores. After calculating the distance from stations and users' GPS coordination, the authors extracted the array of keywords and corresponding scores in some station market area. Lastly, ratios of all users' scores and city's scores were calculated to examine the locality. Full combination of data collection, natural language processing and visualization enabled the authors to envisage distribution of collective background in city. 展开更多
