A genetic algorithm based on agent and individual dens...The uniform and extension distribution of the optimal solution are very important criterion for the quality evaluation of the multi-objective programming problem. A genetic algorithm based on agent and individual density is used to solve the multi-objective optimization problem. In the selection process, each agent is selected according to the individual density distance in its neighborhood, and the crossover operator adopts the simulated binary crossover method. The self-learning behavior only applies to the individuals with the highest energy in current population. A few classical multi-objective function optimization examples were used tested and two evaluation indexes U-measure and S-measure are used to test the performance of the algorithm. The experimental results show that the algorithm can obtain uniformity and widespread distribution Pareto solutions.展开更多

Since the metho...Certain distributions do not have a closed-form density, but it is simple to draw samples from them. For such distributions, simulated minimum Hellinger distance (SMHD) estimation appears to be useful. Since the method is distance-based, it happens to be naturally robust. This paper is a follow-up to a previous paper where the SMHD estimators were only shown to be consistent;this paper establishes their asymptotic normality. For any parametric family of distributions for which all positive integer moments exist, asymptotic properties for the SMHD method indicate that the variance of the SMHD estimators attains the lower bound for simulation-based estimators, which is based on the inverse of the Fisher information matrix, adjusted by a constant that reflects the loss of efficiency due to simulations. All these features suggest that the SMHD method is applicable in many fields such as finance or actuarial science where we often encounter distributions without closed-form density.展开更多
A leukocyte image fast scanning method based on max min distance clustering is proposed.Because of the lower proportion and uneven distribution of leukocytes in human peripheral blood,there will not be any leukocyte i...A leukocyte image fast scanning method based on max min distance clustering is proposed.Because of the lower proportion and uneven distribution of leukocytes in human peripheral blood,there will not be any leukocyte in lager quantity of the captured images if we directly scan the blood smear along an ordinary zigzag scanning routine with high power(100^(x))objective.Due to the larger field of view of low power(10^(x))objective,the captured low power blood smear images can be used to locate leukocytes.All of the located positions make up a specific routine,if we scan the blood smear along this routine with high power objective,there will be definitely leukocytes in almost all of the captured images.Considering the number of captured images is still large and some leukocytes may be redundantly captured twice or more,a leukocyte clustering method based on max-min distance clustering is developed to reduce the total number of captured images as well as the number of redundantly captured leukocytes.This method can improve the scanning eficiency obviously.The experimental results show that the proposed method can shorten scanning time from 8.0-14.0min to 2.54.0 min while extracting 110 nonredundant individual high power leukocyte images.展开更多
The study of the entrance and wall dynamics of a high-flux gas-solid riser was conducted using trajectory distances of the reconstructed attractors from solid concentration signals collected from a 76 mm internal diam...The study of the entrance and wall dynamics of a high-flux gas-solid riser was conducted using trajectory distances of the reconstructed attractors from solid concentration signals collected from a 76 mm internal diameters and 10 m high riser of a circulating fluidized bed (CFB) system. The riser was operated at 4.0 to 10.0 m/s gas velocity and 50 to 550 kg/m2s solids flux. Spent fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalyst particles with 67 μm mean diameter and density of 1500 kg/m3 together with 70% to 80% humid air was used. Solid concentration data were analyzed using codes prepared in FORTRAN 2008 to get trajectories of the reconstructed attractors and their distances apart. Trajectory distances were found to increase from the centre towards the wall indicating the expansion of the attractor. The probability density function (PDF) of the trajectory distances changes from single peak at the centre to multiple peaked profiles in the wall region. Multiple peaked profiles indicate multifractal flow behaviours. Cumulative distribution functions (CDF) of the trajectory distances changes from single S-shaped at the centre to multiple S-shaped profiles in some locations of the wall region indicating multifractal flow behaviours. The PDF distribution of these distances at the entrance section and in the wall region forms different types of statistical distributions showing differences in gas-solid flow structures in various spatial locations of the wall region and the entrance sections. Most of the distributions at the centre fall under the Gumbel max distribution for all flow development sections of the riser, especially at air velocities of 5.5 m/s and 8 m/s showing uniform flow structures. Further, it was found that increase of the number of the phase space reconstruction embedding dimension increases the trajectory distances between the state vectors leading to the expansion of the attractor.展开更多

Secure multi-party computation plays an important role in privacy-preserving. Secure multi-party computational geometry is a new field of secure multi-party computation. In this paper, we devote to investigating the solutions to some secure geometric problems in a cooperative environment. The problem is collaboratively computing the Euclid-distance between two private vectors without disclosing the private input to each other. A general privacy-preserving Euclid-distance protocol is firstly presented as a building block and is proved to be secure and efficient in the comparison with the previous methods. And we proposed a new protocol for the application in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), based on the novel Euclid-distance protocol and Density-Based Clustering Protocol (DBCP), so that the nodes from two sides can compute cooperatively to divide them into clusters without disclosing their location information to the opposite side.展开更多
