The design of a new adaptive version of the multiple dependent state(AMDS)sampling plan is presented based on the time truncated life test under the Weibull distribution.We achieved the proposed sampling plan by apply...The design of a new adaptive version of the multiple dependent state(AMDS)sampling plan is presented based on the time truncated life test under the Weibull distribution.We achieved the proposed sampling plan by applying the concept of the double sampling plan and existing multiple dependent state sampling plans.A warning sign for acceptance number was proposed to increase the probability of current lot acceptance.The optimal plan parameters were determined simultaneously with nonlinear optimization problems under the producer’s risk and consumer’s risk.A simulation study was presented to support the proposed sampling plan.A comparison between the proposed and existing sampling plans,namely multiple dependent state(MDS)sampling plans and a modified multiple dependent state(MMDS)sampling plan,was considered under the average sampling number and operating characteristic curve values.In addition,the use of two real datasets demonstrated the practicality and usefulness of the proposed sampling plan.The results indicated that the proposed plan is more flexible and efficient in terms of the average sample number compared to the existing MDS and MMDS sampling plans.展开更多
In epidemiological and clinical studies,the restricted mean lifetime is often of direct interest quantity.The differences of this quantity can be used as a basis of comparing several treatment groups with respect to t...In epidemiological and clinical studies,the restricted mean lifetime is often of direct interest quantity.The differences of this quantity can be used as a basis of comparing several treatment groups with respect to their survival times.When the factor of interest is not randomized and lifetimes are subject to both dependent and independent censoring,the imbalances in confounding factors need to be accounted.We use the mixture of additive hazards model and inverse probability of censoring weighting method to estimate the differences of restricted mean lifetime.The average causal effect is then obtained by averaging the differences in fitted values based on the additive hazards models.The asymptotic properties of the proposed method are also derived and simulation studies are conducted to demonstrate their finite-sample performance.An application to the primary biliary cirrhosis(PBC)data is illustrated.展开更多

The branching ratios of such γ-transitions are used to calculate the total gamma widths. Besides, the transition strengths and probabilities have been calculated for γ-transitions from excited states whose life times have been reported previously. However, most of them are focused on MLE, BLUE etc; little work has bee...In reliability theory and survival analysis, the problem of point estimation based on the censored sample has been discussed in many literatures. However, most of them are focused on MLE, BLUE etc; little work has been done on the moment-method estimation in censoring case. To make the method of moment estimation systematic and unifiable, in this paper, the moment-method estimators(abbr. MEs) and modified momentmethod estimators(abbr. MMEs) of the parameters based on type Ⅰ and type Ⅱ censored samples are put forward involving mean residual lifetime. The strong consistency and other properties are proved. To be worth mentioning, in the exponential distribution,the proposed moment-method estimators are exactly MLEs. By a simulation study, in the view point of bias and mean square of error, we show that the MEs and MMEs are better than MLEs and the “pseudo complete sample” technique introduced in Whitten et al.(1988). And the superiority of the MEs is especially conspicuous, when the sample is heavily censored.展开更多
Improving the performance of generation,transport and injection of hot carriers within metal/semiconductor junctions is critical for promoting the hot-carrier applications.However,the conversion efficiency of hot carr...Improving the performance of generation,transport and injection of hot carriers within metal/semiconductor junctions is critical for promoting the hot-carrier applications.However,the conversion efficiency of hot carriers in the commonly used noble metals(e.g.,Au)is extremely low.Herein,through a systematic study by first-principles calculation and Monte Carlo simulation,we show that TiN might be a promising plasmonic material for high-efficiency hot-carrier applications.Compared with Au,TiN shows obvious advantages in the generation(high density of low-energy hot electrons)and transport(long lifetime and mean free path)of hot carriers.We further performed a device-oriented study,which reveals that high hotcarrier injection efficiency can be achieved in core/shell cylindrical TiN/TiO_(2)junctions.Our findings provide a deep insight into the intrinsic processes of hot-carrier generation,transport and injection,which is helpful for the development of hot-carrier devices and applications.展开更多
