In order to solve the bad low frequency sound absorption of the Micro-Perforated panel (MPP) absorber, mechanical impedance was introduced in the back of the MPP absorber to form a composite structure. According to the same particle vibration velocity on both sides of a plate, the mechanical impedance plate transfer matrix could be obtained. The units of the mechanical impedance, cavity and MPP were connected in series with the use of the transfer matrix method, thus creating the composite structure's theoretical calculation model. The qual- ity factor affecting absorption bandwidth was analyzed. Bandwidth is inversely proportional to the mechanical impedance plate mass. During the experiments, when at close to 400 Hz, the composite structure reached an absorption peak with a coefficient of above 0.8. Experimen- tal results concurred with theoretical calculations. Mechanical resonance is added based on the traditional MPP resonance sound absorption mechanism. Through this, the performance of low frequency sound absorption can be improved without increasing the thickness of the structure. The frequency band can be broadened by reducing the mechanical impedance plate mass and controlling its boundary-damping coefficient. 展开更多

The Effects of Farmyard Manure and Mulch on Soil Physical Properties in a Reclaimed Coastal Tidal Flat Salt-Affected Soil 被引量:18

Careful soil management is important for the soil quality and productivity improvement of the reclaimed coastal tidal flat saline land in northern Jiangsu Province, China. Farmyard manure( FYM) and mulch applications, which affect soil characteristics and plant significantly, are regard as an effective pattern of saline land improvement. As a conventional management in the study region, FYM and mulch are used for the amendment of the new reclaimed tidal flat regularly, but little is known about their effects on soil physical properties functioning. A study was conducted on a typical coastal tidal flat saline land, which was reclaimed in 2005, to evaluate the effects of FYM, polyethylene film mulch(PM), straw mulch(SM), FYM combined with PM(FYM+PM), FYM combined with SM(FYM+SM), on soil hydraulic properties and soil mechanical impedance. CK represented conventional cultivation in study area without FYM and mulch application and served as a control. The experiment, laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications, was studied in Huanghaiyuan Farm, which specialized in the agricultural utilization for coastal tidal flat. Result showed that capillary water holding capacity(CHC), saturated water content(SWC), saturated hydraulic conductivity( Ks) and bulk density(BD), cone index(CI) were affected significantly by the FYM and mulch application, especially in the 0-10 cm soil layer. FYM and mulch management increased CHC, SWC and Ks over all soil depth in the order of FYM+SM〉FYM+PM〉FYM〉SM〉PM〉CK. With the contrary sequence, BD and CI decreased significantly; however, FYM and mulch application affected BD and CI only in the upper soil layers. CHC, SWC and Ks decreased significantly with the increasing of soil depth, BD and CI, and a significant liner equation was found between CHC, SWC, Ks and BD, CI. With the highest CHC(38.15%), SWC(39.55%), Ks(6.00 mm h-1) and the lowest BD(1.26 g cm-3) and CI(2.71 MPa), the combined management of FYM and SM was recommend to be an effective method for the melioration of reclaimed coastal tidal flat saline soil. 展开更多

To consider the head is a flexible multi-layer structure and the contact-impact is flexible, the Hertz Contact Law is unsuitable for analyzing the dynamic response of human head impacts elastic plane with initial speed. In this paper, the process of head impacting with elastic plane is modeled as a response of vibrant system, and methods like mechanical network figure and mechanical impedance is taken to resolve this dynamic response problem. Based on the actual head structure, head is modeled as a vibrant model, which concludes the masses of scalp and bone in the impact area, the masses in the other part of the head and the brain, the stiffness of the head, and the damp coefficient of the scalp and brain. At the same time, the elastic plane is simplified as a vibrant model including mass, stiffness and damp. These two vibrant models are linked into one vibrant systematic model. In order to calculate the elastic deformation and the impact acceleration of the head, the models are transformed into mechanical girding figure at violent vibration point. The dynamic impact force of the system, the impact acceleration of the head, the elastic deformation of the plane and the fixed frequency of the system can be worked out by calculating the velocity impedance at the violent vibration point when the initial impact speed is known. The results fit the test data well, which proves that this method is available for the analysis of the dynamic response of the system under impact. 展开更多

To enhance the microwave absorption performance of silicon carbide nanowires(SiCNWs), SiO_2 nanoshells with a thickness of approximately 2 nm and Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles were grown on the surface of SiCNWs to form SiC@SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 hybrids. The microwave absorption performance of the SiC@SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 hybrids with different thicknesses was investigated in the frequency range from 2 to 18 GHz using a free-space antenna-based system. The results indicate that SiC@SiO_2@Fe_3O_4 hybrids exhibit improved microwave absorption. In particular, in the case of an SiC@SiO_2 to iron(III) acetylacetonate mass ratio of 1:3, the microwave absorption with an absorber of 2-mm thickness exhibited a minimum reflection loss of-39.58 d B at 12.24 GHz. With respect to the enhanced microwave absorption mechanism, the Fe_3O_4 nanoparticles coated on SiC@SiO_2 nanowires are proposed to balance the permeability and permittivity of the materials, contributing to the microwave attenuation. 展开更多

The application of electrified railway directly promotes relevant studies on pantograph-catenary interac- tion. With the increase of train running speed, the operating conditions for pantograph and catenary have become increasingly complex. This paper reviews the related achievements contributed by groups and institutions around the world. This article specifically focuses on three aspects: The dynamic characteristics of the panto- graph and catenary components, the systems' dynamic properties, and the environmental influences on the pantograph-catenary interaction. In accordance with the existing studies, future research may prioritize the task of identifying the mechanism of contact force variation. This kind of study can be carried out by simplifying the pantograph-catenary interaction into a moving load problem and utilizing the theory of matching mechanical impedance. In addition, developing a computational platform that accommodates environmental interferences and multi-field coupling effects is necessary in order to further explore applications based on fundamental studies. 展开更多

Investigation of the vertical vibration characteristics of the seated human body is beneficial for the design and development of vehicle ride comfort.In this study,we first established models of the seated human body with two,three and four degrees of freedom(DOF).Then,the vibration characteristics of 30 volunteers were tested under standard conditions with a vibration test rig to obtain data for the apparent mass,driving point mechanical impedance,and seat-to-head transfer function.Based on the experimental data,the parameters of these models are identified and the results show that the four-DOF model can simulate the vertical vibration characteristics of the seated human body more comprehensively.Then,different seated human body models were applied to optimize the damping of shock absorber.The results show that the optimized damping with the four-DOF Chinese seated human body model is 27%more than that with rigid mass and 7%less than that with ISO 5982:2001 seated human body model. 展开更多
