Changes in m^(6)A modification levels and the expression levels of related enzymatic proteins can lead to neurological dysfunction and contribute to the development of neurological diseases. Furthermore, the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells, as well as nerve regeneration, are intimately linked to memory function and neurodegenerative diseases. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, as well as its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases. m^(6)A has demonstrated divergent effects on the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells. These observed contradictions may arise from the time-specific nature of m^(6)A and its differential impact on neural stem cells across various stages of development. Similarly, the diverse effects of m^(6)A on distinct types of memory could be attributed to the involvement of specific brain regions in memory formation and recall. Inconsistencies in m^(6)A levels across different models of neurodegenerative disease, particularly Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease, suggest that these disparities are linked to variations in the affected brain regions. Notably, the opposing changes in m^(6)A levels observed in Parkinson's disease models exposed to manganese compared to normal Parkinson's disease models further underscore the complexity of m^(6)A's role in neurodegenerative processes. The roles of m^(6)A in neural stem cell proliferation, differentiation, and self-renewal, and its implications in memory and neurodegenerative diseases, appear contradictory. These inconsistencies may be attributed to the timespecific nature of m^(6)A and its varying effects on distinct brain regions and in different environments.展开更多

The lateral distribution of injected charges can be measured precisely using the charge pumping method. To improve the precision of the actual measurement, a combination of a constant low voltage method and a constant high voltage method is introduced during the charge pumping testing of the drain side and the source side, respectively. Finally, the electron distribution after channel hot electron programming in SONOS memory is obtained, which is close to the drain side with a width of about 50nm.展开更多

By contrast, unstructured-grid-based methods can model complex underground structures with high accuracy and overcome the defects of traditional methods, such as the high computational cost for improving model accuracy and the difficulty of inverting with topography. In this paper, we used the limited-memory quasi-Newton(L-BFGS) method with an unstructured finite-element grid to perform 3D MT inversions. This method avoids explicitly calculating Hessian matrices, which greatly reduces the memory requirements. After the first iteration, the approximate inverse Hessian matrix well approximates the true one, and the Newton step(set to 1) can meet the sufficient descent condition. Only one calculation of the objective function and its gradient are needed for each iteration, which greatly improves its computational efficiency. This approach is well-suited for large-scale 3D MT inversions. We have tested our algorithm on data with and without topography, and the results matched the real models well. We can recommend performing inversions based on an unstructured finite-element method and the L-BFGS method for situations with topography and complex underground structures.展开更多

The Ti foil serves as the supply of Ti atoms for growth of the TiO_2 nanowires, making the preparation straightforward. It also acts as a bottom electrode for the device. A top Al electrode was fabricated by e-beam evaporation process. The Al/TiO_2 nanowire networks/Ti device fabricated in this way displayed a highly repeatable and electroforming-free bipolar resistive behavior with retention for more than 10~4 s and an OFF/ON ratio of approximately 70. The switching mechanism of this Al/TiO_2 nanowire networks/Ti device is suggested to arise from the migration of oxygen vacancies under applied electric field. This provides a facile way to obtain metal oxide nanowire-based Re RAM device in the future.展开更多

The training method of cooling with load can induce a lot of martensite prone to stabilize, thus cause large residual deformation, wide hysteresis and small TWME. Training with constant load can produce STWME larger than 8% with the least residual deformation. By training procedure of martensite reorientation below M f followed by thermal cycling, the TWME is relatively large with very small residual deformation and with comparatively narrow hysteresis of two way memory. The obtained two way memory curve after such training is not a closed loop, and the obtained TWME is not stable. However, these can be improved by thermal cycling. Training with martensite reorientation below M f and thermal cycling under relatively low constant stress throughout the whole training procedure is the optimum way of obtaining TWME, and more than 1.7% TWME can be obtained. The thermomechanical history of the sample has a pronounced effect on the training result. Thermomechanical cycling has a softening effect on martensite. [展开更多

Plates of superelastic nickel-titanium shape memory allay ( NiTi ) were coated with calcium phosphates ( hydroxyapatite ) by high-temperature plasma-spraying or by dip-coating. The biocompatibility was tested in vitro by cultivation of isolated human granulocytes and whole blood cells. As substrates, pure NiTi, plasma-spray-coated NiTi and dip-coated NiTi were used. Isolated granulocytes showed an increased adhesion to both calcium phosphate-coated NiTi samples. Compared to non-coated NiTi or dip-coated NiTi, the number of dead granulocytes adherent to plasma-sprayed surfaces was significantly increased ( p 〈 0.01 ). Whether the d/f- ferences in apoptosis of granulocytes on dip-coated vs plasma-sprayed coatings observed are due to differences in material surface morphologies has to be analyzed in further studies. Because of the cellular interactions with the coating layers, h is likely that the results obtained are not caused by the underlying NiTi but due to the coating itself.展开更多

Numerical results show that the new algorithm is efficient.
文摘In silicon-oxide-nitride-oxide-silicon (SONOS) memory and other charge trapping memories, the charge distribution after programming operation has great impact on the devic's characteristics, such as reading,programming/erasing, and reliability. The lateral distribution of injected charges can be measured precisely using the charge pumping method. To improve the precision of the actual measurement, a combination of a constant low voltage method and a constant high voltage method is introduced during the charge pumping testing of the drain side and the source side, respectively. Finally, the electron distribution after channel hot electron programming in SONOS memory is obtained, which is close to the drain side with a width of about 50nm.

文摘To confirm whether Magnetic Memory Method can be used to evaluate the fatigue damage of ferromagnetic part or not, this paper stated the principle of magnetic memory method. Also, the relationship between testing parameter of magnetic memory method and fatigue damage was analyzed based on the experiment. The results show that magnetic memory method can be used to evaluate the fatigue damage represented by stress concentration. However, the relationship between the parameter of magnetic memory method and fatigue damage still needs to be studied.

文摘Traditional 3D Magnetotelluric(MT) forward modeling and inversions are mostly based on structured meshes that have limited accuracy when modeling undulating surfaces and arbitrary structures. We can recommend performing inversions based on an unstructured finite-element method and the L-BFGS method for situations with topography and complex underground structures.

文摘In order to present the microstructures of dynamic recrystallization(DRX) in different deformation zones of hot extruded NiTi shape memory alloy(SMA) pipe coupling,a simulation approach combining finite element method(FEM) with cellular automaton(CA) was developed and the relationship between the macroscopic field variables and the microscopic internal variables was established. The results show that there exists a great distinction among the microstructures in different zones of pipe coupling because deformation histories of these regions are diverse.Large plastic deformation may result in fine recrystallized grains, whereas the recrystallized grains may grow very substantially if there is a rigid translation during the deformation, even if the final plastic strain is very large. As a consequence, the deformation history has a significant influence on the evolution path of the DRX as well as the final microstructures of the DRX,including the morphology, the mean grain size and the recrystallization fraction.

文摘Grain scale plasticity of NiTi shape memory alloy(SMA)during uniaxial compression deformation at 400℃was investigated through two-dimensional crystal plasticity finite element simulation and corresponding analysis based on the obtained orientation data.Stress and strain distributions of the deformed NiTi SMA samples confirm that there exhibits a heterogeneous plastic deformation at grain scale.Statistically stored dislocation(SSD)density and geometrically necessary dislocation(GND)density were further used in order to illuminate the microstructure evolution during uniaxial compression.SSD is responsible for sustaining plastic deformation and it increases along with the increase of plastic strain.GND plays an important role in accommodating compatible deformation between individual grains and thus it is correlated with the misorientation between neighboring grains, namely,a high GND density corresponds to large misorientation between grains and a low GND density corresponds to small misorientation between grains.

文摘The resistive switching characteristics of TiO_2 nanowire networks directly grown on Ti foil by a single-step hydrothermal technique are discussed in this paper. This provides a facile way to obtain metal oxide nanowire-based Re RAM device in the future.
文摘Various training methods for two way memory effect (TWME) and stressed two way memory effect (STWME) were tried on Cu 13.4Al 4.0Ni (mass fraction, %) single crystals by applying tensile stress along 〈001〉 direction of β phase. [

文摘It is significant to numerically investigate thermo-mechanical behaviors of shape memory alloy(SMA)structures undergoing large and uneven deformation for they are used in many engineering fields to meet special requirements To solve the problems of convergence in the numerical simulation on thermo-mechanical behaviors of SMA structures by universal finite element software. This work suppose a finite element method to simulate the super-elasticity and shape memory effect in the SMA structure undergoing large and uneven deformation. Two scalars, named by phase-transition modulus and equivalent stiffness, are defined to make it easy to establish and implement the finite element method for a SMA structure. An incremental constitutive equation is developed to formulate the relationship of stress, strain and temperature in a SMA material based on phase-transition modulus and equivalent stiffness.A phase-transition modulus equation is derived to describe the relationship of phase-transition modulus, stress and temperature in a SMA material during the processes of martensitic phase transition and martensitic inverse phase transition.A finite element equation is established to express the incremental relationship of nodal displacement, external force and temperature change in a finite element discrete structure of SMA.The incremental constitutive equation,phase-transition modulus equation and finite element equation compose the supposed finite element method which simulate the thermo-mechanical behaviors of a SMA structure. Two SMA structures, which undergo large and uneven deformation, are numerically simulated by the supposed finite element method. Results of numerical simulation show that the supposed finite element method can effectively simulate the super-elasticity and shape memory effect of a SMA structure undergoing large and uneven deformation, and is suitable to act as an effective computational tool for the wide applications based on the SMA materials.

文摘The healthy condition of the milling tool has a very high impact on the machining quality of the titanium components. Therefore,it is important to recognize the healthy condition of the tool and replace the damaged cutter at the right time.In order to recognize the health condition of the milling cutter,a method based on the long short term memory(LSTM)was proposed to recognize tool health state in this paper. The various signals collected in the tool wear experiments were analyzed by time-domain statistics, and then the extracted data were generated by principal component analysis(PCA)method. The preprocessed data extracted by PCA is transmitted to the LSTM model for recognition.Compared with back propagation neural network(BPNN)and support vector machine(SVM),the proposed method can effectively utilize the time-domain regulation in the data to achieve higher recognition speed and accuracy.
文摘The influence of different surface coatings of NiTi shape memory allays was examined using in vitro testing methods. Because of the cellular interactions with the coating layers, h is likely that the results obtained are not caused by the underlying NiTi but due to the coating itself.
