Existence of Monotone Positive Solution for a Fourth-Order Three-Point BVP with Sign-Changing Green’s Function

This paper is concerned with the following fourth-order three-point boundary value problem , where , we discuss the existence of positive solutions to the above problem by applying to the fixed point theory in cones and iterative technique.

GLOBAL EXISTENCE AND POINTWISE ESTIMATES OF SOLUTIONS TO GENERALIZED KURAMOTO-SIVASHINSKY SYSTEM IN MULTI-DIMENSIONS

The Cauchy problem of the generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation in multidimensions(n ≥ 3) is considered. Based on Green's function method, some ingenious energy estimates are given. Then the global existence and pointwise convergence rates of the classical solutions are established. Furthermore, the L^p convergence rate of the solution is obtained.

GLOBAL EXISTENCE AND L^p ESTIMATES FOR SOLUTIONS OF DAMPED WAVE EQUATION WITH NONLINEAR CONVECTION IN MULTI-DIMENSIONAL SPACE

In this article, the author studies the Cauchy problem of the damped wave equation with a nonlinear convection term in multi-dimensions. The author shows that a classical solution to the Cauchy problem exists globally in time under smallness condition on the initial perturbation. Furthermore, the author obtains the L^p （2 ≤ p ≤ ∞） decay estimates of the solution.

EXISTENCE OF A NONTRIVIAL SOLUTION FOR CHOQUARD'S EQUATION

In this article, the authors consider the existence of a nontrivial solution for the following equation： -△u＋u=q（x）（｜u｜^2＊1/｜x｜）u, x∈R^3, where q（x） satisfies some conditions. Using a Min-Max method, the authors prove that there is at least one nontrivial solution for the above equation.

基于改进ShuffleNetV2的男西服领型识别与分类模型

针对男西服领型款式识别分类效果不佳的问题,提出一种基于改进ShuffleNetV2的识别与分类模型。首先收集男西服样本图像,建立包含9类男西服领型的样本库;其次以ShuffleNetV2模型为基础,引入CBAM注意力机制、H-Swish激活函数来增强模型特征提取能力,有效防止神经元坏死;另外利用迁移学习的方法再次增强模型的特征提取能力,提高模型的识别适应性和识别精度;最后对样本库数据集进行数据增强后开始训练验证。实验结果对比表明,本文的改进模型可以实现对男西服领型的有效识别和分类,平均准确率达到92.82%。本文为解决男西服领型识别与分类困难等问题提供了有效的解决方案,对服装定制行业的分类识别具有借鉴意义。

Awareness, Practice and Intention to Practice Testicular Self-Examination among Professional Working Males in Ghana

Background: The aetiology of Testicular Cancer (TC) is still unknown to researchers but many of the associated risk factors have been identified. These include family history, age, racial origin, cryptorchidism, urogenital malformations, testicular atrophy, and infertility. Given the lack of scientific data on the causes of the disease, it has been asserted in previous studies that the promotion of awareness and early detection are prerequisites to mitigating risks of metastasis as well as improving survival. This study is to assess the awareness, practice, and intention to practice testicular self-examination among professional working males in Accra. Methods: A quantitative cross-sectional design with a structured research instrument was used to collect data from respondants. The purposive and convenience sampling techniques were used to collect data from 300 men at Accra in Ghana. The study was conducted at two (2) Universities and a Senior High school at Accra in Ghana. The data was then analysed using descriptive statistics, logistic regression, multiple linear regression, and structural equation modeling. Results: From the study findings, 37% of male participants rated their knowledge of testicular self-examination and related symptoms as good, 28% of participants practised testicular self-examination monthly, while 65% of respondents expressed their intention to practice monthly testicular self-examination. The findings from logistic regression demonstrated that level of education, age, and marital status of participants had a significant influence on testicular self-examination. Additionally, the multiple linear regression results revealed knowledge and self-efficacy significantly predict testicular self-examination intention. The path coefficient results from the structural equation model are consistent with results from the regression models. Conclusion: This research is the first to investigate testicular self-examination among men in Ghana. The findings revealed awareness and practice of TSE are low among participants. Therefore, the research findings would improve the expertise of physicians and nurses in providing counsel, intervention, and support for patients at risk of testicular cancer.

Existence Results on General Integrodifferential Evolution Equations in Banach Space

In this paper we prove the existence of mild solutions of a general class of nonlinear evolution integrodifferential equation in Banach spaces. Based on the resolvent operator and the Schaefer fixed point theorem, a sufficient condition for the existence of general integrodifferential evolution equations is established.

Existence and Uniqueness of Solution to Semilinear Fractional Elliptic Equation

In this work, we study the following problem. , where ?is the fractional Laplacian and Ω?is a bounded domain in RN?with Lipschitz boundary. g: R→R?is an increasing locally Lipschitz continuous function. and f∈Lm(Ω), . We use Stampacchia’s theorem to study existence of the solution u, and we prove the uniqueness of u by contradiction.

Existence of Solutions for Some <i>p</i>(<i>x</i>)-polyharmonic Elliptic Kirchhoff Equations

In this paper, we study the existence of solution for some p(x)-polyharmonic Kirchhoff equations. The latter is allowed to vanish at the origin (degenerate case). Firstly, we study the existence of solutions of approximate equations. Secondly, we prove the existence of the solutions of the original equation. The main tool is the Schauder’s Theorem.

ON UNIQUENESS,EXISTENCE AND OBJECTIVITY OF S-R DECOMPOSITION THEOREM

Thai men＇s health and sexual attitude

Men＇s health awareness, including the research and study of quality of life, sexual desires and risk factors, has increased worldwide. In Thailand, this advancement is made possible by cooperation, research and sponsorship from the local Thai community. This article aims to illustrate the sexual attitudes of Thai people, to determine the degree of erectile dysfunction （ED） and to investigate how to manage and cope with ED in a Thai community. We reviewed the relevant literature from Thai-based articles and surveys in regard to men＇s health, sexual attitudes, the prevalence of ED and common risk factors in the Thai community. The primary risk factor for ED in Thai men was age-related health decline and the presence of vascular disease. Most Thai men will seek consultation from their partner in regard to ED. The main presentation of metabolic disease in Thai patients was dyslipidemia. New selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are not available for premature ejaculation in Thai communities. The debate in regard to malpractice compensation is an issue that should be closely monitored. There is currently a shortage of home care for the elderly in Thailand. The insights provided by the articles helped recruit the study patients and in turn, helped us gain knowledge that can be translated into improved men＇s health care in Thailand.

Development of a Social Activities Scale for Community-Dwelling Older Men Requiring Support in Japan

Aim: We developed a scale to measure the social activities of community-dwelling older men requiring support. Methods: The participants were a group of 134 men, ≥65 years old, who required support and were living in Hokkaido, Japan. An anonymous questionnaire was administered through individual interviews. Valid responses were obtained from 121/134 interviewees. The construct validity of the resulting scale was assessed by exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Criterion-related validity was tested with Spearman’s rank correlation test based on the Social Activities Index for Elderly People (SAI-E). Reliability was assessed by Cronbach’s alpha. Results: A Social Activities Scale for Community-dwelling Older Men Requiring Support (SASOMS) scale was created, comprised of the following three subscales: daily interactions with familiar people;intimate relationships with family members;and interactions with others through activity programs (e.g., exercise, games, recreation, etc.). The created SASOMS scale correlated with the SAI-E (r = 0.557), and its criterion-related validity was confirmed. The alpha coefficient of the new scale was 0.791, and its internal consistency was confirmed. Conclusions: The reliability and validity of the developed SASOMS scale was confirmed, demonstrating that it can be used to assess social activities specifically in older men requiring support. Our results suggest that the scale can be used effectively by care providers who support older men requiring care. The usability of the SASOMS should continue to be improved, and it is necessary to verify its validity in longitudinal studies.

Women's Language or Powerless Language:A Study of Couples' Talk

The purpose of this essay is to study whether the linguistic behaviour of adult women using hedging and tags as indicative of an intrinsically tentative gender identity or of the effects of male dominant position through analyzing daily conversations of the heterosexual couples.The small scale study employs the methodology,namely,recording spontaneous and natural spoken conversation from authentic interaction with the permission of the ten male-female couples.Digital record pen with an omnidirectional microphone are placed in the central living area of each couple's home.Then discourse analysis provides data making it possible to support Fishman's claim that women use tag questions and 'you know' not because women are not being really sure of themselves,or are looking to the addressee for confirmation,but because men in a dominant position often refuse to take responsibility for the smooth conduct of interpersonal relations,women use tag questions and 'you know' to elicit and maintain conversations.

The men’s health center:Disparities in gender specific health services among the top 50“best hospitals”in America

Objective:Gender-specific integrated health services have long existed in the arena of women’s health care,but men’s health centers(MHCs)have only recently emerged as a novel practice model.Here,we seek to evaluate the prevalence and format of MHCs found in the leading academic medical centers in the United States.Methods:The US News&World Report’s Top 50 Ranked Hospitals for Urology was used as our cohort.Data were gathered on the presence of MHCs and types of providers and conditions treated.An equivalent search was performed for women’s health centers(WHCs).Results:Sixteen of 50(32%)promoted some type of MHC,compared to 49 of 50(98%)offering a WHC.Eight of the top 15 ranked institutions(53%)had an MHC compared to eight of 35(23%)remaining programs.Six of 16 MHCs incorporated providers from a variety of medical disciplines,including urologists,internists,endocrinologists,cardiologists,and psychologists,while another six of 16 MHCs were staffed solely by urologists.Eight of 16 provided services for exclusively urologic issues,four of 16 offered additional services in treatment of other medical conditions,and four of 16 did not specify.
