How Rustic Videos Influence Youth’s Linguistic Expression: An Analysis Based on Semiotics, Meme Theory and Media Spectacle Theory

The surge in popularity of rustic videos has spawned a great number of Internet memes, such as Internet trendy words growing from dialects and strange pronunciations, picture memes made from video screenshots, and mesmerizing music with a vernacular flavor. Due to their reproducibility, social interaction, and involvement, these rustic videos adhere to the fundamental logic of the propagation of online memes. Rustic videos are widely disseminated as online memes on TikTok (the Chinese version), are often reproduced and used by young people in social contact, and have become a unique linguistic symbol in modern internet culture. As a symbolic carrier that transports the consciousness of the video creator and viewer, it is widely employed in the communication and engagement of young people on a regular basis, progressively altering their linguistic expression. This specific semiotic interaction has deconstructed and recreated the conventional media culture spectacle. This research examines the influence of rustic videos on TikTok on the linguistic expressions of modern youth from the perspectives of meme theory and semiotics, as well as the impact of rustic videos on the media spectacle from the standpoint of media spectacle theory. It also examines in depth the effects of the popularity of rustic videos on China’s economy and culture.

基于社交货币理论框架,对以猫Meme为代表的网络梗文化在社交媒体平台上的传播动力学进行了深入剖析,并探讨了这些传播活动如何塑造并影响社会文化景观。通过综合既有文献的分析与逻辑推理,研究深入揭示了猫Meme作为当代青年亚文化的核心元素,如何凭借其蕴含的幽默感与共鸣力等独特社交价值,在网络社群中流通并积累社交资本,进而促进了个体身份的确认与群体凝聚力的形成。研究详细追踪了猫Meme从原创生成至广泛传播的完整链条,包括其在社交网络中的初次引爆点、传播链路中用户互动的动态机制,以及模仿与二次创作如何加速其扩散过程。同时,还深入考察了猫Meme作为社交货币在传播周期中的价值增减规律,并全面讨论了猫Meme文化对青年群体价值观念、社会行为规范乃至主流意识形态产生的深远影响及其复杂互动关系。Based on the theoretical framework of social currency, the study provides an in-depth analysis of the communication dynamics of online meme culture represented by cat meme on social media platforms, and explores how these communication activities shape and influence the socio-cultural landscape. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature and logical reasoning, the study reveals how cat meme, as a core element of contemporary youth subculture, circulates and accumulates social capital in online communities by virtue of its unique social values, such as its sense of humour and empathy, and thus contributes to the confirmation of individual identity and the formation of group cohesion. The study traces in detail the complete chain of cat meme from original generation to widespread dissemination, including its initial trigger point in the social network, the dynamic mechanism of user interaction in the dissemination chain, as well as how imitation and secondary creation accelerated its diffusion process. Meanwhile, it also examines in depth the law of value increase and decrease of cat meme as a social currency in the dissemination cycle, and discusses the profound impact of cat meme culture on the values, social behavioural norms, and even the mainstream ideology of the youth group, as well as its complex interactive relationship.

2019年初,一种被称为"memes"的图片开始在新浪微博等国内社交媒体平台上发布和传播。自此,"memes"开始被越来越多的网友制作、发布,形成了一股新的网络潮流。"memes"也被网友和博主们称为"梗图""迷因图",其形式多为标注了简短说明性文字的图片,内容涵盖范围极广,风格幽默。制作和分享"memes"的人以"memers"互称。"memes"在国内互联网出现至今,催生了许多依靠其获取流量的博主及以"memes"为主要内容的微博话题。其中,以微博博主"今日memes"为例,其已经发布超过3万条以"memes"为主要内容的微博,而其创立的话题"今日memes"自2019年1月发布至今已经获得了超过30亿的浏览量以及超过108万的讨论数。"Memes梗图"被冠以"迷因"之名,其本质也为一种网络迷因的载体。文章引入网络迷因理论,对"memes"这个新的网络潮流进行分析,探讨其生成和传播机制,并挖掘其流行背后的心理动因,从而为理解这一网络文化现象提供切入点。

Internet memes,as multimodal cultural products disseminated through the Internet,usually take the form of short videos or images that express humor or satire.The creation and dissemination of humor in memes are both creative and complex,and the successful perception of meme humor reflects humans’universal thinking capacity.Based on the theoretical framework of conceptual blending,this paper selects a set of COVID-19 publicity posters from the official Weibo account of China Guangzhou Fabu(Guangzhou Internet Information Office),analyses the multi-level structure of Internet memes,and explores the dynamic cognitive process in the interpretation of humorous memes to reveal people’s ability to make simultaneous analogies and integration between elements in different mental spaces.

青年网络梗文化是流量时代常见于青年群体间的文化现象,它反映了当前青年的实际思想动态。梗以其语言表达变更性、形式风格多样性、情感价值多元性和流行传播圈层性的多维特征深受青年追捧和喜爱。当代青年以梗疏解现代焦虑,拓宽了意见表达空间,但在流行中也诱发了消极影响,具体表现为:同质化的语言表达,消解传统文化魅力;戏谑情绪主导用梗,引发传统道德危机;陷入价值意义迷失,冲击主流意识形态。针对这些消极影响,可以从坚持正确价值导向、加强青年人文关怀、提升青年媒介素养、强化媒介平台治理等多方面发力引导青年“梗”文化正向发展。

网络新词族“X替”探微——以“嘴替”为例

以“嘴替”为代表的网络新词族“X替”主要是由单音节的身体部位词或少量不及物动词与类词缀“替”构成的附加式合成词。“X替”的语义由“替代某人做某事的人”隐喻“某种表现引起共鸣的人”义,还可进一步转喻“对某行为深切认同”义,其中“替”有成为词缀的趋势。“X替”作句法成分受到语体的制约,在口语中作宾语,在书面语中除作宾语外,还可作主语与定语。“X替”在语言环境中具有鲜明的褒义色彩,其形成与流行受到了语言内部因素及外部因素的共同影响。

虚拟数字人:模因论的新“锚点” --模因论视域下的虚拟数字人:概念、特征和应用

20世纪70年代道金斯提出“模因”概念后,模因理论发展先后经历了“生物学隐喻阶段”“文化研究阶段”和2020年以来在AI技术推动下逐渐形成的“多模态智能化阶段”,具备人的特征、可交互的新媒介“虚拟数字人”成为第三阶段的新锚点。本研究在模因论视域下,对虚拟数字人进行了概念和特征分析;同时,结合当前流行的虚拟偶像、数字员工、虚拟主播等应用实践,论述模因是如何通过“虚拟数字人”改变我们的信息加工方式、作用于社会生产生活,为分析虚拟数字人的价值、应用、进化提供一个新视角。

“智慧情报”意指情报领域的智能化,包括情报手段智能化和认知服务智能化。文章对智慧情报所涉及的诸如知识检测、知识发现、知识创造和知识工程等概念工具与实施手段进行阐述,通过对智慧情报的事实刻画来展现情报专业智慧,提出运用“情报智慧”迎接“智慧情报”。

结合图卷积网络的多模态仇恨迷因识别研究

针对现有迷因识别方法常忽视网络实体作用的情况,提出一种结合图卷积网络的迷因识别方法。提取图像中网络实体信息,利用图卷积网络对网络实体模态和文本模态进行融合,结合外源词典从多角度衡量网络实体和迷因文本之间的关系,构建跨域图;通过注意力模块对文本和图像模态进行交互,结合自蒸馏技术提高模型对信息的利用率。实验结果表明:该方法在Hateful Memes和MAMI数据集上的准确率分别达到76.03%和73.9%,性能优于现有的SOTA模型。

文化进化的meme理论及其难题

meme概念来自英国著名生物学家道金斯。道金斯把meme看做是文化进化的基本单元。meme概念提出后得到了学术界一些学者的赞同,在他们的努力下,20世纪末逐步形成了用meme解释文化进化的新领域。meme理论把文化进化看做是文化复制因子--meme遗传、变异和选择的结果。但是meme存在的合法性及其进化的机制受到了许多学者的质疑,meme理论还面临着许多尚未解决的难题,现有的科学证据并不能确定meme的存在,同样也不能确定meme储存和传递的机制。
