Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of percutaneous microwave ablation(MWA) for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels and to investigate the treatment strategies....Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of percutaneous microwave ablation(MWA) for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels and to investigate the treatment strategies.Methods From March 2009 to July 2015,a total of 86 patients with 94 tumors underwent ultrasound(US)-guided percutaneous MWA,with pathologically proven or clinically diagnosed liver cancers measuring ≤ 3 cm in diameter and located ≤ 10 mm from a major vessel(n = 94).Regular follow-up after MWA was performed to assess treatment efficacy and perioperative complications.Results The complete ablation rate at 1 month after MWA was 93.3%(84/90).The 6-,9-,12-,24-,36-,48-,60-,72-,and 84-month local recurrence rates were 2.4%,2.4%,3.7%,6.6%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,and 8.4%,respectively.There were no major complications.The perioperative special complication rate was 5.32%(5/94),including 3 cases of moderate liver function damage and 2 cases of limited sub-capsular hematoma.Conclusion Percutaneous MWA for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels is feasible,effective,and safe with an acceptable rate of complications.The key point is to strictly follow operative indications and adopt proper treatment strategies.展开更多

The structures and morphology of the YAG were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The synthesis kinetics of two kinds of YAG nanocrystals was investigated using differential thermal analysis and thermo gravimetric analysis (DTA-TG) at different heating rates in argon gas. The results show that two kinds of YAG precursors have one obvious endothermic peak at 315-600 K. The apparent activation energy of two kinds of YAG precursors was calculated using the Doyle-Ozawa and Kissinger methods, the coefficients of reaction order, frequency factor and kinetic equations were also determined. The average apparent activation energy for the YAG precursor prepared by ultrasound-microwave assisted was calculated to be 80.76 kJ.mol-1 higher than the YAG precursor prepared by ultrasound-assisted synthesis (56.56 kJ.mol-1).展开更多

The influences of synthesis temperature and holding time on the phase composition and microstructure during the microwave CRN were studied by XRD, SEM and EDS. The comparison between two heating techniques, conventional and microwave heating, on the synthesized powder was presented as well. The experimental results revealed that the phase compositions and microstructures of the synthesized products were greatly affected by the synthesis temperature and holding time. With an increase in the synthesis temperature or holding time, the relative amount of α′-Sialon increased and α′-Sialon became the main crystalline phase at 1400 °C for 6 h. The synthesized products also contained AlN, BN and a small amount of β-SiC. Elongated α′-Sialon grains, short rod AlN grains, aggregate nanoscale BN grains were observed in the synthesized powders. The reaction temperature of microwave heating method was reduced by 80 °C, the reaction time was shortened by 2 h, and more elongated α′-Sialon grains with large aspect ratio were observed.展开更多

The rose essential oil...The aim of the present work was to investigate the synergetic effect of microwave and ultrasound treatment on the production, chemical composition and antioxidant activity of rose essential oil. The rose essential oil was extracted from fresh Rosa x damciscena Mill. petals by four methods, hydrodistillation, steam distillation, organic solvent extraction and ultrasounds followed by microwave hydrodistillation. The chemical composition of the extracts was analysed by GC-MS, and the antioxidant capacity by DPPH. It was found that both chemical composition and the antioxidant activity of the extracts depend on the extraction method. Overall it was found that microwaves coupled with ultrasonic treatment can be used effectively for the intensification of the extraction of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes--fragrance bearing molecules--and equally, for increased antioxidant activity while using about 4 time shorter extraction time. The scale-up of the method was also evaluated. The results obtained in this research support the possible use of the US/MW method for the extraction of rose essential oil for the pharmaceutical and fragrance industry.展开更多

BACKGROUND Increasing data indicated that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)were directly or indirectly involved in the occurrence and development of tumors,including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Recent studies had found t...BACKGROUND Increasing data indicated that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)were directly or indirectly involved in the occurrence and development of tumors,including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Recent studies had found that the expression of lncRNA HAND2-AS1 was downregulated in HCC tissues,but its role in HCC progression is unclear.Ultrasound targeted microbubble destruction mediated gene transfection is a new method to overexpress genes.AIM To study the role of ultrasound microbubbles(UTMBs)mediated HAND2-AS1 in the progression of HCC,in order to provide a new reference for the treatment of HCC.METHODS In vitro,we transfected HAND2-AS1 siRNA into HepG2 cells by UTMBs,and detected cell proliferation,apoptosis,invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)by cell counting kit-8 assay,flow cytometry,Transwell invasion assay and Western blotting,respectively.In addition,we transfected miR-837-5p mimic into UTMBs treated cells and observed the changes of cell behavior.Next,the UTMBs treated HepG2 cells were transfected together with miR-837-5p mimic and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-2(TIMP2)overexpression vector,and we detected cell proliferation,apoptosis,invasion and EMT.In vivo,we established a mouse model of subcutaneous transplantation of HepG2 cells and observed the effect of HAND2-AS1 silencing on tumor formation ability.RESULTS We found that UTMBs carrying HAND2-AS1 restricted cell proliferation,invasion,and EMT,encouraged apoptosis,and HAND2-AS1 silencing eliminated the effect of UTMBs.Additionally,miR-873-5p targets the gene HAND2-AS1,which also targets the 3’UTR of TIMP2.And miR-873-5p mimic counteracted the impact of HAND2-AS1.Further,miR-873-5p mimic solely or in combination with pcDNA-TIMP2 had been transformed into HepG2 cells exposed to UTMBs.We discovered that TIMP2 reversed the effect of miR-873-5p mimic caused by the blocked signalling cascade for matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)2/MMP9.In vivo results showed that HAND2-AS1 silencing significantly inhibited tumor formation in mice.CONCLUSION LncRNA HAND2-AS1 promotes TIMP2 expression by targeting miR-873-5p to inhibit HepG2 cell growth and delay HCC progression.展开更多
The first ablation procedures for small hepatocellular carcinomas were percutaneous ethanol injection under ultrasound(US)guidance.Later,radiofrequency ablation was shown to achieve larger coagulation areas than percu...The first ablation procedures for small hepatocellular carcinomas were percutaneous ethanol injection under ultrasound(US)guidance.Later,radiofrequency ablation was shown to achieve larger coagulation areas than percutaneous ethanol injection and became the most used ablation technique worldwide.In the past decade,microwave ablation systems have achieved larger ablation areas than radiofrequency ablation,suggesting that the 3-cm barrier could be broken in the treatment of liver tumors.Likewise,US techniques to guide percutaneous ablation have seen important progress.Contrast-enhanced US(CEUS)can define and target the tumor better than US and can assess the size of the ablation area after the procedure,which allows immediate retreatment of the residual tumor foci.Furthermore,fusion imaging fuses real-time US images with computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging with significant improvements in detecting and targeting lesions with low conspicuity on CEUS.Recently,software powered by artificial intelligence has been developed to allow three-dimensional segmentation and reconstruction of the anatomical structures,aiding in procedure planning,assessing ablation completeness,and targeting the residual viable foci with greater precision than CEUS.Hopefully,this could lead to the ablation of tumors up to 5-7 cm in size.展开更多

To improve drying uniformity and anthocyanin content of the raspberry puree dried in a continuous microwave dryer,the effects of process parameters(microwave intensity,air velocity,and drying time)on evaluation indexe...To improve drying uniformity and anthocyanin content of the raspberry puree dried in a continuous microwave dryer,the effects of process parameters(microwave intensity,air velocity,and drying time)on evaluation indexes(average temperature,average moisture content,average retention rate of the total anthocyanin content,temperature contrast value,and moisture dispersion value)were investigated via the response surface method(RSM)and the artificial neural network(ANN)with genetic algorithm(GA).The results showed that the microwave intensity and drying time dominated the changes of evaluation indexes.Overall,the ANN model was superior to the RSM model with better estimation ability,and higher drying uniformity and anthocyanin retention rate were achieved for the ANN-GA model compared with RSM.The optimal parameters were microwave intensity of 5.53 W•g^(-1),air velocity of 1.22 m·s^(-1),and drying time of 5.85 min.This study might provide guidance for process optimization of microwave drying berry fruits.展开更多
As concepts closely related to microwave absorption properties,impedance matching and phase matching were rarely combined with material parameters to regulate properties and explore related mechanisms.In this work,red...As concepts closely related to microwave absorption properties,impedance matching and phase matching were rarely combined with material parameters to regulate properties and explore related mechanisms.In this work,reduction–diffusion method was innovatively applied to synthesize rare earth alloy Y_(2)Fe_(17).In order to regulate the electromagnetic parameters of absorbers,the Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)particles were coated with silica(Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)@SiO_(2))and absorbers with different volume fractions were prepared.The relationship between impedance matching,matching thickness,and the strongest reflection loss peak(RLmin)was presented obviously.Compared to the microwave absorption properties of Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)/PU absorber,Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)@SiO_(2)/PU absorbers are more conducive to the realization of microwave absorption material standards which are thin thickness,light weight,strong absorbing intensity,and broad bandwidth.Based on microwave frequency bands,the microwave absorption properties of the absorbers were analyzed and the related parameters were listed.As an important parameter related to perfect matching,reflection factor(√ε_(r)/μ_(r))was discussed combined with microwave amplitude attenuation.According to the origin and mathematical model of bandwidth,the formula of EAB(RL<-10 dB)was derived and simplified.The calculated bandwidths agreed well with experimental results.展开更多
Aim of this study is to see how ultrasound(US)and microwave(MW)pretreatments affectγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)and physicochemical parameters of sorghum sprouts.Before sprouting,the sorghum was treated with the US at di...Aim of this study is to see how ultrasound(US)and microwave(MW)pretreatments affectγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)and physicochemical parameters of sorghum sprouts.Before sprouting,the sorghum was treated with the US at different time intervals(10,15,20 min)and MW at various power levels(10%,30%,50%).Sample treated by the US for 15 min showed the highest sprouting percentage of 97.33%.Both treatments induced stress in grain resulting in GABA accumulation substantially from the control where US for 15 min and MW at 10%power level had the highest of 87.14 and 66.97μg/g,respectively.US treatment for 20 min showed the highest total phenolic content(TPC)of 21.26 mg GAE/100 g,while on 10 min of treatment,it showed the highest antioxidant activity of 84.53%DPPH inhibition.The water absorption capacity and oil absorption capacity were the highest of 0.86 g/g and 0.98 g/g in the MW-treated sample at 10%output power respectively.In conclusion,the ultrasound treatment successfully accelerated the sprouting rate and GABA content while retaining total phenolic content,making it beneficial for developing functional foods.展开更多

AIM:To assess the usefulness of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) during follow-up after percutaneous ablation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:A total of 141 patients with HCCs who received percut...AIM:To assess the usefulness of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) during follow-up after percutaneous ablation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:A total of 141 patients with HCCs who received percutaneous ablation therapy were assessed by paired follow-up CEUS and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT).The follow-up scheme was designed prospectively and the intervals between CEUS and CECT examinations were less than 14 d.Both im-ages of follow-up CEUS and CECT were reviewed by radiologists.The ablated lesions were evaluated and classified as local tumor progression (LTP) and LTPfree.LTP was defined as regrowth of tumor inside or adjacent to the successfully treated nodule.The detected new intrahepatic recurrences were also evaluated and defined as presence of intrahepatic new foci.On CEUS and CECT,LTP and new intrahepatic recurrence both were displayed as typical enhancement pattern of HCC (i.e.,hyper-enhancing during the arterial phase and washout in the late phase).With CECT as the reference standard,the ability of CEUS in detecting LTP or new intrahepatic recurrence during follow-up was evaluated.RESULTS:During a follow-up period of 1-31 mo (median,4 mo),169 paired CEUS and CECT examinations were carried out for the 141 patients.For a total of 221 ablated lesions,266 comparisons between CEUS and CECT findings were performed.Thirty-three LTPs were detected on CEUS whereas 40 LTPs were detected on CECT,there was significant difference (P < 0.001).In comparison with CECT,the numbers of false positive and false negative LTPs detected on CEUS were 6 and 13,respectively;the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value (PPV),negative predictive value (NPV) and overall accuracy of CEUS in detecting LTPs were 67.5%,97.4%,81.8%,94.4% and 92.3%,respectively.Meanwhile,131 new intrahepatic recurrent foci were detected on CEUS whereas 183 were detected on CECT,there was also significant difference (P < 0.05).In comparison with CECT,the numbers of false positive and false negative intrahepatic recurrences detected on CEUS were 13 and 65,respectively;the sensitivity,specificity,PPV,NPV and overall accuracy of CEUS in detecting new intrahepatic recurrent foci were 77.7%,92.0%,92.4%,76.7% and 84.0%,respectively.CONCLUSION:The sensitivity of CEUS in detecting LTP and new intrahepatic recurrence after percutaneous ablation therapy is relatively low in comparisonwith CECT.展开更多

The patients were divided into a microwave ablation group(41 cases) and a surgical group(46 cases). The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay, serum C-reactive protein(CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), thyroid-related hormonal changes, and complications 7 d and 30 d after surgery were observed. RESULTS The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, and length of hospital stay in the surgical group were significantly higher than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). The levels of CRP, IL-6, and TNF-α in the surgical group were significantly higher than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). The free triiodothyronine(FT3) and free thyroxin(FT4) levels in the surgical group were significantly lower than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). However,the postoperative thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)level was significantly higher than that in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). There were significant interactions between the FT3, FT4, and TSH 7 d and 30 d after operation and the treatment methods(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the complications between the two groups(P > 0.05). CONCLUSION Microwave ablation for papillary microcarcinoma of the thyroid gland has less trauma to the body, quicker recovery, and no scars. It can effectively shorten the length of hospital stay and improve the quality of life of patients.展开更多
BACKGROUND To ensure clinical efficacy and prolong patient survival,treatments such as surgery and microwave ablation(MWA)are used for early liver cancer.MWA is preferred because it effectively preserves the normal li...BACKGROUND To ensure clinical efficacy and prolong patient survival,treatments such as surgery and microwave ablation(MWA)are used for early liver cancer.MWA is preferred because it effectively preserves the normal liver tissue and causes transient coagulation necrosis of local liver tumor cells.However,due to technical limitations,the cancerous liver tissue cannot be completely ablated;therefore,the probability of local tumor recurrence is high.AIM To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA in the treatment of small liver cancer.METHODS A total of 118 patients treated for small liver cancer in The Central Hospital of Yongzhou from January 2018 to April 2019 were selected.Sixty-six patients received ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA(MWA group)and 52 received laparoscopic surgery(laparoscope group).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses of both groups were statistically analyzed.Serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL),albumin(ALB),alpha fetal protein(AFP),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and peripheral blood regulatory T lymphocytes(Treg)levels were evaluated pre-and post-operatively.The cross-sectional area of tumors measured before and after ablation was analyzed statistically;the therapeutic effect was compared between both groups in terms of surgical complications,2-year progression-free survival rate,and overall survival rate.RESULTS The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses in the MWA group were lower than those of the laparoscope group,and the differences were significant(P<0.05);these parameters,and ALT,AST,TBIL,and ALB levels were compared preoperatively between both groups,and there was no significance(P>0.05).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses for 2 d and 1 wk after surgery,the ALT and AST of the MWA group were lower than those of the laparoscope group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses,and serum AFP,CEA,and Treg levels were measured preoperatively and 4 and 8 wk postoperatively,and there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with preoperative levels,serum AFP,CEA,and Treg levels in both groups were decreased(P<0.05).The lesion in the MWA group had a maximum area of 4.86±0.90 cm2,1.24±0.57 cm2,and 0.31±0.11 cm2 preoperatively,1 and 3 mo postoperatively,respectively.Fifty-eight of them achieved complete response and eight achieved a partial response.After 2 years of followup,the progression-free and overall survival rates in the MWA group were 37.88%and 66.67%,respectively,compared with 44.23%and 76.92%in the laparoscope group,with no significant difference(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The effects of ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA in the treatment of small liver cancer are similar to those of laparoscopic surgery.However,ablation causes less trauma and liver dysfunction.展开更多
Objective:This study aimed to investigate the application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)before and after minimally invasive ablation procedures for benign thyroid nodule(s)(BTN).Methods:This prospective s...Objective:This study aimed to investigate the application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)before and after minimally invasive ablation procedures for benign thyroid nodule(s)(BTN).Methods:This prospective study included patients with BTNs scheduled to undergo ultrasound-guided minimally invasive ablation treatment.CEUS was performed before and after ablation(at 1 day,and 1,6,and 12 months after ablation).Changes in microvascular perfusion and the volume of BTNs were noted and assessed.Results:Sixty-two patients(62 BTNs),who underwent ablation procedures between June 2016 and August 2020,were included.All lesions were confirmed by biopsy,and histopathological results were obtained before ablation treatment.On preoperative CEUS,the lesions exhibited hyperenhancement(53.23%)or iso-enhancement(46.77%)during the arterial phase,and all lesions exhibited iso-enhancement in the venous and late phases.One day after ablation,none of the BTNs exhibited obvious enhancement on CEUS.One(1.61%)lesion was retreated due to a nodule-like enhancement area detected by CEUS at the 6-month follow-up.The mean nodular volume reduction rate(VRR)at 1,6,and 12 months follow-up demonstrated no significant difference between the two ablation groups(microwave ablation versus radiofrequency ablation).Twelve months after ablation,the mean(±SD)VRR of all BTNs was 60.3±10.3%.Conclusion:CEUS helped guide treatment decisions for BTNs before ablation treatment.Moreover,it could also be used to accurately and noninvasively evaluate treatment efficacy.展开更多
文摘Primary liver cancer and liver metastases are among the most frequent malignancies worldwide,with an increasing number of new cases and deaths every year.Traditional surgery is only suitable for a limited proportion of patients and imaging-guided percutaneous thermal ablation has achieved optimistic results for management of hepatic malignancy.This synopsis outlines the first clinical practice guidelines for ultrasoundguided percutaneous microwave ablation therapy for hepatic malignancy,which was created by a joint task force of the Society of Chinese Interventional Ultrasound.The guidelines aim at standardizing the microwave ablation procedure and therapeutic efficacy assessment,as well as proposing the criteria for the treatment candidates.
文摘Objective The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term efficacy and safety of percutaneous microwave ablation(MWA) for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels and to investigate the treatment strategies.Methods From March 2009 to July 2015,a total of 86 patients with 94 tumors underwent ultrasound(US)-guided percutaneous MWA,with pathologically proven or clinically diagnosed liver cancers measuring ≤ 3 cm in diameter and located ≤ 10 mm from a major vessel(n = 94).Regular follow-up after MWA was performed to assess treatment efficacy and perioperative complications.Results The complete ablation rate at 1 month after MWA was 93.3%(84/90).The 6-,9-,12-,24-,36-,48-,60-,72-,and 84-month local recurrence rates were 2.4%,2.4%,3.7%,6.6%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,8.4%,and 8.4%,respectively.There were no major complications.The perioperative special complication rate was 5.32%(5/94),including 3 cases of moderate liver function damage and 2 cases of limited sub-capsular hematoma.Conclusion Percutaneous MWA for small hepatic cancers adjacent to large vessels is feasible,effective,and safe with an acceptable rate of complications.The key point is to strictly follow operative indications and adopt proper treatment strategies.

文摘The Y3Al5O12 (YAG) nanocrystals were synthesized by ultrasound-assisted and ultrasound- microwave-assisted alkoxide hydrolysis precipitation methods. The structures and morphology of the YAG were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The synthesis kinetics of two kinds of YAG nanocrystals was investigated using differential thermal analysis and thermo gravimetric analysis (DTA-TG) at different heating rates in argon gas. The results show that two kinds of YAG precursors have one obvious endothermic peak at 315-600 K. The apparent activation energy of two kinds of YAG precursors was calculated using the Doyle-Ozawa and Kissinger methods, the coefficients of reaction order, frequency factor and kinetic equations were also determined. The average apparent activation energy for the YAG precursor prepared by ultrasound-microwave assisted was calculated to be 80.76 kJ.mol-1 higher than the YAG precursor prepared by ultrasound-assisted synthesis (56.56 kJ.mol-1).

文摘(Ca, Mg)-α′-Sialon-AlN-BN powders were synthesized by the carbothermal reduction and nitridation (CRN) method using boron-rich slag, one of the intermediate products from pyrometallurgy separation of pageit, as the staring material. The influences of synthesis temperature and holding time on the phase composition and microstructure during the microwave CRN were studied by XRD, SEM and EDS. The comparison between two heating techniques, conventional and microwave heating, on the synthesized powder was presented as well. The experimental results revealed that the phase compositions and microstructures of the synthesized products were greatly affected by the synthesis temperature and holding time. With an increase in the synthesis temperature or holding time, the relative amount of α′-Sialon increased and α′-Sialon became the main crystalline phase at 1400 °C for 6 h. The synthesized products also contained AlN, BN and a small amount of β-SiC. Elongated α′-Sialon grains, short rod AlN grains, aggregate nanoscale BN grains were observed in the synthesized powders. The reaction temperature of microwave heating method was reduced by 80 °C, the reaction time was shortened by 2 h, and more elongated α′-Sialon grains with large aspect ratio were observed.
文摘The aim of the present work was to investigate the synergetic effect of microwave and ultrasound treatment on the production, chemical composition and antioxidant activity of rose essential oil. The rose essential oil was extracted from fresh Rosa x damciscena Mill. petals by four methods, hydrodistillation, steam distillation, organic solvent extraction and ultrasounds followed by microwave hydrodistillation. The chemical composition of the extracts was analysed by GC-MS, and the antioxidant capacity by DPPH. It was found that both chemical composition and the antioxidant activity of the extracts depend on the extraction method. Overall it was found that microwaves coupled with ultrasonic treatment can be used effectively for the intensification of the extraction of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes--fragrance bearing molecules--and equally, for increased antioxidant activity while using about 4 time shorter extraction time. The scale-up of the method was also evaluated. The results obtained in this research support the possible use of the US/MW method for the extraction of rose essential oil for the pharmaceutical and fragrance industry.

文摘BACKGROUND Increasing data indicated that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)were directly or indirectly involved in the occurrence and development of tumors,including hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Recent studies had found that the expression of lncRNA HAND2-AS1 was downregulated in HCC tissues,but its role in HCC progression is unclear.Ultrasound targeted microbubble destruction mediated gene transfection is a new method to overexpress genes.AIM To study the role of ultrasound microbubbles(UTMBs)mediated HAND2-AS1 in the progression of HCC,in order to provide a new reference for the treatment of HCC.METHODS In vitro,we transfected HAND2-AS1 siRNA into HepG2 cells by UTMBs,and detected cell proliferation,apoptosis,invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)by cell counting kit-8 assay,flow cytometry,Transwell invasion assay and Western blotting,respectively.In addition,we transfected miR-837-5p mimic into UTMBs treated cells and observed the changes of cell behavior.Next,the UTMBs treated HepG2 cells were transfected together with miR-837-5p mimic and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-2(TIMP2)overexpression vector,and we detected cell proliferation,apoptosis,invasion and EMT.In vivo,we established a mouse model of subcutaneous transplantation of HepG2 cells and observed the effect of HAND2-AS1 silencing on tumor formation ability.RESULTS We found that UTMBs carrying HAND2-AS1 restricted cell proliferation,invasion,and EMT,encouraged apoptosis,and HAND2-AS1 silencing eliminated the effect of UTMBs.Additionally,miR-873-5p targets the gene HAND2-AS1,which also targets the 3’UTR of TIMP2.And miR-873-5p mimic counteracted the impact of HAND2-AS1.Further,miR-873-5p mimic solely or in combination with pcDNA-TIMP2 had been transformed into HepG2 cells exposed to UTMBs.We discovered that TIMP2 reversed the effect of miR-873-5p mimic caused by the blocked signalling cascade for matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)2/MMP9.In vivo results showed that HAND2-AS1 silencing significantly inhibited tumor formation in mice.CONCLUSION LncRNA HAND2-AS1 promotes TIMP2 expression by targeting miR-873-5p to inhibit HepG2 cell growth and delay HCC progression.
文摘The first ablation procedures for small hepatocellular carcinomas were percutaneous ethanol injection under ultrasound(US)guidance.Later,radiofrequency ablation was shown to achieve larger coagulation areas than percutaneous ethanol injection and became the most used ablation technique worldwide.In the past decade,microwave ablation systems have achieved larger ablation areas than radiofrequency ablation,suggesting that the 3-cm barrier could be broken in the treatment of liver tumors.Likewise,US techniques to guide percutaneous ablation have seen important progress.Contrast-enhanced US(CEUS)can define and target the tumor better than US and can assess the size of the ablation area after the procedure,which allows immediate retreatment of the residual tumor foci.Furthermore,fusion imaging fuses real-time US images with computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging with significant improvements in detecting and targeting lesions with low conspicuity on CEUS.Recently,software powered by artificial intelligence has been developed to allow three-dimensional segmentation and reconstruction of the anatomical structures,aiding in procedure planning,assessing ablation completeness,and targeting the residual viable foci with greater precision than CEUS.Hopefully,this could lead to the ablation of tumors up to 5-7 cm in size.

文摘A facile procedure for the synthesis of 3-(2′-amino-3′-cyano-4′-arylpyrid-6′-yl) coumarins are being reported starting from 3- acetylcoumarin, aromatic aldehydes and malononitrile. The reactions were carried out on microwave irradiation in good yield with short time and easy work-up. The structures of all the compounds have been confirmed on the basis of their analytical, IR, ^1H NMR, and mass spectral data.

文摘To improve drying uniformity and anthocyanin content of the raspberry puree dried in a continuous microwave dryer,the effects of process parameters(microwave intensity,air velocity,and drying time)on evaluation indexes(average temperature,average moisture content,average retention rate of the total anthocyanin content,temperature contrast value,and moisture dispersion value)were investigated via the response surface method(RSM)and the artificial neural network(ANN)with genetic algorithm(GA).The results showed that the microwave intensity and drying time dominated the changes of evaluation indexes.Overall,the ANN model was superior to the RSM model with better estimation ability,and higher drying uniformity and anthocyanin retention rate were achieved for the ANN-GA model compared with RSM.The optimal parameters were microwave intensity of 5.53 W•g^(-1),air velocity of 1.22 m·s^(-1),and drying time of 5.85 min.This study might provide guidance for process optimization of microwave drying berry fruits.

文摘As concepts closely related to microwave absorption properties,impedance matching and phase matching were rarely combined with material parameters to regulate properties and explore related mechanisms.In this work,reduction–diffusion method was innovatively applied to synthesize rare earth alloy Y_(2)Fe_(17).In order to regulate the electromagnetic parameters of absorbers,the Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)particles were coated with silica(Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)@SiO_(2))and absorbers with different volume fractions were prepared.The relationship between impedance matching,matching thickness,and the strongest reflection loss peak(RLmin)was presented obviously.Compared to the microwave absorption properties of Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)/PU absorber,Y_(2)Fe_(17)N_(3-δ)@SiO_(2)/PU absorbers are more conducive to the realization of microwave absorption material standards which are thin thickness,light weight,strong absorbing intensity,and broad bandwidth.Based on microwave frequency bands,the microwave absorption properties of the absorbers were analyzed and the related parameters were listed.As an important parameter related to perfect matching,reflection factor(√ε_(r)/μ_(r))was discussed combined with microwave amplitude attenuation.According to the origin and mathematical model of bandwidth,the formula of EAB(RL<-10 dB)was derived and simplified.The calculated bandwidths agreed well with experimental results.

文摘Aim of this study is to see how ultrasound(US)and microwave(MW)pretreatments affectγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)and physicochemical parameters of sorghum sprouts.Before sprouting,the sorghum was treated with the US at different time intervals(10,15,20 min)and MW at various power levels(10%,30%,50%).Sample treated by the US for 15 min showed the highest sprouting percentage of 97.33%.Both treatments induced stress in grain resulting in GABA accumulation substantially from the control where US for 15 min and MW at 10%power level had the highest of 87.14 and 66.97μg/g,respectively.US treatment for 20 min showed the highest total phenolic content(TPC)of 21.26 mg GAE/100 g,while on 10 min of treatment,it showed the highest antioxidant activity of 84.53%DPPH inhibition.The water absorption capacity and oil absorption capacity were the highest of 0.86 g/g and 0.98 g/g in the MW-treated sample at 10%output power respectively.In conclusion,the ultrasound treatment successfully accelerated the sprouting rate and GABA content while retaining total phenolic content,making it beneficial for developing functional foods.

The Cu atom is surrounded by two O atoms and two N atoms from two 2-[(2,4-diehloro-phenylimino)-methyl]-4,6-diiodo-phenol molecules to form a tetrahedral coordination environment. The complex is linked into a column by weak intermolecular interactions.

文摘AIM:To assess the usefulness of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) during follow-up after percutaneous ablation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS:A total of 141 patients with HCCs who received percutaneous ablation therapy were assessed by paired follow-up CEUS and contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT).The follow-up scheme was designed prospectively and the intervals between CEUS and CECT examinations were less than 14 d.Both im-ages of follow-up CEUS and CECT were reviewed by radiologists.The ablated lesions were evaluated and classified as local tumor progression (LTP) and LTPfree.LTP was defined as regrowth of tumor inside or adjacent to the successfully treated nodule.The detected new intrahepatic recurrences were also evaluated and defined as presence of intrahepatic new foci.On CEUS and CECT,LTP and new intrahepatic recurrence both were displayed as typical enhancement pattern of HCC (i.e.,hyper-enhancing during the arterial phase and washout in the late phase).With CECT as the reference standard,the ability of CEUS in detecting LTP or new intrahepatic recurrence during follow-up was evaluated.RESULTS:During a follow-up period of 1-31 mo (median,4 mo),169 paired CEUS and CECT examinations were carried out for the 141 patients.For a total of 221 ablated lesions,266 comparisons between CEUS and CECT findings were performed.Thirty-three LTPs were detected on CEUS whereas 40 LTPs were detected on CECT,there was significant difference (P < 0.001).In comparison with CECT,the numbers of false positive and false negative LTPs detected on CEUS were 6 and 13,respectively;the sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value (PPV),negative predictive value (NPV) and overall accuracy of CEUS in detecting LTPs were 67.5%,97.4%,81.8%,94.4% and 92.3%,respectively.Meanwhile,131 new intrahepatic recurrent foci were detected on CEUS whereas 183 were detected on CECT,there was also significant difference (P < 0.05).In comparison with CECT,the numbers of false positive and false negative intrahepatic recurrences detected on CEUS were 13 and 65,respectively;the sensitivity,specificity,PPV,NPV and overall accuracy of CEUS in detecting new intrahepatic recurrent foci were 77.7%,92.0%,92.4%,76.7% and 84.0%,respectively.CONCLUSION:The sensitivity of CEUS in detecting LTP and new intrahepatic recurrence after percutaneous ablation therapy is relatively low in comparisonwith CECT.

文摘AIM To compare the effect and postoperative trauma of ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation and surgical resection in the treatment of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma(PTMC).METHODS Eighty-seven patients with PTMC treated at Fudan University affiliated Shanghai Fifth People's Hospital were enrolled as subjects. The patients were divided into a microwave ablation group(41 cases) and a surgical group(46 cases). The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, length of hospital stay, serum C-reactive protein(CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α), thyroid-related hormonal changes, and complications 7 d and 30 d after surgery were observed. RESULTS The operative time, intraoperative blood loss, and length of hospital stay in the surgical group were significantly higher than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). The levels of CRP, IL-6, and TNF-α in the surgical group were significantly higher than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). The free triiodothyronine(FT3) and free thyroxin(FT4) levels in the surgical group were significantly lower than those in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). However,the postoperative thyroid stimulating hormone(TSH)level was significantly higher than that in the microwave ablation group(P < 0.05). There were significant interactions between the FT3, FT4, and TSH 7 d and 30 d after operation and the treatment methods(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the complications between the two groups(P > 0.05). CONCLUSION Microwave ablation for papillary microcarcinoma of the thyroid gland has less trauma to the body, quicker recovery, and no scars. It can effectively shorten the length of hospital stay and improve the quality of life of patients.
文摘BACKGROUND To ensure clinical efficacy and prolong patient survival,treatments such as surgery and microwave ablation(MWA)are used for early liver cancer.MWA is preferred because it effectively preserves the normal liver tissue and causes transient coagulation necrosis of local liver tumor cells.However,due to technical limitations,the cancerous liver tissue cannot be completely ablated;therefore,the probability of local tumor recurrence is high.AIM To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA in the treatment of small liver cancer.METHODS A total of 118 patients treated for small liver cancer in The Central Hospital of Yongzhou from January 2018 to April 2019 were selected.Sixty-six patients received ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA(MWA group)and 52 received laparoscopic surgery(laparoscope group).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses of both groups were statistically analyzed.Serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),total bilirubin(TBIL),albumin(ALB),alpha fetal protein(AFP),carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),and peripheral blood regulatory T lymphocytes(Treg)levels were evaluated pre-and post-operatively.The cross-sectional area of tumors measured before and after ablation was analyzed statistically;the therapeutic effect was compared between both groups in terms of surgical complications,2-year progression-free survival rate,and overall survival rate.RESULTS The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses in the MWA group were lower than those of the laparoscope group,and the differences were significant(P<0.05);these parameters,and ALT,AST,TBIL,and ALB levels were compared preoperatively between both groups,and there was no significance(P>0.05).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses for 2 d and 1 wk after surgery,the ALT and AST of the MWA group were lower than those of the laparoscope group,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The operation time,blood loss,hospital stay,and medical expenses,and serum AFP,CEA,and Treg levels were measured preoperatively and 4 and 8 wk postoperatively,and there were no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).Compared with preoperative levels,serum AFP,CEA,and Treg levels in both groups were decreased(P<0.05).The lesion in the MWA group had a maximum area of 4.86±0.90 cm2,1.24±0.57 cm2,and 0.31±0.11 cm2 preoperatively,1 and 3 mo postoperatively,respectively.Fifty-eight of them achieved complete response and eight achieved a partial response.After 2 years of followup,the progression-free and overall survival rates in the MWA group were 37.88%and 66.67%,respectively,compared with 44.23%and 76.92%in the laparoscope group,with no significant difference(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The effects of ultrasound-guided percutaneous MWA in the treatment of small liver cancer are similar to those of laparoscopic surgery.However,ablation causes less trauma and liver dysfunction.

文摘Objective:This study aimed to investigate the application value of contrast-enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)before and after minimally invasive ablation procedures for benign thyroid nodule(s)(BTN).Methods:This prospective study included patients with BTNs scheduled to undergo ultrasound-guided minimally invasive ablation treatment.CEUS was performed before and after ablation(at 1 day,and 1,6,and 12 months after ablation).Changes in microvascular perfusion and the volume of BTNs were noted and assessed.Results:Sixty-two patients(62 BTNs),who underwent ablation procedures between June 2016 and August 2020,were included.All lesions were confirmed by biopsy,and histopathological results were obtained before ablation treatment.On preoperative CEUS,the lesions exhibited hyperenhancement(53.23%)or iso-enhancement(46.77%)during the arterial phase,and all lesions exhibited iso-enhancement in the venous and late phases.One day after ablation,none of the BTNs exhibited obvious enhancement on CEUS.One(1.61%)lesion was retreated due to a nodule-like enhancement area detected by CEUS at the 6-month follow-up.The mean nodular volume reduction rate(VRR)at 1,6,and 12 months follow-up demonstrated no significant difference between the two ablation groups(microwave ablation versus radiofrequency ablation).Twelve months after ablation,the mean(±SD)VRR of all BTNs was 60.3±10.3%.Conclusion:CEUS helped guide treatment decisions for BTNs before ablation treatment.Moreover,it could also be used to accurately and noninvasively evaluate treatment efficacy.
