Thereby the availability of natur...Sustainable development is a holistic approach harmonizing ecological, economical and socio-political needs with respect to the superior objective of enhancing human living standards. Thereby the availability of natural resources and the conservation of the ecosystems have to be considered that future generations have the possibility to meet their own needs. A long-term economical development demands the transition from a souree-sink economy to a cycle economy as a result of limited resources, limited environmental capacities to absorb waste and emissions as well as increasing needs of a growing population. A reference model for snstainability in manufacturing is presented and used to illustrate sustainable approaches with respect to management, technology, process and product. Adaptation of products and components is a vital element for supporting efficient reuse of products and components. Consequently adaptation contributes to the ambitions goals of snstainability. Technological enablers for adaptation as modularity, information and communication technology are exemplarily introduced. Moreover, approaches for disseminating knowledge in sustainability are given.展开更多
The unit modular technique is one in which unit modules are prefabricated in a factory and then constructed at a construction site. That is why an important process, transport of unit module, is added in this techniqu...The unit modular technique is one in which unit modules are prefabricated in a factory and then constructed at a construction site. That is why an important process, transport of unit module, is added in this technique. However, it is not easy to transport a unit module that is high prefabrication ratio (prefab. ratio) (70-90%), since the walls and interior and exterior materials installed in it can become broken when the unit module is fixed using general fixation tools, including ropes and fixing belts. When the external wall, windows, etc. are damaged during the transportation, the efficiency of unit modular method is deteriorated. Taking this into account, the purpose of this study is to develop an improved fixation device that is convenient for fixing a unit module with a high prefab, ratio to a vehicle and securing the safety while running. The L-type adapter block proposed in this study was evaluated the structural safety through simulation method. The result of the simulation is that it seems desirable to set the working load of the L-type adapter block as 15 kN for Case 1 and 30 kN for Case 2. Therefore, when the L-type adapter block is utilized under the conditions in which the same load is applied as in Case 2, it is expected that safety will be improved.展开更多
RSA and ellipse curve cryptography(ECC)algorithms are widely used in authentication,data security,and access control.In this paper,we analyze the basic operation of the ECC and RSA algorithms and optimize their modula...RSA and ellipse curve cryptography(ECC)algorithms are widely used in authentication,data security,and access control.In this paper,we analyze the basic operation of the ECC and RSA algorithms and optimize their modular multiplication and modular inversion algorithms.We then propose a reconfigurable modular operation architecture,with a mix-memory unit and double multiply-accumulate structures,to realize our unified,asymmetric cryptosystem structure in an operational unit.Synthesized with 55-nm CMOS process,our design runs at 588 MHz and requires only 437801µm2 of hardware resources.Our proposed design takes 21.92 and 23.36 mW for 2048-bit RSA modular multiplication and modular inversion respectively,as well as 16.16 and 15.88 mW to complete 512-bit ECC dual-field modular multiplication and modular inversion respectively.It is more energy-efficient and flexible than existing single algorithm units.Compared with existing multiple algorithm units,our proposed method shows better performance.The operation unit is embedded in a 64-bit RISC-V processor,realizing key generation,encryption and decryption,and digital signature functions of both RSA and ECC.Our proposed design takes 0.224 and 0.153 ms for 256-bit ECC point multiplication in G(p)and G(2^(m))respectively,as well as 0.96 ms to complete 1024-bit RSA exponentiation,meeting the demand for high energy efficiency.展开更多
