The 'characteristic radius', r0 characterized as the horizontal structure of a tropical cyclone,in which m and p are the parameters of the vortex, has been found by the author. And then it has been shown that there is but one 'characteristic radius' for each cyclone with horizontal structure. Two direct analytic solutions for the uniform and non-uniform basic flows in steady situations are presented with rc Results show that the change in the horizontal structure of the tropical cyclone itself will have obvious effect on the cyclone motion, on both its direction and speed. Therefore it must be considered in the research on the tropical cyclone motion.展开更多

The composition of approximating trajectories illuminating the movement traits discloses the level of movement expertise in dancers and golf players. The method allows estimating the level of movement expertise, drawing the detailed structure of movements, and classifying movements into a given repertoire automatically.展开更多

Attention is focused on the classification of flow with hyperconcentration of sediment, the properties of the Bingham shear stress τB and rigidity coefficient η, the movement mechanism of fluid within flow-core and non-flow-core regions, the shear stress distribution and so on. Several formulae have been proposed to indicate vertical velocity distribution of 2-dimensional steady and uniform turbulent flow with hyperconcentration of fluid. The formulae can be applied either to the flow of the Bingham fluid or to that of the Newtonian fluid.展开更多
