Based on the above research work,the following result has been reached:Task-based approach can promote students' mastering of vocabulary and grammar,and students participate in the class more actively.The author would like to share her experiences with others in pedagogical studies of teaching vocational college students English.展开更多
The question of how to choose a copula model that best fits a given dataset is a predominant limitation of the copula approach, and the present study aims to investigate the techniques of goodness-of-fit tests for mul...The question of how to choose a copula model that best fits a given dataset is a predominant limitation of the copula approach, and the present study aims to investigate the techniques of goodness-of-fit tests for multi-dimensional copulas. A goodness-of-fit test based on Rosenblatt＇s transformation was mathematically expanded from two dimensions to three dimensions and procedures of a bootstrap version of the test were provided. Through stochastic copula simulation, an empirical application of historical drought data at the Lintong Gauge Station shows that the goodness-of-fit tests perform well, revealing that both trivariate Gaussian and Student t copulas are acceptable for modeling the dependence structures of the observed drought duration, severity, and peak. The goodness-of-fit tests for multi-dimensional copulas can provide further support and help a lot in the potential applications of a wider range of copulas to describe the associations of correlated hydrological variables. However, for the application of copulas with the number of dimensions larger than three, more complicated computational efforts as well as exploration and parameterization of corresponding copulas are required.展开更多

The objective of this paper was to identify interventions for malaria control with e...There are several interventions for malaria control in Latin America that are in line with the principles of the Ecohealth approach. The objective of this paper was to identify interventions for malaria control with elements from the Ecohealth approach to evidence guiding elements, limiting and facilitating factors and recommendations for future interventions. A literature search was performed in six databases： Medline, Scopus, Central, IS! Web of Knowledge, Embase and BVS-Lilacs. To complement this information, several researchers were asked to participate in in-depth interviews. Ten articles, 6 reports from 3 IDRC interventions and 1 report of the PAMAFRO project were identified. Interventions included different methodologies to help improve the environment and health of the population. Interviewees coincided in analyzing malaria as a complex disease. They argued about the importance of carrying-out partnerships with various stakeholders in order to achieve sustainability of the interventions. The Ecohealth approach implies dialogue between community and researchers; participation of different disciplines; active participation of the various stakeholders; creation and maintenance of strategic alliances in pursuit of sustainability and scaling up of interventions into public policy.展开更多

It becomes more and more important to connect customer requirements and technical specifications to developa vehicle sound with high quality. The turn indicator sound can be described as one sound, which gives the customer an importantfeedback of correct function performance and can be seen as one of the sounds, which play a role in the customer＇s perception ofvehicle quality. In a laboratory experimental study, the question was investigated, how a turn indicator sound must be designed to beperceived as pleasant and high-quality. A multidimensional approach was chosen to combine subjective customer assessments,objective psychophysiological responses of the study participants and physical parameters of the sounds. In total, 15 different tumindicator sounds were assessed by 48 subjects. The study shows how the connection of subjective and objective parameters cansupport product development. The multi-dimensional approach helps to derive recommendations for action to improve the soundquality of the product automobile. Also, the study shows a possibility to involve the human factor in a highly technical environment.展开更多

In particular, the requirement of such planned housing areas has not matched public service provid...Social imbalance and obsolescence of the built environment has emerged in large sized housing estates in metropolises. In particular, the requirement of such planned housing areas has not matched public service provided by the infrastructure. On not only physical but also social aspect of local communities of this kind of housing area have a lot of problems while it also has a lot of good characteristics. A representative one is that age of the tenants is rising very swiftly and it makes the local community imbalanced. Nowadays many countries including Japan have tackled problems concerning housing estates constructed during the mass housing era and try to search for ways to reactivate so-called new town areas by utilisation of existing environmental resources such as building stock and ample green open space. In Japan many elemental technologies have been developed in order to utilise existing building stock. However, how to combine these technologies and new holistic methods for reactivation are still underdeveloped. Therefore, it is very important to fred these ways and to make a comprehensive plan for rehabilitation of these areas. The first purpose of our study is to develop and clarify how to organise and integrate many kinds of elemental techniques and the holistic measures for the improvement of both social and physical environment in suburban mass housing estates. Subsequently we try to reorganise proper relations between human settlements and the various service provision for those regions. Our last focus is put on searching for new ways to raise the value of existing housing environment. Our conclusion intends to indicate important of the master plan and its execution, where mass housing estates progress for the physical and social improvement.展开更多
