However, an overly finetuned strategy or technique might overfit some problem types, resulting in a lack of versatility. In this article, we propose a generic search strategy that performs an even search in a promising region. The promising region, determined by obtained feasible non-dominated solutions, possesses two general properties.First, the constrained Pareto front(CPF) is included in the promising region. Second, as the number of feasible solutions increases or the convergence performance(i.e., approximation to the CPF) of these solutions improves, the promising region shrinks. Then we develop a new strategy named even search, which utilizes the non-dominated solutions to accelerate convergence and escape from local optima, and the feasible solutions under a constraint relaxation condition to exploit and detect feasible regions. Finally, a diversity measure is adopted to make sure that the individuals in the population evenly cover the valuable areas in the promising region. Experimental results on 45 instances from four benchmark test suites and 14 real-world CMOPs have demonstrated that searching evenly in the promising region can achieve competitive performance and excellent versatility compared to 11 most state-of-the-art methods tailored for CMOPs.展开更多

To overcome this shortcoming, robust design is proposed to find out the optimal profile of an airfoil to maintain its performance in an uncertain environment. The robust airfoil optimization is aimed to minimize mean values and variances of drag coefficients while satisfying the lift and thickness constraints over a range of Mach numbers. A multi-objective estimation of distribution algorithm is applied to the robust airfoil optimization on the base of the RAE2822 benchmark airfoil. The shape of the airfoil is obtained through superposing ten Hick-Henne shape functions upon the benchmark airfoil. A set of design points is selected according to a uniform design table for aerodynamic evaluation. A Kriging model of drag coefficient is constructed with those points to reduce computing costs. Over the Mach range from 0.7 to 0.8, the airfoil generated by the robust optimization has a configuration characterized by supercritical airfoil with low drag coefficients. The small fluctuation in its drag coefficients means that the performance of the robust airfoil is insensitive to variation of Mach number.展开更多

To deal with the optimal design of a redundantly actuated parallel robot used for ankle rehabilitation, a methodology of dimensional synthesis based on multi-objective optimization is presented. First, the dimensional synthesis of the redundant parallel robot is formulated as a nonlinear constrained multi-objective optimization problem. Then four objective functions, separately reflecting occupied space, input/output transmission and torque performances, and multi-criteria constraints, such as dimension, interference and kinematics, are defined. In consideration of the passive exercise of plantar/dorsiflexion requiring large output moment, a torque index is proposed. To cope with the actuation redundancy of the parallel robot, a new output transmission index is defined as well. The multi-objective optimization problem is solved by using a modified Differential Evolution(DE) algorithm, which is characterized by new selection and mutation strategies. Meanwhile, a special penalty method is presented to tackle the multi-criteria constraints. Finally, numerical experiments for different optimization algorithms are implemented. The computation results show that the proposed indices of output transmission and torque, and constraint handling are effective for the redundant parallel robot; the modified DE algorithm is superior to the other tested algorithms, in terms of the ability of global search and the number of non-dominated solutions. The proposed methodology of multi-objective optimization can be also applied to the dimensional synthesis of other redundantly actuated parallel robots only with rotational movements.展开更多

文摘The large-scale multi-objective optimization algorithm(LSMOA),based on the grouping of decision variables,is an advanced method for handling high-dimensional decision variables. However,in practical problems, the interaction among decision variables is intricate, leading to large group sizes and suboptimal optimization effects;hence a large-scale multi-objective optimization algorithm based on weighted overlapping grouping of decision variables(MOEAWOD)is proposed in this paper.Initially, the decision variables are perturbed and categorized into convergence and diversity variables;subsequently, the convergence variables are subdivided into groups based on the interactions among different decision variables. If the size of a group surpasses the set threshold, that group undergoes a process of weighting and overlapping grouping.Specifically, the interaction strength is evaluated based on the interaction frequency and number of objectives among various decision variables. The decision variable with the highest interaction in the group is identified and disregarded, and the remaining variables are then reclassified into subgroups. Finally, the decision variable with the strongest interaction is added to each subgroup.MOEAWOD minimizes the interactivity between different groups and maximizes the interactivity of decision variables within groups, which contributed to the optimized direction of convergence and diversity exploration with different groups.MOEAWOD was subjected to testing on 18 benchmark large-scale optimization problems, and the experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our methods.Compared with the other algorithms, our method is still at an advantage.
文摘Distribution generation(DG)technology based on a variety of renewable energy technologies has developed rapidly.A large number of multi-type DG are connected to the distribution network(DN),resulting in a decline in the stability of DN operation. It is urgent to find a method that can effectively connect multi-energy DG to DN.photovoltaic(PV),wind power generation(WPG),fuel cell(FC),and micro gas turbine(MGT)are considered in this paper.A multi-objective optimization model was established based on the life cycle cost(LCC)of DG,voltage quality, voltage fluctuation, system network loss, power deviation of the tie-line,DG pollution emission index, and meteorological index weight of DN.Multi-objective artificial bee colony algorithm(MOABC)was used to determine the optimal location and capacity of the four kinds of DG access DN,and compared with the other three heuristic algorithms.Simulation tests based on IEEE 33 test node and IEEE 69 test node show that in IEEE 33 test node, the total voltage deviation, voltage fluctuation, and system network loss of DN decreased by 49.67%,7.47%and 48.12%,respectively,compared with that without DG configuration. In the IEEE 69 test node, the total voltage deviation, voltage fluctuation and system network loss of DN in the MOABC configuration scheme decreased by 54.98%,35.93%and 75.17%,respectively,compared with that without DG configuration, indicating that MOABC can reasonably plan the capacity and location of DG.Achieve the maximum trade-off between DG economy and DN operation stability.

文摘In recent years, a large number of approaches to constrained multi-objective optimization problems(CMOPs) have been proposed, focusing on developing tweaked strategies and techniques for handling constraints. Experimental results on 45 instances from four benchmark test suites and 14 real-world CMOPs have demonstrated that searching evenly in the promising region can achieve competitive performance and excellent versatility compared to 11 most state-of-the-art methods tailored for CMOPs.

文摘In this study,we introduce a novel multi-objective optimization model tailored for modern manufacturing, aiming to mitigate the cost impacts of operational disruptions through optimized corrective maintenance.Central to our approach is the strategic placement of maintenance stations and the efficient allocation of personnel, addressing a crucial gap in the integration of maintenance personnel dispatching and station selection. Our model uniquely combines the spatial distribution of machinery with the expertise of operators to achieve a harmonious balance between maintenance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.The core of our methodology is the NSGA Ⅲ+Dispatch,an advanced adaptation of the Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm Ⅲ(NSGA-Ⅲ),meticulously designed for the selection of maintenance stations and effective operator dispatching. This method integrates a comprehensive coding process, crossover operator, and mutation operator to efficiently manage multiple objectives.Rigorous empirical testing, including a detailed analysis from a taiwan region electronic equipment manufacturer, validated the effectiveness of our approach across various scenarios of machine failure frequencies and operator configurations. The findings reveal that the proposed model significantly outperforms current practices by reducing response times by up to 23%in low-frequency and 28.23%in high-frequency machine failure scenarios, leading to notable improvements in efficiency and cost reduction.Additionally,it demonstrates significant improvements in oper-ational efficiency, particularly in selective high-frequency failure contexts, while ensuring substantial manpower cost savings without compromising on operational effectiveness. This research significantly advances maintenance strategies in production environments, providing the manufacturing industry with practical, optimized solutions for diverse machine malfunction situations.Furthermore, the methodologies and principles developed in this study have potential applications in various other sectors, including healthcare, transportation, and energy, where maintenance efficiency and resource optimization are equally critical.

文摘Solving constrained multi-objective optimization problems with evolutionary algorithms has attracted considerable attention.Various constrained multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithms(CMOEAs)have been developed with the use of different algorithmic strategies, evolutionary operators, and constraint-handling techniques. The performance of CMOEAs may be heavily dependent on the operators used, however,it is usually difficult to select suitable operators for the problem at hand.Hence, improving operator selection is promising and necessary for CMOEAs.This work proposes an online operator selection framework assisted by Deep Reinforcement Learning. The dynamics of the population, including convergence, diversity, and feasibility, are regarded as the state;the candidate operators are considered as actions;and the improvement of the population state is treated as the reward.By using a Q-network to learn a policy to estimate the Q-values of all actions, the proposed approach can adaptively select an operator that maximizes the improvement of the population according to the current state and thereby improve the algorithmic performance. The framework is embedded into four popular CMOEAs and assessed on 42 benchmark problems. The experimental results reveal that the proposed Deep Reinforcement Learning-assisted operator selection significantly improves the performance of these CMOEAs and the resulting algorithm obtains better versatility compared to nine state-of-the-art CMOEAs.

文摘High-brightness electron beams are required to drive LINAC-based free-electron lasers(FELs)and storage-ring-based synchrotron radiation light sources. The bunch charge and RMS bunch length at the exit of the LINAC play a crucial role in the peak current;the minimum transverse emittance is mainly determined by the injector of the LINAC.Thus,a photoin-jector with a high bunch charge and low emittance that can simultaneously provide high-quality beams for 4th generation synchrotron radiation sources and FELs is desirable. The design of a 1.6-cell S-band 2998-MHz RF gun and beam dynamics optimization of a relevant beamline are presented in this paper.Beam dynamics simulations were performed by combining ASTRA and the multi-objective genetic algorithm NSGA II.The effects of the laser pulse shape,half-cell length of the RF gun,and RF parameters on the output beam quality were analyzed and compared. The normalized transverse emittance was optimized to be as low as 0.65 and 0.92 mm·mrad when the bunch charge was as high as 1 and 2 nC,respectively. Finally, the beam stability properties of the photoinjector, considering misalignment and RF jitter, were simulated and analyzed.

文摘Tourism route planning is widely applied in the smart tourism field. The Pareto-optimal front obtained by the traditional multi-objective evolutionary algorithm exhibits long tails, sharp peaks and disconnected regions problems, which leads to uneven distribution and weak diversity of optimization solutions of tourism routes.Inspired by these limitations,we propose a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm for tourism route recommendation(MOTRR)with two-stage and Pareto layering based on decomposition. The method decomposes the multiobjective problem into several subproblems, and improves the distribution of solutions through a two-stage method. The crowding degree mechanism between extreme and intermediate populations is used in the two-stage method. The neighborhood is determined according to the weight of the subproblem for crossover mutation. Finally,Pareto layering is used to improve the updating efficiency and population diversity of the solution. The two-stage method is combined with the Pareto layering structure, which not only maintains the distribution and diversity of the algorithm, but also avoids the same solutions.Compared with several classical benchmark algorithms, the experimental results demonstrate competitive advantages on five test functions, hypervolume(HV)and inverted generational distance(IGD)metrics.Using the experimental results of real scenic spot datasets from two famous tourism social networking sites with vast amounts of users and large-scale online comments in Beijing, our proposed algorithm shows better distribution. It proves that the tourism routes recommended by our proposed algorithm have better distribution and diversity,so that the recommended routes can better meet the personalized needs of tourists.

文摘A transonic airfoil designed by means of classical point-optimization may result in its dramatically inferior performance under off-design conditions. The small fluctuation in its drag coefficients means that the performance of the robust airfoil is insensitive to variation of Mach number.

文摘The intelligent optimization of a multi-objective evolutionary algorithm is combined with a gradient algorithm. The hybrid multi-objective gradient algorithm is framed by the real number. Test functions are used to analyze the efficiency of the algorithm. In the simulation case of the water phantom, the algorithm is applied to an inverse planning process of intensity modulated radiation treatment (IMRT). The objective functions of planning target volume (PTV) and normal tissue (NT) are based on the average dose distribution. The obtained intensity profile shows that the hybrid multi-objective gradient algorithm saves the computational time and has good accuracy, thus meeting the requirements of practical applications.

文摘Dimensional synthesis is one of the most difficult issues in the field of parallel robots with actuation redundancy. The proposed methodology of multi-objective optimization can be also applied to the dimensional synthesis of other redundantly actuated parallel robots only with rotational movements.

文摘As two independent problems, scheduling for parts fabrication line and sequencing for mixed-model assembly line have been addressed respectively by many researchers. However, these two problems should be considered simultaneously to improve the efficiency of the whole fabrication/assembly systems.By far, little research effort is devoted to sequencing problems for mixed-model fabrication/assembly systems. This paper is concerned about the sequencing problems in pull production systems which are composed of one mixed-model assembly line with limited intermediate buffers and two flexible parts fabrication flow lines with identical parallel machines and limited intermediate buffers. Two objectives are considered simultaneously:minimizing the total variation in parts consumption in the assembly line and minimizing the total makespan cost in the fabrication/assembly system. The integrated optimization framework, mathematical models and the method to construct the complete schedules for the fabrication lines according to the production sequences for the first stage in fabrication lines are presented.Since the above problems are non-deterministic polynomial-hard(NP-hard),a modified multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed for solving the models,in which a method to generate the production sequences for the fabrication lines from the production sequences for the assembly line and a method to generate the initial population are put forward, new selection, crossover and mutation operators are designed, and Pareto ranking method and sharing function method are employed to evaluate the individuals' fitness. The feasibility and efficiency of the multi-objective genetic algorithm is shown by computational comparison with a multi-objective simulated annealing algorithm. The sequencing problems for mixed-model production systems can be solved effectively by the proposed modified multi-objective genetic algorithm.
