When a new user accesses the CDMA system, the load will change drastically, and therefore, the advanced outer loop power control (OLPC) technology has to be adopted to enrich the target signal interference ratio (Silt) and improve the system performance. The existing problems about DS-CDMA outer loop power control for multi-service are introduced and the power control theoretical model is analyzed. System simulation is adopted on how to obtain the theoretical performance and parameter optimization of the power control algorithm. The OLPC algorithm is improved and the performance comparisons between the old algorithm and the improved algorithm are given. The results show good performance of the improved OLPC algorithm and prove the validity of the improved method for multi-service. 展开更多

Providing the required metrics for different service respectively is a basic characteristic in multi-service networks. The different service can be accessed and forwarded differently to provide the different transmission performance. The state information between admission control and scheduling can be exchanged each other by the defined correlation coefficient to adjust the flow distribution in progress. The priority queue length measured by scheduler implicitly can describe the priority flows load. And the fair rate can describe the non-priority flows load. Different admission decision will be made according to the state of scheduler to assure the time-delay upper threshold for the priority flows under heavy load and the fairness for elastic flows in light load, respectively. The stability condition was conduced and proved. Simulation results show the policy can ensure both the delay for the priority flows and the minimal throughput for non-priority flows. 展开更多

The IP-based networks on aircraft serve to support Intemet services via satellites. However, in aeronautical satellite hybrid networks, the TCP protocol performance often deteriorates due to improper decreases and slow recovery of the congestion window. This paper proposes a window size determination and notification mechanism, onboard-gateway-based mechanism (OGBM), which is based on the onboard gateway in the networks on aircraft. A cross-layer approach is adopted by the onboard gateway to obtain the satellite link bandwidth information. And then, by the gateway, through changing the receiver's advertised window field in ACK packets, TCP sources are notified of the window size of each TCP source calculated on the ground of bandwidth delay product and flow numbers. The mechanism is able to avoid improper changes of TCP window and serve multiple users. Simulation results show that the mechanism with the fairness index close to l improves TCP performance in aeronautical satellite networks. 展开更多

It also studies IPv6 transition technical problems facing home gateways and gives the summaries to the main protocol of each node of home network and their mutual relations. The key nodes of the home network based on IPv6, including the hardware design and software design of the home gateway and home network controller, are systematically de-signed in the paper. Finally, it illustrates the actual test environment and test in detail. The paper gives a view of the fact that the intelligent home appliances are becoming the current trend with the accelerating the transition of IPv4 to IPv6 and home network-wide implementation of IPv6 is about to become a reality, holding that the network controllers and home gateway based on ARM processor can support IPv6 and carry on the implementation of remote control and local control based on Web Browser. 展开更多

Aiming at the weaknesses of LON bus, combining the coexistence of fieldbus and DCS (Distribu ted Control Systems) in control networks, the authors introduce a hierarchical hybrid control network design based on LON and master slave RS 422/485 protocol. This design adopts LON as the trunk, master slave RS 422/485 control networks are connected to LON as special subnets by dedicated gateways. It is an implementation method for isomerous control network integration. Data management is ranked according to real time requirements for different network data. The core components, such as control network nodes, router and gateway, are detailed in the paper. The design utilizes both communication advantage of LonWorks technology and the more powerful control ability of universal MCUs or PLCs, thus it greatly increases system response speed and performance cost ratio. 展开更多

An efficient performance enhancing scheme is proposed. The improvement of TCP performance over satellite-based Interuet is accomplished by protocol transition gateways at each end of a satellite link. The protocol which runs over a satellite link executes the receiver-driven flow control and acknowledgements- and timeouts-based error control strategies. The validity of this TCP performance enhancing scheme is verified by a series of simulation experiments. Results show that the proposed scheme can efficiently enhance the TCP performance over satellite-based Internet and ensure that the available bandwidth resources of the satellite link are fully utilized. 展开更多
