To address the scheduling problem involving energy storage systems and uncertain energy,we propose a method based on multi-stage robust optimization.This approach aims to regulate the energy storage system by using a multi-stage robust optimal control method,which helps overcome the limitations of traditional methods in terms of time scale.The goal is to effectively utilize the energy storage power station system to address issues caused by unpredictable variations in environmental energy and fluctuating load throughout the day.To achieve this,a mathematical model is constructed to represent uncertain energy sources such as photovoltaic and wind power.The generalized Benders Decomposition method is then employed to solve the multi-stage objective optimization problem.By decomposing the problem into a series of sub-objectives,the system scale is effectively reduced,and the algorithm’s convergence ability is improved.Compared with other algorithms,the multi-stage robust optimization model has better economy and convergence ability and can be used to guide the power dispatching of uncertain energy and energy storage systems. 展开更多

With the increasing penetration of wind and solar energies,the accompanying uncertainty that propagates in the system places higher requirements on the expansion planning of power systems.A source-grid-load-storage coordinated expansion planning model based on stochastic programming was proposed to suppress the impact of wind and solar energy fluctuations.Multiple types of system components,including demand response service entities,converter stations,DC transmission systems,cascade hydropower stations,and other traditional components,have been extensively modeled.Moreover,energy storage systems are considered to improve the accommodation level of renewable energy and alleviate the influence of intermittence.Demand-response service entities from the load side are used to reduce and move the demand during peak load periods.The uncertainties in wind,solar energy,and loads were simulated using stochastic programming.Finally,the effectiveness of the proposed model is verified through numerical simulations. 展开更多

Coordinated restoration optimization of power-gas integrated energy system with mobile emergency sources

In an integrated energy system(IES) composed of multiple subsystems, energy coupling causes an energy supply blockage or shutdown in one subsystem, thereby affecting the energy flow distribution optimization of other subsystems.The energy supply should be globally optimized during the IES energy supply restoration process to produce the highest restoration net income. Mobile emergency sources can be quickly and flexibly connected to supply energy after an energy outage to ensure a reliable supply to the system, which adds complexity to the decision. This study focuses on a powergas IES with mobile emergency sources and analyzes the coupling relationship between the gas distribution system and the power distribution system in terms of sources, networks, and loads, and the influence of mobile emergency source transportation. The influence of the transient process caused by the restoration operation of the gas distribution system on the power distribution system is also discussed. An optimization model for power-gas IES restoration was established with the objective of maximizing the net income. The coordinated restoration optimization decision-making process was also built to realize the decoupling iteration of the power-gas IES, including system status recognition, mobile emergency source dispatching optimization, gas-to-power gas flow optimization, and parallel intra-partition restoration scheme optimization for both the power and gas distribution systems. A simulation test power-gas IES consisting of an 81-node medium-voltage power distribution network, an 89-node medium-pressure gas distribution network, and four mobile emergency sources was constructed. The simulation analysis verified the efficiency of the proposed coordinated restoration optimization method. 展开更多

Given the“double carbon”objective and the drive toward low-carbon power,investigating the integration and interaction within the carbon-electricity market can enhance renewable energy utilization and facilitate energy conservation and emission reduction endeavors.However,further research is necessary to explore operational optimization methods for establishing a regional energy system using Power-to-Hydrogen(P2H)technology,focusing on participating in combined carbon-electricity market transactions.This study introduces an innovative Electro-Hydrogen Regional Energy System(EHRES)in this context.This system integrates renewable energy sources,a P2H system,cogeneration units,and energy storage devices.The core purpose of this integration is to optimize renewable energy utilization and minimize carbon emissions.This study aims to formulate an optimal operational strategy for EHRES,enabling its dynamic engagement in carbon-electricity market transactions.The initial phase entails establishing the technological framework of the electricity-hydrogen coupling system integrated with P2H.Subsequently,an analysis is conducted to examine the operational mode of EHRES as it participates in carbon-electricity market transactions.Additionally,the system scheduling model includes a stepped carbon trading price mechanism,considering the combined heat and power generation characteristics of the Hydrogen Fuel Cell(HFC).This facilitates the establishment of an optimal operational model for EHRES,aiming to minimize the overall operating cost.The simulation example illustrates that the coordinated operation of EHRES in carbon-electricity market transactions holds the potential to improve renewable energy utilization and reduce the overall system cost.This result carries significant implications for attaining advantages in both low-carbon and economic aspects. 展开更多

Signal Coordination for Saving Energy and Reducing Congestion Using TRANSYT-7F Model and Its Application in Gaza City

Almost 100% of the energy used for propelling transport vehicles is derived from petroleum resources. In Gaza Strip and West Bank, transportation consumes about 60% of the total amount of imported fuel. The traffic congestion has a negative impact significantly on the environment because of the increased amount of fuel consumption and thus emissions of pollutants from vehicles. Serious traffic congestion is concentrated in the middle part of Gaza City, especially in major arterial roads such as Eljalaa Road. The congestion comes into view clearly in the segment of the street which consists of 5 consecutive signalized intersections. What makes the congestion even worse is the non-efficient traffic signal control;where each intersection is treated in isolation. The key solution to reduce the congestion and to save energy is to use signal coordination. Therefore, this study aims to redesign and coordinate the traffic signals along Eljalaa road using TRANSYT-7F Model. It aims also to compare between the traffic performance and the fuel consumption of the coordinated signals and the existing uncoordinated ones. The analysis and design are based on geometric data and manual traffic count. The results of comparison show a remarkable improvement of the traffic performance and energy saving of the studied area. There was a reduction of travel time, delay, stops and fuel consumption by 44%, 56%, 25% and 31% respectively. The level of service has been improved from F to D. Thus, it is recommended that signal coordination should be carried out at all arterial roads in Gaza city. 展开更多

The increasing penetration of renewable energy into power grids is reducing the regulation capacity of automatic generation control(AGC).Thus,there is an urgent demand to coordinate AGC units with active equipment such as energy storage.Current dispatch decision-making methods often ignore the intermittent effects of renewable energy.This paper proposes a two-stage robust optimization model in which energy storage is used to compensate for the intermittency of renewable energy for the dispatch of AGC units.This model exploits the rapid adjustment capability of energy storage to compensate for the slow response speed of AGC units,improve the adjustment potential,and respond to the problems of intermittent power generation from renewable energy.A column and constraint generation algorithm is used to solve the model.In an example analysis,the proposed model was more robust than a model that did not consider energy storage at eliminating the effects of intermittency while offering clear improvements in economy and efficiency. 展开更多

In this paper,various aberrations have been analyzed.Not only the effects of aberration on geometrical center position are taken into account,but also the deviation of displayed star position energy center caused by aberration is analyzed.These two aspects have been taken into comprehensive evaluation and star position correction.The correction method based on polar coordinates is proposed,and cumbersome partition correction and calculated quantity based on two-dimensional coordinates can be simplified.The experimental results show that the correction processing based on polar coordinates is simpler and easier compared with any other correction methods.In addition,the correction results are significantly more accurate. 展开更多

Such application eliminates interpolation error and avoids errors in virtual weather systems in mountainous areas. By simulating the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and optical spectra on the basis of the 120 × 120 complete energy matrix, this paper determines the local lattice structure parameters R1 and R2 for MCl:V2+ (M=Na, K, Rb) systems at 77K, 195 K and RT (room temperature 295 K or 302 K), respectively. The theoretical results indicate that there exists a compressed distortion in MCl:V2+ systems. Meanwhile, it finds that the structure parameters R1, R2 and |△R|( = R1 - R2) increase with the rising temperature. Subsequently, from the analysis it concludes that the relation of EPR parameter D vs. △R is approximately linear. Finally, the effects of orbital reduction factor k on the g factors for the three systems have been discussed. 展开更多

The results are shown that the short circuit current from substation is reduced comparing to the distribution system without DG connected. Wireless sensor actor networks are composed of sensor and actor nodes wherein sensor nodes outnumber resource-rich actor nodes. Sensor nodes gather information and send them to a central node (sink) and/or to actors for proper actions. The short lifetime of energy-constrained sensor nodes can endanger the proper operation of the whole network when they run out of power and partition the network. Energy harvesting as well as minimizing sensor energy consumption had already been studied. We propose a different approach for recharging sensor nodes by mobile actor nodes that use only local information. Sensor nodes send their energy status along with their sensed information to actors in their coverage. Based on this energy information, actors coordinate implicitly to decide on the timings and the ordering of recharges of low energy sensor nodes. Coordination between actors is achieved by swarm intelligence and the replenishment continues during local learning of actor nodes. The number of actors required to keep up such networks is identified through simulation using VisualSense. It is shown that defining the appropriate number of actor nodes is critical to the success of recharging strategies in prolonging the network lifetime. 展开更多

The utilization of renewable energy in sending-end power grids is increasing rapidly,which brings difficulties to voltage control.This paper proposes a coordinated voltage control strategy based on model predictive control(MPC)for the renewable energy power plants of wind and solar power connected to a weak sending-end power grid(WSPG).Wind turbine generators(WTGs),photovoltaic arrays(PVAs),and a static synchronous compensator are coordinated to maintain voltage within a feasible range during operation.This results in the full use of the reactive power capability of WTGs and PVAs.In addition,the impact of the active power outputs of WTGs and PVAs on voltage control are considered because of the high R/X ratio of a collector system.An analytical method is used for calculating sensitivity coefficients to improve computation efficiency.A renewable energy power plant with 80 WTGs and 20 PVAs connected to a WSPG is used to verify the proposed voltage control strategy.Case studies show that the coordinated voltage control strategy can achieve good voltage control performance,which improves the voltage quality of the entire power plant. 展开更多

Modern power systems are typically characterized with renewable energies and smart grids.Their developments should be kept at a compatible pace with each other.According to the different structures of the power industry,such as generation,transmission,distribution,consumption and dispatching,a comprehensive evaluation system for coordinated development of renewable energy and smart grid in"3 levels,4 sections,15 targets"is created.The index system of coordinated development is important to determine the priorities and key areas in smart grids and renewable energies.By the index system of coordinated development,this paper evaluates the status of renewable energy and grid development,and their degree of coordination in China.A quantitative evaluation method to determine the level of coordination between China's renewable energies and smart grids is developed.The total and component coordination levels in China are calculated by an analytic hierarchy process.In conclusion,the degree of coordination in transmission and dispatching is higher, but the extent of electricity consumption is lowest.Therefore,the consumption section should be the first to develop within China. 展开更多

The networking of microgrids has received significant attention in the form of a smart grid.In this paper,a set of smart railway stations,which is assumed as microgrids,is connected together.It has been tried to manage the energy exchanged between the networked microgrids to reduce received energy from the utility grid.Also,the operational costs of stations under various conditions decrease by applying the proposed method.The smart railway stations are studied in the presence of photovoltaic(PV)units,energy storage systems(ESSs),and regenerative braking strategies.Studying regenerative braking is one of the essential contributions.Moreover,the stochastic behaviors of the ESS’s initial state of energy and the uncertainty of PV power generation are taken into account through a scenario-based method.The networked microgrid scheme of railway stations(based on coordinated operation and scheduling)and independent operation of railway stations are studied.The proposed method is applied to realistic case studies,including three stations of Line 3 of Tehran Urban and Suburban Railway Operation Company(TUSROC).The rolling stock is simulated in the MATLAB environment.Thus,the coordinated operation of networked microgrids and independent operation of railway stations are optimized in the GAMS environment utilizing mixed-integer linear programming(MILP). 展开更多

传统能源系统互相独立、欠缺联动,容易导致能量的浪费,并且能源结构也难以优化。区域综合能源系统具备多能互补、高效利用的优点,是提高能源利用效率和环保性的重要改进技术。为了利用垃圾蕴含的能量和电动汽车负载端的能源消纳,文中建... 传统能源系统互相独立、欠缺联动,容易导致能量的浪费,并且能源结构也难以优化。区域综合能源系统具备多能互补、高效利用的优点,是提高能源利用效率和环保性的重要改进技术。为了利用垃圾蕴含的能量和电动汽车负载端的能源消纳,文中建立一个考虑垃圾焚烧和电动汽车负载的区域综合能源系统模型,利用模型进行系统的优化调度研究。论文分析了系统内的多能源能量流通关系,而后对系统内的各种能源转换设备及电动汽车进行分析,引入垃圾能源化处理,将热能转化为电能,并利用电动汽车进行电能消纳的模式,得出区域综合能源系统的能源效益最大化的模型。通过python进行算例分析,结果表明,含垃圾处理和电动汽车参与的区域综合能源系统既能提高能源的利用效率,又能带来更优的经济效益。 展开更多

[目的]探讨黄河流域水—能源—粮食系统的耦合协调时空演化特征,可为定量评估流域高质量发展和区域可持续发展提供科学依据。[方法]通过耦合协调度模型分析水—能源—粮食系统的综合发展水平和耦合协调特征,并利用灰色关联度对各子系统内部指标进行排序,进而判断对水—能源—粮食系统耦合协调度的影响程度。[结果](1)黄河流域水—能源—粮食系统的综合发展指数呈上升趋势,水资源子系统波动幅度最大。(2) 2000—2020年黄河流域水—能源—粮食系统耦合协调度从初级协调向良好协调阶段发展;不同省区间的系统耦合协调发展水平差异较为明显,整体上可表现为上游地区>中下游地区。(3)各子系统与系统耦合协调度的影响程度排名可表示为水资源子系统>粮食子系统>能源子系统,其中水资源子系统内部指标与系统耦合协调度关联度均在85%以上,水资源子系统相对其他子系统的严格管理尤为重要。[结论]水—能源—粮食系统的耦合协调发展水平有待提高,为促进系统协调发展和流域高质量发展应综合考虑各子系统的相互作用关系。 展开更多
