Study of energy-efficient heat resistance and cooling technology for high temperature working face with multiple heat sources in deep mine

In the present research,we proposed a scheme to address the issues of severe heat damage,high energy consumption,low cooling system efficiency,and wastage of cold capacity in mines.To elucidate the seasonal variations of environmental temperature through field measurements,we selected a high-temperature working face in a deep mine as our engineering background.To enhance the heat damage control cability of the working face and minimize unnecessary cooling capac-ity loss,we introduced the multi-dimensional heat hazard prevention and control method called"Heat source barrier and cooling equipment".First,we utilize shotcrete and liquid nitrogen injection to eliminate the heat source and implemented pressure equalization ventilation to disrupt the heat transfer path,thereby creating a heat barrier.Second,we establish divi-sional prediction models for airflow temperature based on the variation patterns obtained through numerical simulation.Third,we devise the location and dynamic control strategy for the cooling equipment based on the prediction models.The results of field application show that the heat resistance and cooling linkage method comply with the safety requirement throughout the entire mining cycle while effectively reducing energy consumption.The ambient temperature is maintained below 30℃,resulting in the energy saving of 10%during the high-temperature period and over 50%during the low-temperature period.These findings serve as a valuable reference for managing heat damage in high-temperature working faces. 展开更多

Kerogen Kinetic Distributions and Simulations Provide Insights into Petroleum Transformation Fraction (TF) Profiles of Organic-Rich Shales

Two hundred and fifty single first-order Arrhenius reactions are simulated to generate S2 pyrograms at three heating rates 25,15,and 5°C·min-1.The activation energy(E)and pre-exponential factor(A)of the reactions simulated follow a long-established trend of those variable values displayed by shales and kerogens.The characteristics of the transformation fraction(TF)profiles(product generation window temperatures)of the simulated single reactions are compared to the TF profiles of recorded shale pyrograms generated by multiple reactions with different E-A values lying near the defined E-A trend.Important similarities and differences are observed between the TF profile values of the two datasets.The similarities support the spread of E-A values involved in shale pyrogram best fits.The differences are most likely explained by the complexity of the multiple kerogen first-order and second-order reactions contributing to the recorded shale pyrograms versus the simplicity and crispness of the single first-order reactions simulated.The results also justify the validity of using the previously described“variable E-A pyrogram-fitting method”of multi-heating-rate shale pyrograms enabling optimizers to choose multiple reactions from an unlimited range of E-A values.In contrast,further doubt is cast on the validity of the constant-A pyrogram-fitting method used by the Easy%Ro technique,in that a distribution of reactions with a single A value is unlikely to represent the complex variety of kerogen macerals observed in shale formations.TF profiles generated by the variable E-A pyrogram-fitting method lie close to the established E-A trend and are likely to provide more realistic TF generation window temperatures than TF profiles generated by the constant-A pyrogram-fitting method. 展开更多

Inverse determination of multiple heat sources’ release history in indoor environments

The heat source of an air-conditioned room has an important effect on the indoor environment. The release rates of heat sources are related to the comfort of the designed thermal environment, so they must be determined. Traditional design methods rely on iterative guess-and-correct, which consumes resources and time and cannot meet the needs of modern design. This study aims to establish an inverse model of Tikhonov regularization and least square optimization by using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), so that researchers can accurately determine the time release rate of multiple heat sources with known parameters. The temporal release rates can then be solved based on the inverse matrix operation with the temperature series at different discrete times. The study speeds up the solving process and expresses the temperature as the convolution integral between the temperature response of the thermal response factor and the arbitrary release rate. The results show that applying the above method to the quantization of the temporal release rates of three heat sources in a three-dimensional cavity can correctly determine the temporal release rates of multiple heat sources. The errors between the inversely determined release rates and the actual release rates are less than 40%. 展开更多

It is of great significance to investigate effect of multiple heat treatments on fracture property of centrifugal casting stainless steels Z3CN20.09M cut from pump casing with long-term thermal aging degradation for nuclear power plants to consider actual operation of nuclear power plants.Both multiple heat treatments and accelerated thermal aging experiment at the same temperature of 400℃ for different time were successively carried out on centrifugal casting stainless steels Z3CN20.09M in order to examine the metallographic modification and impact properties.Finally,an additional investigation on the related fracture properties was carried out,in which the critical initial fracture toughness Ji was determined by stretch zone width and 0.2 mm offset line methods.These results indicated that the multiple heat treatments led to the dispersed distribution of ferrite phases in austenite matrix and thus microhardness increased,but impact energy exhibited a decreasing tendency significantly.After long-term aging,the metallographic structure remained almost unchanged,but the size of ferrite phases showed a slight increasing trend because of spinodal decomposition in ferrite phases and G-phase precipitation.In addition,centrifugal casting stainless steels Z3CN20.09M with multiple heat treatments exhibited the higher microhardness,Charpy impact toughness,critical initial fracture toughness J_(IC)(J-integral determined by 0.2 mm offset line method),and J_(SZW)(J-integral determined by stretch zone width method)than those with primary heat treatment,while the specific number of the heat treatment had a low influence on fracture toughness. 展开更多

The accurate analyses for a plate fin heat sink with the ability to control the temperature of the avionics devices within a pre-set controllable temperature range are required both in the process of circuit design and for the real-time temperature monitoring purposes. In order to provide an insight into the behavior of the temperature of a plate fin heat sink subjected non-uniform heat density on the surfaces, it is necessary to obtain accurate analytical solutions yielding explicit formulas relating the dissipated power to the temperature rise at any point of avionics devices. This paper presents a method for thermal simulation of a plate fin heat sink using an analytical solution of the three-dimensional heat equation resulting from an appropriate plate fin heat sink transient thermal model. The entire solution methodology is illustrated in detail on the particular examples of the plate fin heat sink subjected non-uniform heat density on the surfaces. The transient temperature profiles are obtained for different positions at the surface of the plate fin heat sink. The analytical results are compared with measurements made on the surface of the cold plate and it is found that they are in good agreement with an error of less than 3 K. 展开更多
