Nanoparticles, due to their specific attributes, have garnered considerable attention in combating COVID-19. Strategies employing nanomaterials for COVID-19 prevention encompass the development of rapid, precise diagnostic tools, the creation of effective disinfectants, the delivery of mRNA vaccines to the biological system, and the administration of antiretroviral medications within the body. This article focuses on recent research regarding the effectiveness of nano platforms as antiviral measures against coronaviruses. It delves into the molecular characteristics of coronaviruses and the affected target systems, highlighting challenges and limitations in combating SARS-CoV-2. Modification of Nano-α-Al2O3 and Its Influence on the Surface Properties of Waterborne Polyurethane Resin Composite Passivation Films

Silane coupling agent KH560 was used to modify the surface of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> in ethanol-aqueous solution with different proportions. The particle size of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> was determined by nano-particle size analyzer, and the effects of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> content, ethanol-aqueous solution ratio and KH560 dosage on the dispersion and particle size of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> were investigated. The material structure before and after modification was determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Aqueous polyurethane resin and inorganic components are combined with modified nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> dispersion to form chromium-free passivation solution. The solution is coated on the galvanized sheet, the adhesion and surface hardness are tested, the bonding strength of the coating and the surface hardness of the substrate are discussed. The corrosion resistance and surface morphology of the matrix were investigated by electrochemical test, neutral salt spray test and scanning electron microscope test. The chromium-free passivation film formed after the modification of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> increases the surface hardness of galvanized sheet by about 85%. The corrosion resistance of the film is better than that of a single polyurethane film. The results show that the surface hardness and corrosion resistance of polyurethane resin composite passivation film are significantly improved by the introduction of nano-α-Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub>. 展开更多

POB改性Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE复合材料的摩擦转移特性研究

为了研究填充聚苯酯(POB)对Nano–SiO_(2)改性聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)复合材料转移膜演化及摩擦性能的影响,采用冷压成型、热烧结的工艺方法制备Nano–SiO_(2)/POB–PTFE和Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE两种复合材料;采用间歇称重法和原位观察法,在LSR... 为了研究填充聚苯酯(POB)对Nano–SiO_(2)改性聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)复合材料转移膜演化及摩擦性能的影响,采用冷压成型、热烧结的工艺方法制备Nano–SiO_(2)/POB–PTFE和Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE两种复合材料;采用间歇称重法和原位观察法,在LSR–2M型往复摩擦磨损试验机上进行干摩擦试验;利用AXIO Imager.A2m光学显微镜、QUANTA FEG 450热场发射扫描电镜和MicroXAM–800非接触式3维表面轮廓仪分别表征转移膜的表面形貌、微观结构和3维形貌,从微观角度分析摩擦转移机理。试验结果表明,Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE复合材料的转移膜在对偶表面上形貌变化较快,不断重复“生成–脱落”过程,并伴随严重磨损,且没有形成较完整的转移膜。此外,生成的转移膜分层明显,且脱落痕迹显著,并有大量米粒状的磨屑附在对偶面上,导致反光性较差。而用POB填充Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE复合材料不仅增强了转移膜在对偶表面上的黏附力,还促进了均匀、连续转移膜的更好形成,对偶表面反光性好;并且,Nano–SiO_(2)/POB–PTFE复合材料的磨损率较Nano–SiO_(2)/PTFE复合材料降低了两个数量级。POB有强黏附性,而Nano–SiO_(2)在摩擦过程中易嵌入对偶面形成机械互锁,故这两种填料共同改性PTFE可形成协同减磨效应,从而有效促进复合材料转移膜的均匀生成及稳固黏附,并大幅降低磨损率。本文的研究结论对斯特林发动机活塞环干摩擦密封材料的研制有良好的指导意义,有利于碟式太阳能热发电系统高性能密封件的研发。 展开更多

通过挤出共混法将低导热系数的纳米二氧化硅(nano-SiO2)添加到乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物(EVA)中,制备了用于透明隔热型夹层玻璃中间膜的EVA/nano-SiO2隔热复合材料。系统地研究了nano-SiO2的含量和比表面积对EVA/nano-SiO2复合材料的隔热... 通过挤出共混法将低导热系数的纳米二氧化硅(nano-SiO2)添加到乙烯-乙酸乙烯酯共聚物(EVA)中,制备了用于透明隔热型夹层玻璃中间膜的EVA/nano-SiO2隔热复合材料。系统地研究了nano-SiO2的含量和比表面积对EVA/nano-SiO2复合材料的隔热性能、拉伸性能、可见光透过率以及热稳定性的影响,并考察了复合材料与玻璃之间的黏合强度。结果表明,nano-SiO2作为隔热添加剂,其含量和比表面积的增加均会使EVA/nano-SiO2复合材料的导热系数下降,隔热性能得到改善。与未改性EVA相比,含9.0%nano-SiO2(比表面积为300 m2/g)的EVA/nano-SiO2复合材料的导热系数最低,为0.219 9 W/(m.K);用其胶膜夹在两块玻璃中间制作的盖板能使隔热箱内的温度降低4.1℃。nano-SiO2的质量分数在3.8%~9.0%范围内,EVA/nano-SiO2复合材料与玻璃的黏合强度均大于30 N/cm;nano-SiO2质量分数为5.6%左右,复合材料的黏合强度、拉伸强度和断裂伸长率均出现最大值,可见光透过率约为80%。 展开更多

TEM was performed to measure particle sizes. Nitrogenadsorption experiments were carried out to estimate specific surface area, porous distribution and porous ratio by BETand BJH methods. The content of Si-OH in SiO_2 surface was calculated by analysis of the results of hydrogen-oxygencontent mensuration (HOCM). As a result, appropriate heat treatment system and ball milling time are important topreparation for nano-SiO_2 with high activity and mesopores, which are 5~50 nm particles, 5~6 nm average aperture,85%~93% porous ratio, and 51%~55% Si-OH content in surface. Nano-SiO_2 with that structure has high surfaceenergy and activity. This process, which has simple facilities and operation rules, is a new way of preparation fornano-SiO_2 with high activity and mesopores. 展开更多

The pozzolanic activity of nano-SiO2 and silica fume was comparatirely stndied by X-ray diffraction ( XRD ) , differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron micrascopy (SEM) and the compressive , bond and bending streugths of hardened paste and concrete were also measured. Results indicate that the compressive strength development of the paste made from Ca(OH)2 and nano-SiO2, the reaction rate of Ca( OH)2 with nano- SiO2 and the velocity of C-S-H gel formation from Ca ( OH)2 with nano-SiO2 showed marked increases over those of Ca( OH)2 with silica fume. Furthermore, the bond strength at the interface between aggregate and hardened cement paste, and the bending strength of concrete incorporated with 3% .NS increased more than those with SF, especially at early ages. To sum up, the pozzolanic activity of nano-SiO2 was much greater than that of silica fume. The results suggest that with a small amount of nano-SiO2, the Ca( OH)2 crystal at the interface between hardened cement paste and aggregate at early ages may be effectively absorbed in high performance concrete. 展开更多

XRD patterns indicate that the samples show an amorphous matrix structure, and the SEM patterns show that the samples present a multi-hole loosen structure, and a rod structure after high-temperature annealling treatment (800 ℃) for 3 h. Raman spectra demonstrate that Y3+ and Eu3+ ions were incorporated into the composites successfully through the sol-gel and post-anneal process. Under the excitation of 387 nm (7F0→5G2) violet light (but not 394 nm (7F0→5L6)), the strongest emission spectrum, the red light, was observed at around 616 nm (5D0→7F2) when the samples were re-treated by annealing at high temperature after 3 months laying aside. Without annealing treatment, the optimized doping mole ratio of Eu ions is about 9%, which is much higher than that doped in SiOglass with the concentration of 3.5%, and it then becomes 5% when the samples are treated by high temperature annealing. In addition, the excitation of 532 nm (7F0→5D1) light can also arouse a comparatively strong emission. 展开更多

The present status and development trends of nano-composite coatings were briefly introduced. The nano-SiO2 was dispersed into crylic acid resin by ultrasonic wave and high-energy ball milling, the influence of nano-SiO2 on shielding property of coatings was investigated. Relation between particle size distribution of original nano-SiO2 and its dispersal in water and alcohol after treatment were analyzed, respectively. The ultraviolet permeation rate of coatings filled with nano-SiO2 was detected by ultraviolet spectral photometer. And the particle size distribution of coatings was examined by TEM. The results show that particle size distribution is comparative convergence and smaller one order of magnitude after dispersal treatment. The size of most nano-SiO2 in coatings is smaller than 100nm, which indicates that the amount of nano-SiO2 in the resin is 20% (solid content of resin), the permeation rate of ultraviolet of composite coatings decreases to 20%. The research of its excellent ultraviolet shielding property mechanism indicates minor size and high surface energy of nano-SiO2 can produce different absorption, reflection and scatter actions to different wavelengths. 展开更多

A kind of modified epoxy resins was obtained by condensation of epoxy resin with silicic acid tetraethyl ester(TEOS) and nano-SiO2. The reactions were performed with hydrochloric acid as a catalyst at 63 ℃. The structure, thermal stability and morphological characteristics of the modified epoxy resins were studied through infrared spectra(FT-IR) analysis, thermogravimetric(TG) analysis and scanning electron microscopy respectively. It has been found from the IR and TG study that modified epoxy resins have greater thermal stability than epoxy resins, and its thermal stability has been improved by the formation of inter-crosslinked network structure. The modified epoxy resins exhibit heterogeneous morphology and heterogeneity increases with more TEOS feeding, which in turn confirms the formation of inter-crosslinked network structure in modified epoxy resins. 展开更多

The study showed that the ultra-fine boron carbide added modified the microstructure of residual carbon and promoted the chemical bond between residual carbon from phenolic resin and flake graphite. The carbon white could strengthen the residual carbon from phenolic resin. These two additives improved the mechanical properties of AG refractories at both room temperature and high temperature, and thermal shock resistance was improved noticeably. When the two additives were doped together, carbon white could retard the evaporation of B 2O 3. Thermal shock resistance was guaranteed with a smaller amount of ultra-fine boron carbide. 展开更多

Unraveling atomic-level active sites of layered photocatalyst towards lowconcentration CO_(2) conversion is still challenging.Herein,the yield and selectivity of photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction of the Aurivillius-related oxide semiconductor Bi_(2)O_(2)SiO_(3) nanosheet(BOSO)were largely improved using a surface sulfidation strategy.The experiment and theoretical calculation confirmed that surface sulfidation of the Bi_(2)O_(2)SiO_(3) nanosheet(S-BOSO,6.28 nm)redistributed the charge-enriched Bi sites,extended the solar spectrum absorption to the whole visible range,and considerably enhanced the charge separation,in addition to creating new reaction active sites,as compared to pristine BOSO.Subsequently,surface sulfidation played a switchable role,wherein S-BOSO showed a very high CH_(3)OH generation rate(12.78μmol g^(-1) for 4 h,78.6%selectivity)from low-concentration CO_(2)(1000 ppm)under visible light irradiation,which outperforms most of the state-of-the-art photocatalysts under similar conditions.This study presents an atomic-level modification protocol for engineering reactive sites and charge behaviors to promote solar-to-energy conversion. 展开更多
