Therefore, flush air data sensing(FADS) system has been developed to perform accurate measurement of the air data parameters. In the present study, the method to develop the FADS algorithms with fail-operational capability for a sharp-nosed hypersonic vehicle is provided. To be specific, the FADS system implemented with 16 airframe-integrated pressure ports is used as a case study. Numerical simulations of different freestream conditions have been conducted to generate the database for the FADS targeting in 2 ≤ Ma ≤ 5 and 0 km ≤ H ≤ 30 km. Four groups of neural network algorithms have been developed based on four different pressure port configurations, and the accuracy has been validated by 280 groups of simulations. Particularly, the algorithms based on the 16-port configuration show an excellent ability to serve as the main solver of the FADS, where 99. 5% of the angle-of-attack estimations are within the error band ±0. 2°. The accuracy of the algorithms is discussed in terms of port configuration. Furthermore, diagnosis of the system health is present in the paper. A fault-tolerant FADS system architecture has been designed, which is capable of continuously sensing the air data in the case that multi-port failure occurs, with a reduction in the system accuracy.展开更多

Our review traces the evolution of CNN, emphasizing the adaptation and capabilities of the U-Net 3D model in automating seismic fault delineation with unprecedented accuracy. We find: 1) The transition from basic neural networks to sophisticated CNN has enabled remarkable advancements in image recognition, which are directly applicable to analyzing seismic data. The U-Net 3D model, with its innovative architecture, exemplifies this progress by providing a method for detailed and accurate fault detection with reduced manual interpretation bias. 2) The U-Net 3D model has demonstrated its superiority over traditional fault identification methods in several key areas: it has enhanced interpretation accuracy, increased operational efficiency, and reduced the subjectivity of manual methods. 3) Despite these achievements, challenges such as the need for effective data preprocessing, acquisition of high-quality annotated datasets, and achieving model generalization across different geological conditions remain. Future research should therefore focus on developing more complex network architectures and innovative training strategies to refine fault identification performance further. Our findings confirm the transformative potential of deep learning, particularly CNN like the U-Net 3D model, in geosciences, advocating for its broader integration to revolutionize geological exploration and seismic analysis.展开更多

文摘Effective fault diagnosis of planetary gearboxes is critical for ensuring the safety and dependability of mechanical drive systems.Nevertheless, variable conditions and inadequate fault data bring huge challenges to its practical fault diagnosis.Taking this into account, this study presents a new intelligent fault diagnosis(IFD)approach for planetary gearbox using a transferable deep Q network(TDQN)that merges deep reinforcement learning(DRL)and transfer learning(TL).First,a DRL environment simulation is designed by a predefined classification Markov decision process. Then, leveraging varied-size convolutions and residual learning,a multiscale residual convolutional neural network agent for TDQN is created to automatically learn meaningful features directly from vibration signals while avoiding model degradation.Next,a large source dataset is obtained from complex conditions, and this agent learns an IFD policy via autonomous interaction with the data environment. Finally,a parameter-based TL strategy is adopted to retrain the model on target datasets with variable conditions and small training data, which is conducted by fine-tuning the model parameters gained from the source task to accomplish target tasks. The results show that this TDQN outperforms not only state-of-the-art methods in a source task with an accuracy of 98.53%but also in two target tasks with 99.63%and 98.37%,respectively.
文摘Hypersonic vehicles suffer from extreme aerodynamic heating during flights, especially around the area of leading edge due to its small curvature. A fault-tolerant FADS system architecture has been designed, which is capable of continuously sensing the air data in the case that multi-port failure occurs, with a reduction in the system accuracy.
文摘Wireless Sensor Networks(WSNs)gather data in physical environments, which is some type. These ubiquitous sensors face several challenges responsible for corrupting them(mostly sensor failure and intrusions in external agents).WSNs were disposed to error, and effectual fault detection techniques are utilized for detecting faults from WSNs in a timely approach.Machine learning(ML)was extremely utilized for detecting faults in WSNs.Therefore, this study proposes a billiards optimization algorithm with modified deep learning for fault detection(BIOMDL-FD)in WSN.The BIOMDLFD technique mainly concentrates on identifying sensor faults to enhance network efficiency. To do so,the presented BIOMDL-FD technique uses the attention-based bidirectional long short-term memory(ABLSTM)method for fault detection. In the ABLSTM model, the attention mechanism enables us to learn the relationships between the inputs and modify the probability to give more attention to essential features. At the same time, the BIO algorithm is employed for optimal hyperparameter tuning of the ABLSTM model, which is stimulated by billiard games, showing the novelty of the work.Experimental analyses are made to affirm the enhanced fault detection outcomes of the BIOMDL-FD technique.Detailed simulation results demonstrate the improvement of the BIOMDL-FD technique over other models with a maximum classification accuracy of 99.37%.

文摘Fault diagnosis of 5G networks faces the challenges of heavy reliance on human experience and insufficient fault samples and relevant monitoring data. The digital twin technology can realize the interaction between virtual space and physical space through the fusion of model and data, providing a new paradigm for fault diagnosis. In this paper,we first propose a network digital twin model and apply it to 5G network diagnosis. We then use an improved Average Wasserstein GAN with Gradient Penalty(AWGAN-GP)method to discover and predict failures in the twin network. Finally,we use XGBoost algorithm to locate the faults in physical network in real time.Extensive simulation results show that the proposed approach can significantly increase fault prediction and diagnosis accuracy in the case of a small number of labeled failure samples in 5G networks.
文摘A distributed generation system(DG)has several benefits over a traditional centralized power system. However, the protection area in the case of the distributed generator requires special attention as it encounters stability loss, failure re-closure,fluctuations in voltage, etc. And thereby,it demands immediate attention in identifying the location&type of a fault without delay especially when occurred in a small, distributed generation system,as it would adversely affect the overall system and its operation. In the past, several methods were proposed for classification and localisation of a fault in a distributed generation system. Many of those methods were accurate in identifying location, but the accuracy in identifying the type of fault was not up to the acceptable mark. The proposed work here uses a shallow artificial neural network(sANN)model for identifying a particular type of fault that could happen in a specific distribution network when used in conjunction with distributed generators.Firstly,a distribution network consisting of two similar distributed generators(DG1 and DG2),one grid, and a 100 Km distribution line is modeled.Thereafter, different voltages and currents corresponding to various faults(line to line, line to ground)at different locations are tabulated, resulting in a matrix of 500×18 inputs.Secondly, the sANN is formulated for identifying the types of faults in the system in which the above-obtained data is used to train, validate, and test the neural network. The overall result shows an unprecedented almost zero percent error in identifying the type of the faults.

文摘ADC distribution network is an effective solution for increasing renewable energy utilization with distinct benefits, such as high efficiency and easy control. However,a sudden increase in the current after the occurrence of faults in the network may adversely affect network stability. This study proposes an artificial neural network(ANN)-based fault detection and protection method for DC distribution networks. The ANN is applied to a classifier for different faults ontheDC line. The backpropagationneuralnetwork is used to predict the line current, and the fault detection threshold is obtained on the basis of the difference between the predicted current and the actual current. The proposed method only uses local signals, with no requirement of a strict communication link.Simulation experiments are conducted for the proposed algorithm on a two-terminal DC distribution network modeled in the PSCAD/EMTDC and developed on the MATLAB platform. The results confirm that the proposed method can accurately detect and classify line faults within a few milliseconds and is not affected by fault locations, fault resistance, noise, and communication delay.
文摘Deep neural networks have been widely applied to bearing fault diagnosis systems and achieved impressive success recently. To address the problem that the insufficient fault feature extraction ability of traditional fault diagnosis methods results in poor diagnosis effect under variable load and noise interference scenarios,a rolling bearing fault diagnosis model combining Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network(MSCNN)and Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)fused with attention mechanism is proposed. To adaptively extract the essential spatial feature information of various sizes, the model creates a multi-scale feature extraction module using the convolutional neural network(CNN)learning process. The learning capacity of LSTM for time information sequence is then used to extract the vibration signal’s temporal feature information. Two parallel large and small convolutional kernels teach the system spatial local features.LSTM gathers temporal global features to thoroughly and painstakingly mine the vibration signal’s characteristics, thus enhancing model generalization.Lastly, bearing fault diagnosis is accomplished by using the SoftMax classifier. The experiment outcomes demonstrate that the model can derive fault properties entirely from the initial vibration signal. It can retain good diagnostic accuracy under variable load and noise interference and has strong generalization compared to other fault diagnosis models.

文摘Convolutional neural networks(CNNs) exhibit excellent performance in the areas of image recognition and object detection, which can enhance the intelligence level of spacecraft. However, in aerospace, energetic particles, such as heavy ions, protons, and alpha particles, can induce single event effects(SEEs) that lead CNNs to malfunction and can significantly impact the reliability of a CNN system. In this paper, the MNIST CNN system was constructed based on a 28 nm systemon-chip(SoC), and then an alpha particle irradiation experiment and fault injection were applied to evaluate the SEE of the CNN system. Various types of soft errors in the CNN system have been detected, and the SEE cross sections have been calculated. Furthermore, the mechanisms behind some soft errors have been explained. This research will provide technical support for the design of radiation-resistant artificial intelligence chips.

文摘Fault diagnosis technology has been widely applied and is an important part of ensuring the safe operation of mechanical equipment. In response to the problem of frequent faults in rolling bearings, this paper designs a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on convolutional capsule network(CCN).More specifically, the original vibration signal is converted into a two-dimensional time–frequency image using continuous wavelet transform(CWT),and the feature extraction is performed on the two-dimensional time–frequency image using the convolution layer at the front end of the network, and the extracted features are input into the capsule network. The capsule network converts the extracted features into vector neurons, and the dynamic routing algorithm is used to achieve feature transfer and output the results of fault diagnosis. Two different datasets are used to compare with other traditional deep learning models to verify the fault diagnosis capability of the method. The results show that the CCN has good diagnostic capability under different working conditions, even in the presence of noise and insufficient samples, compared to other models. This method contributes to the safe and reliable operation of mechanical equipment and is suitable for other rotating scenarios.
文摘Bearing fault diagnosis stands as a critical component in the maintenance of rotating machinery. Many prevalent deep learning techniques are tailored to Euclidean datasets such as audio, image, and video. However, these methods falter when confronting non-Euclidean datasets, notably graph representations. In response, here we introduce an innovative approach harnessing the graph convolutional network(GCN)to analyze graph data derived from vibration signals related to bearing faults. This enhances the precision and reliability of fault diagnosis. Our methodology initiates by deriving a periodogram from the unprocessed vibration signals.Subsequently, this periodogram is mapped into a graph format, upon which the GCN is engaged for classification purposes. We substantiate the efficacy of our approach through rigorous experimental assessments conducted on a collection of ten bearing sets.Within these experiments,an accelerometer chronicles vibration signals across varying load conditions. We probe into the diagnostic accuracy rates across diverse loads and signal-to-noise ratios.Furthermore,a comparative evaluation of our method against several established algorithms delineated in this study is undertaken.Empirical observations confirm that our GCN-based strategy registers an elevated diagnostic accuracy quotient.
文摘Deep learning, especially through convolutional neural networks (CNN) such as the U-Net 3D model, has revolutionized fault identification from seismic data, representing a significant leap over traditional methods. Our findings confirm the transformative potential of deep learning, particularly CNN like the U-Net 3D model, in geosciences, advocating for its broader integration to revolutionize geological exploration and seismic analysis.
