Sulfite (S(IV)) is a promising substitute for sulfate radical-based advanced oxidation processes.Here,a composite of in-situ anchoring Ni Co_(2)O_(4)nanosheets on biochar (BC) was firstly employed as a heterogeneous activator for sulfite (Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite) to degrade atrazine (ATZ) in the neutral environment.The synergistic coupling of BC and Ni Co_(2)O_(4)endows the resulting composite excellent catalytic activity.82% of the degradation ratio of ATZ (1 mg/L) could be achieved within 10 min at initial concentrations of 0.6 g/L Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC,3.0 mmol/L sulfite in neutral environment.When further supplementing sulfite into the system at 20 min (considering the depletion of sulfite),outstanding degradation efficiency (100%) were achieved in the next 10 min without any other energy input by the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite system.The features of the prepared catalysts and the effects of some key parameters on ATZ degradation were systematically examined.A strong inner-sphere complexation (≡Co_(2)+/Ni^(2+)-SO_(3)^(2-)) was explored between sulfite and the metal sites on the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC surface.The redox cycle of the surface metal efficiently mediated sulfite activation and triggered the series radical chain reactions.The generated radicals,in particular the surface-bound radicals were involved in ATZ degradation.High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique was used to detect the degradation intermediates.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to illustrate the possible degradation pathways of ATZ.Finally,an underlying mechanism for ATZ removal was proposed.The present study offered a low-cost and sustainable catalyst for sulfite activation to remove ATZ in an environmentally friendly manner from wastewater. 展开更多

In this study,the application of bovine serum albumin(BSA)as a carrier to glucose-sensitive materials for the detection of glucose was proposed.Au-Cu O bimetallic nanoclusters(Au-Cu O/BSA)were prepared using BSA as a template,the new sensing material(Au-Cu O/BSA/MWCNTs)was synthesized by mixing with multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNT)and applied to non-enzymatic electrochemical sensors to detect glucose stably and effectively under neutral condition.The scanning electron microscopy was used to investigate the morphology of the synthesized nanocomposite.The electrochemical properties of the sensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry.Glucose detection experiments show that Au-Cu O/BSA/MWCNTs/Au electrode has good glucose detection ability,stability,accuracy,repeatability,and high selectivity in neutral environment.Unlike existing glucose-sensitive materials,due to the use of BSA,the composite material is firmly fixed to the electrode surface without a Nafion solution,which reduces the current blocking effect on the modified electrode.The composite materials can be effectively preserved for extremely long periods,higher than 80%activity is maintained at room temperature in a closed environment for 3 to 4 months,due to the special effects of BSA.In addition,the feasibility of using BSA in glucose-sensitive materials is confirmed. 展开更多

Impact of summer office set air-conditioning temperature on energy consumption and thermal comfort 被引量:3

To explore the relationship between summer office set air-conditioning temperature and energy consumption related to air conditioning use to provide human thermal comfort,a comparison experiment was conducted in three similar offices at temperatures of 24,26 and 28 ℃ respectively. A thermal comfort questionnaire survey was conducted. It is demonstrated that air-conditioner energy consumption at the set temperature of 28 ℃ is 113% and 271% lower than at 26 ℃ and 24 ℃,respectively. A linear relationship exists between air-conditioner energy consumption and the indoor and outdoor temperature difference. When comfortably dressed,over 80% of research participants accept the set temperature of 28 ℃. The regression analysis leads to a neutral temperature of 26.2 ℃ and an acceptable temperature of 28.2 ℃ for over 80% of the research participants subjects,indicating that the current 26 ℃ set temperature for offices in summer,required by Chinese General Office of the State Council,can be increased to 28 ℃. Moreover,analysis of predicted mean vote(PMV) index shows that a set temperature of 27 ℃,not 26 ℃,is sufficiently comfortable for office staff wearing long-sleeve shirts,long pants and leather shoes. 展开更多

本文基于生命周期气候性能(LCCP)方法,研究并分析了使用的城市、能耗、制冷剂、电网电力排放因子、废弃空调器的回收等因素对房间空调器全寿命周期二氧化碳排放的影响。结果表明:制冷剂年均泄漏率β分别为0%、1%、2%和3%时,房间空调器... 本文基于生命周期气候性能(LCCP)方法,研究并分析了使用的城市、能耗、制冷剂、电网电力排放因子、废弃空调器的回收等因素对房间空调器全寿命周期二氧化碳排放的影响。结果表明:制冷剂年均泄漏率β分别为0%、1%、2%和3%时,房间空调器的直接碳排放依次减少,β为3%时的直接碳排放约为β为0%时的4倍;制冷剂R22导致的空调器直接碳排放量分别约为R410A和R32的1.1倍和3.9倍;制冷季节广州地区的房间空调器间接碳排放量是上海地区的1.8倍,上海地区制热季节与制冷季节相比,制热季节的房间空调器间接碳排放量约为制冷季节的1.55倍;寿命期内空调器碳排放主要依赖能源结构的电力碳排放因子值。 展开更多

It is highly attractive but still remains a great challenge to develop an efficient electrocatalyst for oxygen evolution reaction under nearly neutral conditions. In this work, we report the transformation of Ni3S2 nanowire array on nickel foam into the amorphous nickel carbonate nanowire array on nickel foam (NiCO3/NF). The resulting NiCO3/NF shows high electrocatalytic activity towards water oxidation and affords current density of 50 mA. cm-2 at overpotential of 395 mV in 1.0 mol·L^-1 KHCO3. Moreover, this NiCO3/NF is also durable with a long-term electrochemical durability of 60 h. This catalyst electrode achieves a high turnover frequency of 0.21 mol O2·s^-1 at the overpotential of 500 mV. 展开更多

This paper presents a novel and efficient control scheme for unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) based on three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) inverter using fuzzy logic techniques. The proposed UPQC is capable of mitigating source current harmonics and compensate all voltage disturbances such as voltage sags, swells, unbalances and harmonics. It is designed by the integration of series and shunt active filters (AFs) sharing a common DC bus capacitor. The DC voltage is maintained constant using proportional integral voltage controller. The synchronous reference frame (SRF) theory is used to get the reference signals for shunt active power filters (APFs) and the power reactive theory (p-q theory) for series APFs. The shunt and series APF reference signals derived from the control algorithm and sensed signals are injected in two controllers to generate switching signals. To improve the UPQC capability, fuzzy logic techniques are introduced to control the series APF. The performances of the proposed UPQC system are evaluated in terms of power factor correction, mitigation of voltage or current harmonics and all other voltage disturbances compensation using Matlab-Simulink software and SimPowerSystem toolbox. The simulation results illustrate the performance of the proposed UPQC at the common connection point of the nonlinear load to improve the power energy quality. 展开更多
