Background: Mental health has been impaired and at risk due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. The consequences due to confinement impacted every scenario, which directly influenced the daily routine of nurse students;in each setting students faced stressors that trigger fear, anxiety and others, since being in confinement learning of topics moved to the home, laboratory practices in hospitals were cancelled leaving the room that is uncertain up to their return to in-person activities. It is important to highlight the need for innovation and strengthening of theoretical-pedagogic aspects centered at the student’s context as a human being with their own needs and problems, who will interact with others in the continuous process of health-illness. Objective: the aim was to identify the stressors in the nurse students’ formation in the new normality post-COVID-19. Methods: Qualitative and phenomenological research with 27 participants aged 20 - 25 years, nurse students of a public university. The information collection was through four focal groups of 6-7 members each, data analysis was done according to Miles & Huberman after signed informed consent of each participant, and authorized by the chairperson of the Nurse’ career. Results: Category 1, Cumulative stressors with sub-categories 1.1 Uncertainty, 1.2 Isolation, 1.3 Invisibility, 1.4 Mockery, 1.5 Exclusion. Category 2, Expectancy states with sub-categories 2.1 Low self-esteem, 2.2 Insecurity, 2.3 Anxiety, 2.4 Depression, 2.5 Temporary leave, 2.6 Search for authenticity. Category 3, Internalization processes with sub-categories 3.1 Social rejection, 3.2 Self-censorship, 3.3 Discrediting, 3.4 Disempowerment. Category 4, Academic aspects affected with sub-categories 4.1 Deficient studying habits, 4.2 Deficient assimilations of knowledge, 4.3 Archived knowledge in the computer, 4.4 Absence of practice in previous semesters. Conclusion: Once identified the stressors in nurse students in the new normality post-COVID-19, it will allow the creation of settings that help in getting confidence for students, i.e., a safe surrounding promotes the development of abilities and competencies during formation, as well as recommendations of teachers in the classroom and laboratories that contribute to filling space that students perceive as empty, and to intensifying the companionship in clinical settings where students perceive most aggressiveness. 展开更多

During epidemic, students in medium-risk or high-risk areas are unable to return to school on time.In response to this new challenge, there is an urgent need to create a new teaching mode to offer on-line courses to those absent from the offline classes, and we propose a model integrating online and offline teaching. It is based on“dual-camera”method,which allows off-campus students to virtually build up a physical classroom scenario on campus through computers and mobile phones.Using this model, students can participate in class remotely. In order to enhance the engagement of off-campus online students, emphasis is placed on interactive teaching.Teachers are required to design their teaching in advance and to work in collaboration with multiple departments, then using information technology and suitable teaching methods to enable students to participate in physical classroom teaching. This model has been tested in practice and has been successful in meeting the challenges.Finally,4 areas for improvement and refinement are identified. 展开更多

Based on the precautionary theory, this paper established a framework for consumption of migrant workers from the perspective of the uncertainty risk, and analyzed the effects of uncertain income risk on consumption of migrant workers using the quantile regression method. Results indicated that the income uncertainty significantly inhibits the consumption of migrant workers. The lower the consumption level or the lower the income level, the stronger the inhibitory effect will be. Uncertainty of expenditure also has a significant inhibitory effect on the consumption of migrant workers. Promoting urbanization of migrant workers and accelerating the reform of the household registration system can reduce the uncertainty risks faced by migrant workers,so as to raise the consumption expectation of migrant workers, release the consumption potential of migrant workers, and improve the living standards of migrant workers. 展开更多

This paper summarizes the theoretical background and realistic considerations for the emergence of the new normal of macro policy. The characteristics of the new normal of macro policy are as follows: 1) a supply-side approach in response to growth slowdown; 2) understanding economic heterogeneity and growth disequilibrium and paying attention to structural regulation; 3) highlighting strategic planning and broadening the horizon of macro policy; 4) re-establishing a benchmark of macro policy and re-initiating local competition; 5) balancing the interests of various stakeholders and understanding the political economy of macro policy; 6) respecting the spillover effects of major countries and implementing responsible macro policies; 7) respecting "market determinism" and recognizing the limitations of macro policy; and 8) propelling institutional developments and creating a basic framework of macro policy. This paper concludes that the new normal of macro policy is not simply a passive adjustment to the new normal of economy but represents an initiative of proactive response that steers the economy towards a more advanced form. In particular, the following issues should be clarified in current macro policy: some of the characteristics will be corrected or phased out, some that coincide with the new normal will be abreast with the times, and some require that a new trail be explored through innovation of macro policy. These components will constitute the basic framework for China's macro policy to transition towards the new normal. 展开更多

The new normal state of economy is not only the overall trend of China's current economic development stage, but also the strategic choice of China for the future economic development, the anticipation for the economic development and its outcome under the new strategy. It is of great strategic significance for the long-term development of China's human rights as a whole, yet it makes a short-term challenge to the realization of the rights of vulnerable groups. Under the new normal state of economy, it should be targeted to strengthen the protection of the rights of vulnerable groups, which is very important not only for the overall development of China's human rights causes, but also for China to cross over 'the middle-income trap' and to achieve sustainable development of economy. 展开更多

The depth and breadth of participation in the global value chain(GVC)significantly impacts a country's fine particulate contamination(PM_(2.5))emissions.First,based on the GVC accounting framework, the sources of PM_(2.5) emissions in China between 1990 and 2015 are identified and investigated considering production-side,consumption-side,and export-implied pollution. Then, index decomposition analysis(IDA)of emissions is conducted to further investigate the changes in and causes of air pollution in China.Throughout the analytical process, differences between the PM_(2.5) emissions in two time periods-one of rapid economic growth and another of the“new normal”economy-are compared. The results demonstrate that:China is embedded in high pollution links of GVCs;China transfers pollution to third-parties by importing intermediate products from resource-intensive countries in the global production system;extensive economic growth caused an increase in China's total PM_(2.5) emissions, but cleaner production technology can reduce the emissions intensity.Industrial restructuring under the“new normal”has increased China's short-term PM_(2.5) emissions intensity. These results suggest that China should optimize and upgrade its domestic economic structure and transform its export growth mode to deliver high added value and low pollution.Further,it should prioritize cooperation between the upstream and downstream value chain and accelerate the upgrading of its consumption structure in this new era. 展开更多

New Normal becomes the way out to keep Indonesia's weakened economy because of covid-19 pandemic stays in balance.Of course,New Normal must be well-balanced with the application of strict protocols to reduce transmission rates and anticipate a surge in new cases. From a few points of pandemic protocols, using face mask is considered as the most-effective basic need.Re-designing the mask is aiming at eliminating the worsening feature and developing the improving feature. This research is developing the widely used 1-ply mask, which doesn't meet WHO standard regarding cloth-material mask that must be made in 3-ply.The method used in this research is TRIZ(Teoriya Resheniya Izobreatatelskikh Zadatch),an inventive problem solving theory to the issues regarding ideas, products,or concepts,in this case is face mask redesigning concept. In this research, the data are collected by doing library research to obtain secondary data that will be processed in qualitative and quantitative methods. The results show the aspects that should be eliminated from cloth-material face mask are brittle for being easily damaged, short period of usage, and non-reusable.After the redesigning concept is carried out using the principles and features of TRIZ method, some aspects such as weight, material, design, and functionality are developed. The result is a relatively light weight face mask because the using of PLA+filament-based material with good durability and environmentally friendly. This design has a longer period of usage, and the user only needs to replace the additional inserted tissue every 4 hours. The researchers hope that the new design can be further developed by government to deal with New Normal and other possibilities in the future. 展开更多

The trend of climate warming and deeper globalization is adding new content to urban risks in Shanghai, resulting in the adaption of traditional comprehensive defense planning to the new environment. Based on the resilient city theory, this paper proposes a transition for Shanghai from an original comprehensive defense to a resilient city vision through strategic framework and approaches from the three aspects of engineering technology, spatial defense, and social governance in the New Normal age. Meanwhile, it suggests that Shanghai should use information technology to enhance the level of risk monitoring and to improve engineering design standards; strengthen the resilience from the scales of "life circle-urban circle-municipal administrative area"; and innovate as well as improve the social safety governance. 展开更多

Rural planning must be reformed to adapt to the new rural development law accordingly. Focusing on Southern Jiangsu where rural study and planning began earlier than other areas, this paper takes Suzhou as an example and analyzes the features of rural planning in Southern Jiangsu through stage division, based on the internal logic of new normal development. It points out that rural planning of Southern Jiangsu has experienced a "normal to abnormal" development transition. After summarizing existing problems in the planning process, as well as new demands brought to planning by rural development under the new normal stage, this paper also puts forward the reform directions and thoughts of rural planning in Southern Jiangsu from the perspectives of planning value idea, planning drafting system, and planning management mechanism. 展开更多

This paper studies China’s potential GDP growth in the“New Normal”period, and estimates the potential growth rate from the perspectives of demographic dividends, capital stock, and total factor growth rates, according to the neoclassical growth equation.Meanwhile, based on China’s current situation, the following factors are also taken into account:(1)political level, which is the requirement for building a moderately prosperous society;(2)the potential demand from new urbanization in China;(3)constraints in China’s development, which are from resources, environment, and debt stress.Overall, the potential GDP growth in the“New Normal”period is changing along with changes in demographic structure, capital endowment, environmental requirements, and other constraints. We believe that a reasonable economic growth rate in the“New Normal”period should be around 7.5%in 2014,with an average growth of 6.5%for the period of 2016-2020,and the trend will then continue downward. On the basis of our analysis,we make some suggestions regarding macro-control,social welfare policy, and relative reform measures. 展开更多
