The Africanness of African Literatures and New Patterns in Human Civilization

The explosion of African literatures in 2021 is not a coincidence,but is dictated by the continent's decolonial,diasporic and hybrid cultural manifestations,its more than a hundred years of struggle for cross-regional integration,its spirit of vigorous and persistent action,and the unique attraction of an Africanness that upholds its selfhood,bridges the gaps,and remembers its history but looks to the future.The diasporic characteristic of attending to,absorbing and squarely facing the tension of heterogeneous cultures means that indigenous African literatures contain a distinctive world consciousness and rational philosophy.They have given rise to diverse civilizations marked by dialogue,inclusiveness and the contemporary spirit of African nations,enabling African literatures to participate effectively in the dialogue of world literature and in new patterns of civilization,displaying as they do a strong vitality,creativity and influence in the positive-sum game with Western culture.This will provide positive encouragement to the mutual learning,integration,harmony,symbiosis andcoexistenceofcivilizations.

Intellectual Property Protection and New Development Pattern Construction of Xinjiang Jujube

"Three new developments"is the guiding ideology of Chinese-style high-quality development in the new era.Jujube(Zizyphus jujube Mill.)is a plant of Zizyphus of Rhamnaceae,which originated in China and has been listed as one of the"five fruits"since ancient times.Xinjiang is the most important jujube producing area in China,and its yield has accounted for 50%of the national jujube yield.In the five prefectures and cities of southern Xinjiang,as well as the regimental farms of southern and eastern Xinjiang of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps,the jujube industry is an advantageous characteristic industry in agriculture.This paper studied Xinjiang jujube industry and its agricultural intellectual property resources,analyzed six major issues to be further implemented,such as the"three new developments"thinking and the strategy of building an intellectual property power,and puts forward eight strategies such as coordinating the two markets and two resources to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern and dual circulation of jujube.

A NEW METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING DIGITAL-STRAIN-FIELD-IMAGES FROM MOIRE PATTERNS

A new method for constructing digital-strain-field-image from a moire pattern with the help of digital image processing technique is proposed in this paper. The digital-strain-field-image expresses the strain values directly by its grey levels. The digital-strain-field-image can be obtained by making a differentiation for the digital moire pattern and doing a simple division operation. This image not only gives the visual strain field distribution, but also gives the strain values of every point. This method is simple and applicable and has satisfactory accuracy.

When analyzing the Chinese economy,one should not merely focus on surface phenomena,or be confined by a purely economic,partial,or static standpoint.Contrarily,we should uphold the stances and methodologies of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to get a clear picture of the current state,future direction,overarching strategies,and specific approaches of the Chinese economy in the context of the long-term evolution of the global economic system and China's endeavors of building a great modern socialist country.Since the launch of reform and opening up in 1978,China has effectively modernized itself through economic development.Par ticularly,in the f irst decade of the new era,China laid down rock-solid foundations and expanded vast spaces for future economic development through systematic modernization.With the advent of the post-COVID-19 era,the Chinese economy has entered a phase of great transition,and the country has set a goal of achieving high-quality development through a new development patter n in three critical decades.This will be unprecedented in China's economic history,and its significance and implications for the global economic system will also be unseen.China's strengths in terms of system,supply,demand,and talent provide important guarantees for a successful economic transition.During the transition period,China will look economic competition squarely,continuing to deepen its opening up and reform.The Chinese economy is expected to stabilize and accumulate momentum in the short term,gradually lift off in the medium term,and have a bright future in the long term.To bring that bright future into reality,China needs to strike a good balance between two“great miracles,”two“new patterns,”two“major blocs,”and two“world orders.”Further capacity building is needed to strengthen the Communist Party of China,enhance scientific and technological innovation,build China into a financial powerhouse,cultivate good relationships worldwide,and uphold national security while creating the conditions for ensuring it.

The Historical Position and Value Dimensions of Human Rights Civilization

Human beings are the mainstay and the ultimate goal of civilization.The history of human civilization is a continuous struggle to realize the respect,liberation,protection,and development of humanity.Human rights are an achievement of humanity and a symbol of progress,and the human rights civilization is an important component of human civilization.Understanding and interpreting human rights from the perspective of human rights civilization means that human rights are not only a concept or an idea but also a grand historical and long-term social practice.Up to now,the development of human rights civilization has roughly experienced four awakening eras:initialization,revolution,popularization,and globalization.In terms of its value dimensions,it has the characteristics of progressiveness,diversity,commonality,inclusiveness,indivisibility,openness,and so on.The historical position of human rights civilization and the development of its value dimensions have shown to the world that human rights are the common wealth of humanity,and human rights belong to all mankind;human rights are historical,concrete,and developmental;the concept of human rights is constantly evolving,and its connotations and categories are constantly expanding;achieving the free and well-rounded development of every person is the highest value realm of human rights civilization.The Chinese modernization endows Chinese civilization with modern strength and opens up new horizons for human rights civilization.The new pattern of human rights civilization to be created by Chinese modernization not only possesses the common characteristics of human rights civilization but also enjoys Chinese characteristics based on its own national conditions,enriching and developing the diversity of human rights civilization for all mankind.

New pattern recognition system in the e-nose for Chinese spirit identification

This paper presents a new pattern recognition system for Chinese spirit identification by using the polymer quartz piezoelectric crystal sensor based e-nose. The sensors are designed based on quartz crystal microbalance（QCM） principle,and they could capture different vibration frequency signal values for Chinese spirit identification. For each sensor in an8-channel sensor array, seven characteristic values of the original vibration frequency signal values, i.e., average value（A）,root-mean-square value（RMS）, shape factor value（S_f）, crest factor value（C_f）, impulse factor value（I_f）, clearance factor value（CL_f）, kurtosis factor value（K_v） are first extracted. Then the dimension of the characteristic values is reduced by the principle components analysis（PCA） method. Finally the back propagation（BP） neutral network algorithm is used to recognize Chinese spirits. The experimental results show that the recognition rate of six kinds of Chinese spirits is 93.33% and our proposed new pattern recognition system can identify Chinese spirits effectively.

China’s Industrial Upgrading and Value Chain Restructuring Under the New Development Pattern

Global industrial chains(GICs)have become a hallmark of the world economy underpinning the global production cycle.Since the reform and opening up was introduced in 1978,China has taken an active role in global value chains(GVCs)and become the world’s factory floor.Under the external shocks to GICs,such as US trade frictions with China and the COVID-19 pandemic,China’s traditional comparative advantages in manufacturing which include its labor force and costs are waning.This has manifested in a wave of industrial relocations from China to other countries as well as China’s weakening international competitiveness.We took stock of the concepts and journey of GVCs and elaborated the intrinsic relationship between GVCs and the new development pattern of“dual circulations”.We also analyzed the trends of GVCs,the current status and problems of China’s industrial chains,and China’s market heft,complete industrial chains and the digital economy as new strengths for industrial chain upgrade.In our conclusion,this paper put forth some policy recommendations for China’s industrial chain upgrade in the context of dual circulations.

Application of the new pattern recognition system in the new e-nose to detecting Chinese spirits

We present a new pattern recognition system based on moving average and linear discriminant analysis （LDA）, which can be used to process the original signal of the new polymer quartz piezoelectric crystal air-sensitive sensor system we designed, called the new e-nose. Using the new e-nose, we obtain the template datum of Chinese spirits via a new pattern recognition system. To verify the effectiveness of the new pattern recognition system, we select three kinds of Chinese spirits to test, our results confirm that the new pattern recognition system can perfectly identify and distinguish between the Chinese spirits.

A quantitative approach to monitoring new sand cay migration in Nansha Islands

Sand cay is a special kind of islet formed by coral detritus and bioclast, which is common in Nansha Islands of China. Some sand cays play an important role in ocean strategy and economy, but surprisingly we know little about them, especially those recently formed sand cays. In this research, we monitor migration of a new sand cay in Nanxun Jiao（Gaven Reef） using a series of Quick Bird and World View-2 satellite images between June 2006 and August 2013. We conduct a regression between migration distance and wind observational data to examine the migration patterns of the new sand cay. The migration distance is calculated based on the sand cay locations extracted based on Normalized Difference Water Index（NDWI）. The wind observational data downloaded from NOAA are reformed into four wind direction vectors. Based on the results of regression, we concluded that the migration of the new sand cay on Nanxun Jiao was significantly associated with the east, west and north wind.East wind was the main influence factor of the migration; its impact strength was almost twice as the west and north wind. The south wind has little effect on the migration of the sand cay, which is partly blocked by the artificial structure in the south.

This paper examines China’s flying geese paradigm that serves as a key driver of a new pattern of the country’s economic development.Our results suggest that such a major power’s flying geese paradigm has taken shape in the aftermath of the global financial crisis in 2008.However,this paradigm has provincial heterogeneity in that industrial relocation varies across provinces.For instance,China’s central and western regions have shown differences while serving as destinations for labor-intensive industries and processing trade.This flying geese paradigm evolves in a slow and nonlinear manner,and may be subject to stagnation and even reversal.

Study on a new grain-cash cropping pattern in paddy field

We studied a new grain-cash cropping pattern composed of "barley/watermelon + waize-rice", comparing with "barley / watermelon-rice" (CKI), "watermelon-rice", (CK2). The experiment was conducted in CNRRI’s field for 3 yr, employing completely randomized design with three replications, and each plot occupied 207 m~2. The soil in the experiment field contained: N, 2.48 g. kg, quick effective P 4 mg. kg, and quick effective K 53 mg·kg. The varieties tested were Zhemai 2 (barley), Zhemi 1 (watermelon), Suyu 1 (maize), and Shanyou 63 (hybrid rice).

A NEW DRY DEPOSITION VELOCITY PATTERN AND ITS PRACTICAL APPLICATION IN HIGH RESOLUTION REGIONAL ACID DEPOSITION MODEL

A new dry deposition velocity pattern (NDDVP) for the study of region-scale dry deposition processes is developed. The mean ratio between NDDVP and 1022 experimental data of dry deposi- tion velocity V_d is 1. 06±0.82. The result shows that NDDVP is well consistent with experimental data. Practical cases are forecasted by the high resolution regional acid deposition model (EM3) with both NDDVP and old V_d pattern. The maximum ratio between the central concentrations for SO4 can reach 2.4 only due to different V_d patterns. 3-D distributions of species concentrations and dry depositions forecasted by NDDVP are better than those by the old V_d pattern.
