In this paper, nitrogen-doped porous nanofibers (N-PCNF) were fabricated via cost effective electrospinning technique by blending the PI and PAN as precursors, followed by heat treatment procedures. The N-PCNFs were used as support to prepare platinum (Pt) catalyst (Pt/N-PCNFs). SEM figure indicated that the porous structures not only existed on the surface but also in the cross session of the fibers. XPS and TEM displayed that with the help of heteroatoms nitrogen, the fiber had rougher surface and more defective structure, contributing to the dispersion of Pt nanoparticles. The catalytic performance for ORR was evaluated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and liner sweep voltammetry (LSV) with a rotating disk electrode (RDE). According to the results, Pt/N-PCNF exhibited superior property (more positive onset potential and half-wave potential) than that of JM20. The excellent ORR activity of Pt/N-PCNF was attributed to the enriched nitrogen heteroatoms coordinated within the microstructure which increased the exposure of more active sites and dispersion of Pt nanoparticles.展开更多

Activation temperature and KOH/carbon ratio are two parameters to tune the porosity and surface chemical properties of sorbents. The as-obtained sorbents were carefully characterized.Special attention was paid concerning the change of sorbents’ morphology with respect to synthesis conditions. Under the activation temperatures of this study, the sorbents can still retain their fibrous structure when the KOH/carbon mass ratio is 1. Further increasing the KOH amount will destroy the original morphology of polyacrylonitrile fiber. CO_(2)adsorption performance tests show that a sorbent retaining the fibrous shape possesses the highest CO_(2)uptake of 3.95 mmol/g at 25℃and 1 bar. Comprehensive investigation found that the mutual effect of narrow microporosity and doped N content govern the CO_(2)adsorption capacity of these adsorbents. Furthermore, these polyacrylonitrile fiber-derived carbons present multiple outstanding CO_(2)capture properties such as excellent recyclability, high CO_(2)/N_(2)selectivity, fast adsorption kinetics, suitable heat of adsorption, and good dynamic adsorption capacity. Hence, nitrogen-doped porous carbons with fibrous structure are promising in CO_(2)capture.展开更多

文摘Urea electro-oxidation reaction(UEOR)-boosted water electrolysis can supplant the kinetics-restricted oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and provide an energy-saving method of hydrogen generation. However, low UEOR activity and the poisoning issue of the catalyst limit its practical application.Herein,a simple coordination reaction is used to synthesize the dimethylglyoxime-NiⅡcomplex(DMGNiⅡ),which efficiently serves as the initial precursor to synthesize nitrogen-doped carbon nanorodsupported nickel phosphide nanoparticle(Ni_(2)P/N-C)nanocomposites.The density functional theory calculations and electrochemical results reveal that nitrogen doping can weaken the adsorption of hydrogen and the generated CO_(2)resulting in an enhancement of hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and UEOR activity. In addition,N-doping can also promote the generation of Ni,which can further promote the UEOR and HER performance.Concretely, the overpotential for the HER on Ni_(2)P/N-C-2h nanocomposites is only 201 m V at 10 mA cm,and the onset potential of the UEOR on NiP/NC-2h nanocomposites is only 1.34 V.Additionally, the Ni_(2)P/N-Cnanocomposites also show excellent long-term stability due to the introduction of nitrogen-doped carbon material.Consequently, the symmetric Ni_(2)P/N-C-2h||Ni_(2)P/N-C-2h urea electrolyzer requires 1.41 V of electrolysis voltage for urea electrolysis, which can be applied in energy-saving H_(2) production and environment purification.
文摘Heteroatoms doped Carbon materials have been proved as promising catalyst support material for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). The excellent ORR activity of Pt/N-PCNF was attributed to the enriched nitrogen heteroatoms coordinated within the microstructure which increased the exposure of more active sites and dispersion of Pt nanoparticles.

文摘Transition metal nitrides(TMNs)and their composites with carbon materials hold tremendous potential for supercapacitor(SC)electrodes because of their excellent electronic conductivity and electrochemical activity. However, realizing cycling stable TMN/carbon-based supercapacitors with economically viable and environmentally-friendly approaches remains a significant challenge.Significantly, polyacrylamide(PAM)hydrogel,as a water-soluble linear polymer electrolyte,is expected to be a remarkable candidate precursor for preparing N-doped porous carbon(NPC)due to the high contents of carbon and nitrogen elements. In this study, vanadium nitride(VN)embedded in PAM hydrogel-derived NPC was fabricated successfully via an ammonia-free process. The VN/NPC delivers a high specific capacitance of 198.3 F g^(−1)at a current density of 1 A g^(−1),with a remarkable cycling stability of 107%after 16,000 cycles. The electrochemical performances of VN/NPC compared to bare VN nanoparticles are strongly improved due to the composite structure.Additionally, the VN/NPC-based solid-state symmetric device delivers an excellent energy density of 21.97µWh cm^(−2)at a power density of 0.5 mW cm^(−2),and an outstanding cycling durability of 90.9%after 18,000 cycles. This work paves the way to design metal nitride/porous carbon materials, which also opens up unique horizons for the recovery of hydrogel electrolyte.

文摘Isolated active metal atoms anchored on nitrogen-doped carbon matrix have been developed as the efficient catalyst for accelerating sluggish reaction kinetics of oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The facile rational structure engineering with abundant isolated active metal atoms is highly desirable but challenging.Herein,we demonstrate that atomically dispersed Fe sites(Fe-N4 moieties)on the hierarchical porous nitrogen-doped carbon matrix(Fe-SA-PNC)for high ORR activity can be achieved by a dual-template assisted strategy.By thermal decomposition of NH_(4)Cl template, the nitrogen-doped carbon matrix is generated based on the interaction with carbon precursor of citric acid.Meanwhile, the introduction of NaCl template facilitates the formation of hierarchical porous structures, which enable more active sites exposed and improve the mass transfer.Interestingly, the dual-template strategy can inhibit the formation of iron carbide nanoparticles(NPs)by generating porous structures and avoiding of the rapid loss of nitrogen during pyrolysis. The as-made Fe-SA-PNC catalysts with well-defined Fe-N_(4)active sites exhibit highly efficient ORR activity with a half-wave potential of 0.838 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode,as well as good stability and methanol tolerance, outperforming the commercial Pt/C.The zinc-air battery(ZAB)constructed by Fe-SA-PNC also shows a higher peak power density and specific discharging capacity than that of Pt-based ZAB.The present work provides the facile strategy for tailoring nitrogen doping and porous structures simultaneously to prevent the formation NPs for achieving the well-dispersed and accessible single-atom active sites, paving a new way to design efficient electrocatalysts for ORR in fuel cells.

文摘Nitrogen atom doping has been found to enhance the electrochemical performance of porous carbon(PC).In this study, hollow tubular nitrogen-doped porous carbon(N/PC)was synthesized using polyvinylpyrrolidone as the carbon–nitrogen source and fibrous brucite as the template through carbonization. The effects of nitrogen and argon protective atmospheres on the nitrogen content, the specific surface area(SSA),and electrochemical properties of N/PC were investigated. The results showed that compared with N/FBC-Ar,N/FBC-N2 prepared in nitrogen protective atmosphere had a higher nitrogen content and a larger proportion of pyrrolic nitrogen(N-5)and pyridinic nitrogen(N-6).N/FBC-N2 displayed a specific capacitance(C)of 194.1 F·g^(−1)at 1 A·g^(−1),greater than that of N/FBC-Ar(174.3 F·g^(−1)).This work reveals that the nitrogen doping with a higher nitrogen content in nitrogen protective atmosphere is more favorable.Furthermore,a larger proportion of pyrrolic nitrogen and pyridinic nitrogen in the doped nitrogen atoms significantly enhances the electrochemical performance.

文摘In this report, nitrogen-doped porous carbons were synthesized from polyacrylonitrile fiber by a facile two-step synthesis process i.e. carbonization followed by KOH activation. Hence, nitrogen-doped porous carbons with fibrous structure are promising in CO_(2)capture.

文摘The oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalytic activity of Pt-based catalysts can be significantly improved by supporting Pt and its alloy nanoparticles(NPs)on a porous carbon support with large surface area. However, such catalysts are often obtained by constructing porous carbon support followed by depositing Pt and its alloy NPs inside the pores,in which the migration and agglomeration of Pt NPs are inevitable under harsh operating conditions owing to the relatively weak interaction between NPs and carbon support. Here we develop a facile electrospinning strategy to in-situ prepare small-sized PtZn NPs supported on porous nitrogen-doped carbon nanofibers.Electrochemical results demonstrate that the as-prepared PtZn alloy catalyst exhibits excellent initial ORR activity with a half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.911 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(vs.RHE)and enhanced durability with only decreasing 11 mV after 30,000 potential cycles, compared to a more significant drop of 24 mV in E_(1/2)of Pt/C catalysts(after 10,000 potential cycling).Such a desirable performance is ascribed to the created triple-phase reaction boundary assisted by the evaporation of Zn and strengthened interaction between nanoparticles and the carbon support, inhibiting the migration and aggregation of NPs during the ORR.

文摘Balancing cost and performance of porous carbon(PC)as anode for lithium-ion battery(LIBs)is the key to effectively promote commercial application.Herein,low-cost N-doped PC(NPC-Ts,T=600,750 and 900°C)were facilely prepared in batches via one-pot pyrolysis of agar with different carbonization temperature. The NPC-750 with specific surface area of 2914 m^(2)/g and N content of 2.84%exhibits an ultrahigh reversible capacity of 1019 mAh/g at 0.1 A/g after 100 cycles and 837 mAh/g at 1 A/g after 500 cycles.Remarkably, the resulting LIBs exhibit an ultrafast charge-discharge feature with a remarkable capacity of 281 mAh/g at 10 A/g and a superlong cycle life with a capacity retention of 87%after 5000 cycles at 10 A/g.Coupling with LiFePO_(4)cathode,the fabricated lithium-ion full cells possess high capacity, excellent rate and cycling performances(125 mAh/g at 100 mA/g,capacity retention of 95%,after 220 cycles),highlighting the practicability of this NPC-750 as the anode materials.

文摘Sn-based materials are considered as a kind of potential anode materials for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)owing to their high theoretical capacity. However, their use is limited by large volume expansion deriving from the lithiation/delithiation process. In this work, amorphous Sn modified nitrogen-doped porous carbon nanosheets(ASnNPCNs)are obtained. The synergistic effect of amorphous Sn and high edge-nitrogendoped level porous carbon nanosheets provides ASn-NPCNs with multiple advantages containing abundant defect sites, high specific surface area(214.9 m^(2)·g^(−1)),and rich hierarchical pores, which can promote the lithium-ion storage.Serving as the LIB anode, the as-prepared ASn-NPCNs-750 electrode exhibits an ultrahigh capacity of 1643 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1),ultrafast rate performance of 490 mAh·g^(−1) at 10 A·g^(−1),and superior long-term cycling performance of 988 mAh·g^(−1) at 1 A·g^(−1) after 2000 cycles with a capacity retention of 98.9%.Furthermore,the in-depth electrochemical kinetic test confirms that the ultrahigh-capacity and fast-charging performance of the ASn-NPCNs750 electrode is ascribed to the rapid capacitive mechanism. These impressive results indicate that ASn-NPCNs-750 can be a potential anode material for high-capacity and fast-charging LIBs.

文摘To develop highly effective adsorbents for chromium removal,a nitrogen-doped biomass-derived carbon(NHPC)was synthesized via direct carbonation of loofah sponge followed by alkali activation and doping modification.NHPC possessed a hierarchical micro-/mesoporous lamellar structure with nitrogen-containing functional groups(1.33 at%),specific surface area(1792.47 m2/g),and pore volume(1.18 cm^(3)/g).NHPC exhibited a higher Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption affinity than the HPC(without nitrogen doping)or the pristine loofah sponge carbon(LSC)did. The influence of process parameters, including pH,dosage, time, temperature, and Cr(Ⅵ)concentration,on Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption by NHPC were evaluated. The Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption kinetics matched with the pseudo-second-order model(R^(2)≥0.9983).The Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption isotherm was fitted with the Langmuir isotherm model, which indicated the maximum Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption capacities:227.27,238.10,and 285.71 mg/g at 298K,308K,and 318K,respectively.The model analysis also indicated that adsorption of Cr(Ⅵ)on NHPC was a spontaneous, endothermal, and entropy-increasing process. The Cr(Ⅵ)adsorption process potentially involved mixed reductive and adsorbed mechanism.Furthermore, computational chemistry calculations revealed that the adsorption energy between NHPC and Cr(VI)(-0.84 eV)was lower than that of HPC(-0.51 eV),suggesting that nitrogen doping could greatly enhance the interaction between NHPC and Cr(VI).

文摘To inhibit the agglomeration of tin-based nanomaterials and simplify the complicated synthesis process,a facile and eco-friendly self-formed template method is reported to synthesize tin submicron spheres dispersed in nitrogen-doped porous carbon(Sn/NPC)by pyrolysis of a mixture of disodium stannous citrate and urea. The vital point of this strategy is the formation of Na_(2)CO_(3)templates during pyrolysis. This self-formed Na_(2)CO_(3)acts as porous templates to support the formation of NPC.The obtained NPC provides good electronic conductivity, ample defects, and more active sites.Serving as anode for Li-ion batteries, the Sn/NPC electrode obtains a stable discharge capacity of 674.1 mAh/g after 150 cycles at 0.1 A/g.Especially,a high discharge capacity of 331.2 mAh/g can be achieved after 1100 cycles at 3 A/g.Additionally,a full cell coupled with LiCoO_(2)as cathode yields a discharge capacity of 524.8 mAh/g after 150 cycles at 0.1 A/g.In-situ XRD is implemented to investigate the alloying/dealloying reaction mechanisms.Density functional theory calculation ulteriorly explicates that NPC heightens intrinsic electronic conductivity, and NPC especially pyrrolic-N and pyridinic-N doping facilitates the Li-adsorption ability.Climbing image nudged elastic band method reveals low Li~+diffusion energy barrier in presence of N atoms, which accounts for the terrific electrochemical properties of Sn/NPC electrode.

文摘Fe/N-based biomass porous carbon composite(Fe/N-p Carbon) was prepared by a facile high-temperature carbonization method from biomass, and the effect of Fe/N-p Carbon on the thermal decomposition of energetic molecular perovskite-based material DAP-4 was studied.Biomass porous carbonaceous materials was considered as the micro/nano support layers for in situ deposition of Fe/N precursors.Fe/Np Carbon was prepared simply by the high-temperature carbonization method. It was found that it showed the inherent catalysis properties for thermal decomposition of DAP-4.The heat release of DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon by DSC curves tested had increased slightly, compared from DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-0.The decomposition temperature peak of DAP-4 at the presence of Fe/N-p Carbon had reduced by 79°C from384.4°C(pure DAP-4) to 305.4°C(DAP-4/Fe/N-p Carbon-3).The apparent activation energy of DAP-4thermal decomposition also had decreased by 29.1 J/mol.The possible catalytic decomposition mechanism of DAP-4 with Fe/N-p Carbon was proposed.

文摘Bioderived carbon materials have garnered considerable interest in the fields of microwave absorption and shielding due to their reproducibility and environmental friendliness. In this study,KOH was evenly distributed on biomass Tremella using the swelling induction method, leading to the preparation of a three-dimensional network-structured hierarchical porous carbon(HPC)through carbonization. The achieved microwave absorption intensity is robust at-47.34 dB with a thin thickness of 2.1 mm.Notably, the widest effective absorption bandwidth, reaching 7.0 GHz(11–18 GHz),is attained at a matching thickness of 2.2 mm.The exceptional broadband and reflection loss performance are attributed to the 3D porous networks, interface effects, carbon network defects, and dipole relaxation.HPC has outstanding absorption characteristics due to its excellent impedance matching and high attenuation constant. The uniform pore structures considerably optimize the impedance-matching performance of the material, while the abundance of interfaces and defects enhances the dielectric loss, thereby improving the attenuation constant.Furthermore, the impact of carbonization temperature and swelling rate on microwave absorption performance was systematically investigated. This research presents a strategy for preparing absorbing materials using biomass-derived HPC,showcasing considerable potential in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption.

文摘The development of anode materials with high rate capability and long charge-discharge plateau is the key to improve per-formance of lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).Herein, the porous graphitic carbon(PGC-1300)derived from a new triply interpenetrated co-balt metal-organic framework(Co-MOF)was prepared through the facile and robust carbonization at 1300°C and washing by HCl solu-tion.The as-prepared PGC-1300 featured an optimized graphitization degree and porous framework, which not only contributes to high plateau capacity(105.0 mAh·g^(−1)below 0.2 V at 0.05 A·g^(−1)),but also supplies more convenient pathways for ions and increases the rate capability(128.5 mAh·g^(−1)at 3.2 A·g^(−1)).According to the kinetics analyses,it can be found that diffusion regulated surface induced capa-citive process and Li-ions intercalation process are coexisted for lithium-ion storage.Additionally,LIC PGC-1300//AC constructed with pre-lithiated PGC-1300 anode and activated carbon(AC)cathode exhibited an increased energy density of 102.8 Wh·kg^(−1),a power dens-ity of 6017.1 W·kg^(−1),together with the excellent cyclic stability(91.6%retention after 10000 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(−1)).
