Aimed at a special “traction” design of versatile battery—HORIZON~ C~2M Battery, the features are introduced. According to the peak power test schedule, the test parameters of HORIZON~ C~2M Battery are calculated and the charging and discharging experiments are carried out. The sustained (30 s) discharge power capability of battery at 2/3 of its open circuit voltage at each of various depths of discharge is determined. The dynamic internal resistance under peak power test is established. Considering the temperature impact during discharging, the peak power capability at each of various depths of discharge is corrected. The correctness of peak power test is validated by combining theory analysis with test results.展开更多

The autotransformer(AT)neutral current ratio method is widely used for fault location in the AT traction power network.With the development of high-speed electrified railways,a large number of data show that the relat...The autotransformer(AT)neutral current ratio method is widely used for fault location in the AT traction power network.With the development of high-speed electrified railways,a large number of data show that the relation between the AT neutral current ratio and the distance from the beginning of the fault AT section to the fault point(Q-L relation)is mostly nonlinear.Therefore,the linear Q-L relation in the traditional fault location method always leads to large errors.To solve this problem,a large number of load-related current data that can be used to describe the Q-L relation are obtained through the load test of the electric multiple unit(EMU).Thus,an improved fault location method based on the back propagation(BP)neural network is proposed in this paper.On this basis,a comparison between the improved method and the traditional method shows that the maximum absolute error and the average absolute error of the improved method are 0.651 km and 0.334 km lower than those of the traditional method,respectively,which demonstrates that the improved method can effectively eliminate the influence of nonlinear factors and greatly improve the accuracy of fault location for the AT traction power network.Finally,combined with a shortcircuit test,the accuracy of the improved method is verified.展开更多

A...The traction characteristics of the grouser, cutting the simulative soil of deepsea sediment, with different tooth widths, tooth heights, and ground pressures are studied with traction characteristic test apparatus. A traction-displacement model is obtained by combining the analysis of the cutting mechanism. The results show that the tractiondisplacement curves of grousers with different tooth widths, tooth heights, and ground pressures have the same changing trend, which matches the Wong traction model. Their sensitivity coefficient and shear modulus are slightly fluctuated. Therefore, the average values can be used as the traction model parameters. The maximum traction of the grouser with a two-side edge and a 10 mm tooth width increment changing with the tooth height and ground pressure can be determined according to the grousers with different tooth widths. By combining the traction model parameters, the traction-displacement curve of the grouser with a certain group values of tooth width, tooth height, and ground pressure can be predicted. Cab signaling apparatus is the critical equipment for ground-vehicle communication in electrified railways.With the rapid development of high-speed and heavy-haul railways,the immunity to unbalanced traction current i...Cab signaling apparatus is the critical equipment for ground-vehicle communication in electrified railways.With the rapid development of high-speed and heavy-haul railways,the immunity to unbalanced traction current interference for cab signaling apparatus in the onboard train control system is increasingly demanded.This paper analyzes the interference coupling mechanism of the ZPW-2000 track circuit.Based on electromagnetic field theory and the actual working parameters,a calculation model is established to complete the quantitative research of the cab signal induction process and traction current interference.Then,a finite element model is built to simulate the process.The simulation results under the signal frequency,fundamental and harmonic interference are all consistent with the theoretical calculation results.The practical measurement data verify the coupling relationship between cab signal inductive voltage and rail current.Finally,an indirect immunity test method applying this relation for the cab signals is proposed,and the voltage indexes of the disturbance sources are determined,i.e.,the test limits.The results provide an accurate quantitative basis for the cab signaling research and design of the immunity test platform;besides,the proposed indirect test method can simplify the test configuration and improve test efficiency.展开更多
The aim of this study was to determine the quality of rebar produced from recycled scrap metal collected throughout the country,and imported rebar sold in the Republic of Guinea.To do this,the samples were subjected t...The aim of this study was to determine the quality of rebar produced from recycled scrap metal collected throughout the country,and imported rebar sold in the Republic of Guinea.To do this,the samples were subjected to various mechanical tests involving traction,bending and microscopic analysis.In the Lambanyi and Casse Sonfonia samples,all the tensile strength values for diameters 12,14 and 16 were above 550 MPa.Conversely,the iron samples from Baillobaye and the 10 mm diameters of the samples from Casse Sonfonio and Lambanyi have less appreciable values.The limits of elasticity were determined.The various values found vary more or less from the conventional yield strength of the NF A35-016 reference supplied by CBITEC,which is 500 MPa.Microscopic analysis gives us an insight into the internal structure of the iron samples used.This study may provide the company and the vendors with an alternative for their improvements.展开更多
