In this paper, a linkrotor structure connected by a flexible joint or shaft is firstly modeled to be a slow-fast delayed system when moment of inertia of the lightweight link is far less than that of the heavy rotor. To analyze the stability and oscillations of the slowfast system, the geometric singular perturbation method is extended, with both slow and fast manifolds expressed analytically. The stability of the slow manifold is investigated and critical boundaries are obtained to divide the stable and the unstable regions. To study effects of the transformation delay on the stability and oscillations of the link, two quantitatively different driving forces derived from the negative feedback of the link are considered. The results show that one of these two typical driving forces may drive the link to exhibit a stable state and the other kind of driving force may induce a relaxation oscillation for a very small delay. However, the link loses stability and undergoes regular periodic and bursting oscillation when the transformation delay is large. Basically, a very small delay does not affect the stability of the slow manifold but a large delay affects substantially.展开更多

However, some pancreatic cancer patients with LN16 metastasis have been reported to survive for longer than expected after pancreatectomy. The purpose of this study was to determine whether pancreatic cancer patients with LN16 metastasis might benefit from surgery. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 201 consecutive patients with invasive pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma who underwent surgery at Osaka National Hospital between April 2003 and December 2012.These patients included 22 patients with LN16 metastasis who underwent an extended lymphadenectomy and 25 patients who underwent a palliative surgical biliary and gastric bypass. The clinicopathological data and outcomes were evaluated using univariate and multivariate analyses. Results: The overall survival of the patients with LN16 metastasis was poorer than that of the LN16-negative patients(P = 0.0014). An overall survival analysis of the LN16-positive patients stratified according to the preoperative CA19-9 level showed a significant difference between patients with a low preoperative CA19-9 level(≤360 U/mL) and those with a high preoperative CA19-9 level(>360 U/mL)(P = 0.0301). No significant difference in overall survival of patients was observed between those with LN16 positivity and those who underwent bypass surgery. However, the overall survival of the LN16-positive patients with a CA19-9 level ≤360 U/mL(n = 11) was significantly higher than that of those who underwent bypass surgery(P = 0.0452).Conclusion: Surgical resection and extended lymphadenectomy remains an option for pancreatic cancer patients with LN16-positivity whose CA19-9 level is ≤360 U/mL.展开更多

METHODS: One hundred and sixty-nine patients patients from 1984 to 2009 with curative resections for pancreatic adenocarcinoma were included. Tumors were staged by American Joint Committee on Cancer 7th edition criteria. Univariate and multivariable analyses were performed using Kaplan-Meier methodology or Cox proportional hazard models. Log-rank tests were performed. Statistical inferences were assessed by two-sided 5% significance level. RESULTS: Median age was 67.1 (57.2-73.0) years with equal gender distribution. Tumors were in the head (89.3%) or body/tail (10.7%). On univariate analysis, adjuvant therapy, lymph node (LN) ratio, histologic grade, negative margin status, absence of peripancreatic extension, and T stage were associated with improved OS. Adjuvant therapy, LN ratio, histologic grade, number of nodes examined, negative LN status, and absence of peripancreatic extension were associated with improved recurrence-free survival (RFS). On multivariable analysis, LN ratio and carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9 levels were associated with OS. LN ratio was associated with RFS. CONCLUSION: The LN ratio and CA 19-9 levels are independent prognostic factors following curative resections of pancreatic cancer.展开更多

In NS-AOMDV, we introduce node state to improve AOMDV’s performance in selecting main path. In route discovery process, the routing update rule calculates the node weight of each path and sorts the path weight by descending value in route list, and we choose the path which has the largest path weight for data transmission. NS-AOMDV also uses the technology of route request (RREQ) packet delay forwarding and energy threshold to ease network congestion, limit the RREQ broadcast storm, and avoid low energy nodes to participate in the establishment of the path. The results of simulation show that NS-AOMDV can effectively improve the networks’packets delivery rate, throughput and normalized routing overhead in the situation of dynamic network topology and heavy load.展开更多

If the drift and diffusion functions are globally Lipschitz, linear growth may still be experienced, as well as a possible blow-up of solutions in finite time. In this paper, a nonlinear scalar delay differential equation with a constant time lag is perturbed by a multiplicative Ito-type time - space white noise to form a stochastic Fokker-Planck delay differential equation. It is established that no explosion is possible in the presence of any intrinsically slow time - space white noise of Ito - type as manifested in the resulting stochastic Fokker- Planck delay differential equation. Time - space white noise has a role to play since the solution of the classical nonlinear equation without it still exhibits explosion.展开更多

Besides, we calculate the proportion of each conformation by Boltzmann distribution, high configuration ratios(44% and 52%) can be found for C and D. Moreover, C and D are found to exist with an intramolecular π-π interaction between one donor and the acceptor; the intramolecular interaction brings a smaller Huang-Rhys factor and reduced reorganization energy. Our work presents a rational explanation for the experimental results and demonstrates the importance of the intramolecular π-π interaction to the photophysical properties of TADF molecules.展开更多

Methods: Immunohistochemical assay was used to detect the expression of D2-40 and LVI in 107 ESCC patients. Then, the correlation between the clinicopathologic feature and the overall survival time of the patients was analyzed. Results: The lymph node metastasis rates were 70% and 21% in the LVI-positive and LVI-negative groups, respectively. The nodal metastasis rate was higher in the LVI-positive group than in the LVI-negative group. Multivariate regression analysis showed that LVI was related to nodal metastasis (P〈0.001). The median survival time of the patients was 26 and 43 months in the LVI-positive and LVI-negative groups, respectively. Mthough univariate regression analysis showed significant difference between the two groups (P=0.014), multivariate regression analysis revealed that LVI was not an independent prognostic factor for overall survival in the ESCC patients (P=0.062). Lymphatic node metastasis (P=0.031), clinical stage (P=0.019), and residual tumor (P=0.026) were the independent prognostic factors. Conclusion: LVI labeled by D2-40 monoclonal antibody is a risk factor predictive of lymph node metastasis in ESCC patients.展开更多

The investigated distributed relay diversity schemes extend the ideas of a single hop transmit antenna schemes such as Cyclic Delay Diversity (CDD), Space Time Transmit Diversity (STTD), transmit Coherent Combining (CC) and Selection Diversity (SD) to distributed diversity systems. In contrast to the classical single hop system, the antennas in the distributed systems belongs to distributed relays instead of being co-located at the transmitter. The distributed relay diversity methods considered in this paper: Relay CDD (RCDD), Relay Alamouti (i.e.STTD), Relay CC (RCC) and Relay SD (RSD) are compared to the traditional 1-hop system. Analytical expressions for the received Signal to Interference Noise Ratio (SINR) are derived and used in a dynamic multi-cell multi-user simulator. Results show considerable SINR gains for both Round Robin and Max-SINR schedulers. The SINR gains translate into substantial cell throughput gains, up to 200%, compared to 1-hop systems. Despite its low complexity, the RCDD scheme has similar performance to that of other more sophisticated 2-hop schemes such as Relay Alamouti and Relay Coherent Combining. Marginally better results are observed for the Relay Selection Diversity scheme.展开更多

In view of this phenomenon, we propose a routing algorithm based on Geographic Information and Node Selfishness (GINS). To choose a forwarding node, GINS combines nodes' willingness to forward and their geographic information to maximize the possibility of contacting the destination. GINS formulates the message forwarding process as a 0-1 Knapsack Problem with Assignment Restrictions to satisfy node demands for selfishness. Extensive simulations were conducted, and results show that GINS can achieve a high delivery ratio and a lower hop count compared with GRONE and LPHU. Furthermore, its overhead ratio is 25% and 30% less than that of GRONE and LPHU, respectively.展开更多

To reveal and analyze the inherent mechanism of synchronization in complex dynamical networks with time delays in nodes, this paper attempts to use PD and PI control protocols to achieve synchronization. Based on a classical network model, we investigate the PD and PI control for synchronization of complex dynamical networks with delayed nodes and obtain some sufficient conditions. By using Lyapunov functions and appropriate state transformations, we prove that global synchronization can be achieved via the above control protocols. Finally, some simulation examples are illustrated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.展开更多

However, routing in the DTN in real vehicle fleet is a great challenge due to uneven and fluctuant node density caused by vehicle mobility patterns. Moreover, the high vehicle density in urban areas makes the wireless channel capacity an impactful factor to network performance. In this paper, we propose a local capacity constrained density adaptive routing algorithm for large scale vehicular DTN in urban areas which targets to increase the packet delivery ratio within deadline, namely Density Adaptive routing With Node deadline awareness (DAWN). DAWN enables the mobile nodes awareness of their neighbor density, to which the nodes' transmission manners are adapted so as to better utilize the limited capacity and increase the data delivery probability within delay constraint based only on local information. Through simulations on Manhattan Grid Mobility Model and the real GPS traces of 4960 taxi cabs for 30 days in the Beijing city, DAWN is demonstrated to outperform other classical DTN routing schemes in performance of delivery ratio and coverage within delay constraint. These simulations suggest that DAWN is practically useful for the vehicular DTN in urban areas.展开更多

METHODS: IHC using D2-40 (a lymphatic endothelial marker) and CD34 (a pan-endothelial marker) was performed to study LVI and BVI in surgical specimens froma consecutive series of 95 primary gastric cancer cases. The results of the IHC study were compared with the detection by HE using McNemar test and kappa index. The morphologic features of the tumors and the presence of LVI and BVI were related to the presence of lymph node metastasis. A χ2 test was performed to obtain associations between LVI and BVI and other prognostic factors for gastric cancer. RESULTS: The detection rate of LVI was considerably higher than that of BVI. The IHC study identified eight false-positive cases and 13 false-negative cases for LVI, and 24 false-positive cases and 10 false-negative cases for BVI. The average Kappa value determined was moderate for LVI (k=0.50) and low for BVI (k=0.20). Both LVI and BVI were statistically associated with the presence of lymph node metastasis (HE: P=0.001, P=0.013, and IHC: P=0.001, P=0.019). The mor-phologic features associated with LVI were location of the tumor in the distal third of the stomach (P=0.039), Borrmann's macroscopic type (P=0.001), organ inva-sion (P=0.03) and the depth of tumor invasion (P=0.001). The presence of BVI was related only to the depth of tumor invasion (P=0.003). CONCLUSION: The immunohistochemical identification of lymphatic and blood vessels is useful for increasing the accuracy of the diagnosis of vessel invasion and for predicting lymph node metastasis.展开更多

文摘It is generally known that the solutions of deterministic and stochastic differential equations (SDEs) usually grow linearly at such a rate that they may become unbounded after a small lapse of time and may eventually blow up or explode in finite time. Time - space white noise has a role to play since the solution of the classical nonlinear equation without it still exhibits explosion.

Conclusion: LVI labeled by D2-40 monoclonal antibody is a risk factor predictive of lymph node metastasis in ESCC patients.
文摘In this paper, distributed relay diversity systems are analyzed, modeled and evaluated in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) based networks. Marginally better results are observed for the Relay Selection Diversity scheme.

文摘In Delay Tolerant Networks (DTNs), some routing algorithms ignore that most nodes are selfish, i.e., nodes are willing to use their own resources to forward messages to nodes with whom they have a relationship. Furthermore, its overhead ratio is 25% and 30% less than that of GRONE and LPHU, respectively.

文摘Over the past two decades, synchronization, as an interesting collective behavior of complex dynamical networks, has been attracting much attention. Finally, some simulation examples are illustrated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.
文摘Vehicular Delay Tolerant Networks (DTN) use moving vehicles to sample and relay sensory data for urban areas, making it a promising low-cost solution for the urban sensing and infotainment applications. These simulations suggest that DAWN is practically useful for the vehicular DTN in urban areas.

文摘AIM: To evaluate and compare detection of lymphatic and blood vessel invasion (LVI and BVI) by hematox-ylin-eosin (HE) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) in gastric cancer specimens, and to correlate with lymph node status. CONCLUSION: The immunohistochemical identification of lymphatic and blood vessels is useful for increasing the accuracy of the diagnosis of vessel invasion and for predicting lymph node metastasis.

文摘This paper deals with numerical stability properties of super-linear stochastic differential equations with unbounded delay. Sufficient conditions for mean square and almost sure decay stability of the above system and its stochastic θ-method approximation are investigated in this paper. The author establishes numerical stability under a monotone-type condition in unbounded delay setting. An example is presented to illustrate the result.
