Some test conditions are specified, although MIL-PRF-39016E did not specify how to obtain these condi- tions. This paper establishes the dynamics model of vibration process based on first order mass-spring system. The corresponding Simulink model is also established to simulate vibration process in optional input excitations. The response equations are derived in sinusoidal excitations and the required electromagnetic force waves are computed in order to obtain a given vibration and shock accelerations. This filter works with the algorithm that breaks the images into various decomposition levels using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) and searches for the noisy pixels using the outlyingness of the pixel. This algorithm has the capability of differentiating high frequency pixels and the “noisy pixel” using the threshold as well as window adjustments. The damage and the loss of information are prevented by means of interior mining. This global threshold based algorithm uses different thresholds for different quadrants of DWT and thus helps in recovery of noisy image even if it is 90% affected. Experimental results exhibit that this method outperforms other existing methods for accurate noise detection and removal, at the same time chain of connectivity is not lost.展开更多

The traditional method for detecting remnant particles-particle impact noise detection (PIND)-can be used merely to detect the existence of the particle; it is not able to provide any information about the particles' material. However, information on the material of the particles is very helpful for analyzing the causes of remnants. By analyzing the output acoustic signals from a PIND tester, this paper proposes three feature extraction methods: unit energy average pulse durative time, shape parameter of signal power spectral density (PSD), and pulse linear predictive coding coefficient sequence. These methods allow identified remnants to be classified into four categories based on their material. Furthermore, we prove the validity of this new method by processing P1ND signals from actual tests.展开更多

The filter window's size of every pixel was adaptively adjusted. Then the suspidons noise points were examined by certain rules. After that, the authors calculate the weighting factors of the pixels by weighting function which was canstructed according to the differences between their gray values and the median value of all elements in the window. Finally they use the weighted average of gray values to substitute the gray value of the central pixel in the window. The results indicate that this filtering method is not only effective for impulse noise like median filter, but also better than the standard median filters. Compared with conventional filter, this filter methed can effectivdy suppress the mixture noise of images, and protect image's details well.展开更多

In most cases of experimental approaches, the accurate and objective decision of cavitation inception is primary, which is the main topic of this paper. Although the conventional power spectrum is normally adopted as a signal processing tool for the analysis of cavitation noise, a faithful exploration cannot be made especially for the cavitation inception. Alternatively, the periodic occurrence of bursting noise induced from tip vortex cavitation gives a diagnostic proof that the repeating frequency of the bursting contents can be exploited as an indication of the inception. This study, hence, employed the Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) analysis and the Detection of Envelope Modulation On Noise (DEMON) specmma analysis, both which are appropriate for finding such a repeating frequency. Through the acoustical measurement in a water tunnel, the two signal processing techniques show a satisfactory result in detecting the inception of tip vortex cavitation.展开更多
