In this paper, the dynamic interaction of two parallel cracks in functionally graded materials (FGMs) is investigated by means of the non-local theory. To make the analysis tractable, the shear modulus and the material density are assumed to vary exponentially with the coordinate vertical to the crack. To reduce mathematical difficulties, a one-dimensional non-local kernel is used instead of a twodimensional one for the dynamic problem to obtain stress fields near the crack tips. By use of the Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with the help of two pairs of dual integral equations, in which the unknown variables are the jumps of displacements across the crack surfaces. To solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of displacements across the crack surfaces are expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Unlike the classical elasticity solutions, it is found that no stress singularity is present at the crack tips. The non-local elastic solutions yield a finite hoop stress at the crack tips. The present result provides theoretical references helpful for evaluating relevant strength and preventing material failure of FGMs with initial cracks. The magnitude of the finite stress field depends on relevant parameters, such as the crack length, the distance between two parallel cracks, the parameter describing the FGMs, the frequency of the incident waves and the lattice parameter of materials. 展开更多

The final formula is (Tb-Te0){ 1+1/[1+( Tb-T00)b]}=1. We can easily obtain the initial temperature(T0/) and onset temperature(Tci) from the non-isothermal DSC curves, the values of Too and Tc0 from the equation TOi or ei=T00 or c0+α1βi+a2βi^2+…+aL-2L-2βiL-2, i=1,2,…L, the value of b from the equation: In[β/(Tei-T0i)]=ln[A0/G(a)]+bTei, so as to calculate the value of Tb. The dynamic behavior of a Griffith permeable crack under harmonic anti-plane shear waves in the piezoelectric materials is investigated by use of the non-local theory. To overcome the mathematical difficulties, a one-dimensional non-local kernel is used instead of a two-dimensional one for the anti-plane dynamic problem to obtain the stress and the electric displacement near the crack tips. By means of Fourier transform, the problem can be solved with a pair of dual integral equations that the unknown variable is the jump of the displacement across the crack surfaces. These equations are solved with the Schmidt method and numerical examples are provided. Contrary to the previous results, it is found that no stress and electric displacement singularities are present at the crack tip. The finite hoop stress and the electric displacement depend on the crack length, the lattice parameter of the materials and the circle frequency of the incident waves. This enables us to employ the maximum stress hypothesis to deal with fracture problems in a natural way. 展开更多

A thermal insulating material is synthesized via a non-steam-cured and non-fired route by using fly-ash, sorel cement and hydrogen peroxide solution as raw material. Properties such as apparent density, compressive strength, bending strength, thermal conductivity, water resistance, and thermal tolerance of this matrial are studied, some influencing factors on its performance discussed. This material has an apparent density of 360 kg/m3, a compressive strength of 1.86 MPa, a thermal conduction coefficient of 0.072 W/(m·K), a softening coefficient of 0.55, and a thermal tolerant temperature of 300 °C. Test results show that this material is light in weight, of high strength, and good thermal insulation. In addition, neither steam-curing nor sintering is needed in producing it. Further more, large amount of fly ash is used in this material, making it a low cost and environment-friendly building material. 展开更多

The non-isothermal leaching kinetics of primary titanium-rich material by microwave heating was investigated,and the temperature-pressure curves of leaching system and microwave absorption characteristics of mixture solutions before and after leaching were measured.The research of non-isothermal kinetics was evaluated by the leaching rate of Fe and the total apparent velocity equation of the non-isothermal kinetics of leaching for primary titanium-rich material by microwave heating was obtained.It is shown from the temperature-pressure curves that the high temperature and high pressure of closed leaching system are favorable to the enhancement of the leaching rate of Fe.Microwave absorption characteristics of mixture solutions before and after leaching show that there are abrupt changes of microwave absorption characteristics for 15%HCl solution and the mixture solution after leaching by 20%HCl. 展开更多

Based on the well-knownBernoulli-Euler bending moment-curvature relation, the proposed problem is reduced to a specialeigenvalue problem of non-linear differential equation. An approximate solution is achieved byusing a simple and very effective technique, which leads to reliable results even in the case of verylarge deflections. The initial postbuckling path depending on the subtangential follower forces inequilibrium is then obtained. Moreover, the individual and coupling effect of the subtangential fol-lower force, the material non-linearity and the beam slenderness ratio on the initial postbucklingpath are also discussed in detail. 展开更多

In view of the non-local phenomena appearing in the rock and concrete-like materials, the non-local damage and fracture model of rock and concrete-like materials was established through non-local method of Gaussian weighting function. The result indicates that, the stress of one point in the material is correlated not only to its strain history, but also to the interaction of the points in its certain adjacent region of the material. Based on the established non-local model, the numerical simulation of notch containing three-point bending beam was carried out. The results show that the grid sensitivities have been avoided and the fracture direction of the material has not been influenced by the grid shape, and the model proposed can be used to better simulate the damage developing process of the rock and concrete-like materials. 展开更多

The behavior of two parallel non-symmetric cracks in piezoelectric materials subjected to the anti-plane shear loading was studied by the Schmidt method for the permeable crack electric boundary conditions. Through the Fourier transform, the present problem can be solved with two pairs of dual integral equations in which the unknown variables are the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces. To Solve the dual integral equations, the jumps of displacements across crack surfaces were directly expanded in a series of Jacobi polynomials. Finally, the relations between electric displacement intensity factors and stress intensity factors at crack tips can be obtained. Numerical examples are provided to show the effect of the distance between two cracks upon stress and electric displacement intensity factors at crack tips. Contrary to the impermeable crack surface condition solution, it is found that electric displacement intensity factors for the permeable crack surface conditions are much smaller than those for the impermeable crack surface conditions. At the same time, it can be found that the crack shielding effect is also present in the piezoelectric materials. 展开更多

This paper considers conservation and balance laws and the constitutive theories for non-classical viscous fluent continua without memory, in which internal rotation rates due to the velocity gradient tensor are incorporated in the thermodynamic framework. The constitutive theories for the deviatoric part of the symmetric Cauchy stress tensor and the Cauchy moment tensor are derived based on integrity. The constitutive theories for the Cauchy moment tensor are considered when the balance of moments of moments 1) is not a balance law and 2) is a balance law. The constitutive theory for heat vector based on integrity is also considered. Restrictions on the material coefficients in the constitutive theories for the stress tensor, moment tensor, and heat vector are established using the conditions resulting from the entropy inequality, keeping in mind that the constitutive theories derived here based on integrity are in fact nonlinear constitutive theories. It is shown that in the case of the simplest linear constitutive theory for stress tensor used predominantly for compressible viscous fluids, Stokes' hypothesis or Stokes'?assumption has no thermodynamic basis, hence may be viewed incorrect. Thermodynamically consistent derivations of the restrictions on various material coefficients are presented for non-classical as well as classical theories that are applicable to nonlinear constitutive theories, which are inevitable if the constitutive theories are derived based on integrity. 展开更多

Reservoir porous rocks usually consist of more than two types of matrix materials, forming a randomly heterogeneous material. The determination of the bulk modulus of such a medium is critical to the elastic wave dispersion and attenuation. The elastic moduli for a simple matrix-inclusion model are theoretically analyzed. Most of the efforts assume a uniform inclusion concentration throughout the whole single-material matrix. However, the assumption is too strict in real-world rocks. A model is developed to estimate the moduli of a heterogeneous bimaterial skeleton, i.e., the host matrix and the patchy matrix. The elastic moduli, density, and permeability of the patchy matrix differ from those of the surrounding host matrix material. Both the matrices contain dispersed particle inclusions with different concentrations. By setting the elastic constant and density of the particles to be zero, a double-porosity medium is obtained. The bulk moduli for the whole system are derived with a multi-level effective modulus method based on Hashin's work. The proposed model improves the elastic modulus calculation of reservoir rocks, and is used to predict the kerogen content based on the wave velocity measured in laboratory. The results show pretty good consistency between the inversed total organic carbon and the measured total organic carbon for two sets of rock samples. 展开更多

Biochemical analysis on cells cultured on these biomaterials is vital to predict the impact of the materials in vivo and RNA extraction is an essential step in gene expression study using RT-qPCR. In this study, we describe simple modifications to the TRIzol? RNA extraction protocol widely used in biology and these allow high-yield extraction of RNA from cells on resorbable calcium phosphates. Without the modifications, RNA is trapped in the co-precipitated calcium compounds, rendering TRIzol? extraction method infeasible. Among the modifications, the use of extra TRIzol? to dilute the lysate before the RNA precipitation step is critical for extraction of RNA from porous ?-tricalcium phosphate (?-TCP) discs. We also investigate the rationale behind the undesirable precipitation so as to provide clues about the modifications required for other resorbable materials with high application potential in bone tissue engineering. 展开更多

Effects of sintering atmospheres on properties, phase composition and microstructure of specimens after firing at 1 500 ℃ were investigated. The results show that: ( 1 ) after .firing in oxidizing or weak oxidizing atmosphere, there is some Si in the specimens and some glass phases containing mullite form on specimen surface, the density and strength at room temperature are relatively high, but hot modulus of rupture and thermal shock resistance are relatively poor; (2) after firing in, weak reducing or reducing atmosphere, Si reacts completely with CO or N2forming whisk-phere, Si reacts completely with CO or N2forming whisk-er-like SiC, granular Si2N20 or 0'-SiAION, and the er-like SiC, granular Si2N20 or O'-SiMON, and the thermo-mechanical properties of specimens are enhanced;(3) after firing in nitrogen atmosphere, Si reacts completely with N2, CO or G forming wbisker-like SiC and columnar β-SiA10N crystals, the hot modulus of rupture and thermal shock resistance of specimens are enhanced noticeably. 展开更多

冰球和钨珠非正冲击下T800-CFRP层合板损伤特性的研究

通过试验和仿真相结合的方法研究了T800碳纤维增强复合材料(CFRP)层合板在冰球和钨珠非正冲击作用下的损伤特性。首先开展了冰球和钨珠在给定工况下高速撞击T800-CFRP层合板试验,以此对仿真模型的有效性进行验证;然后讨论了T800-CFRP层... 通过试验和仿真相结合的方法研究了T800碳纤维增强复合材料(CFRP)层合板在冰球和钨珠非正冲击作用下的损伤特性。首先开展了冰球和钨珠在给定工况下高速撞击T800-CFRP层合板试验,以此对仿真模型的有效性进行验证;然后讨论了T800-CFRP层合板在两种冲击体以不同冲击能量与冲击角度作用下的损伤特性及其差异性。研究表明:钨珠在冲击能量较低时就能对层合板造成穿孔损伤,但随着冲击能量增大层合板的损伤程度呈下降趋势;冰球对层合板造成损伤的冲击能量阈值与钨珠的相比要高很多,且随着冲击能量的增加损伤程度明显加剧;钨珠在冲击角度为45°和60°时造成的损伤与正冲击的情况相比要更加严重,而冲击角度为30°时造成的损伤却小于正冲击的情况;冰球冲击时,层合板的损伤程度随冲击角度的增加而减小。该研究有助于深化对T800-CFRP层合板在冲击载荷作用下的损伤与破坏行为的认识,具有重要的科学意义和工程应用价值。 展开更多

This problem is first formu- lated as a special form of assignment problem and it is proved that more than one solution will be obtained by Hungarian algorithm simultaneously. Through proposing and strictly proving two propositions related to the char- acteristics of these solutions, a modified Hungarian algo- rithm is designed to distinguish these solutions. Finally, a new real-time OHT dispatching method is carefully designed by implementing the solution obtained by the modified Hungarian algorithm. The experimental results of discrete event simulations show that, compared with con- ventional Hungarian algorithm dispatching method, the proposed dispatching method that chooses the solution with the maximum variance respectively reduces on average 4 s of the average waiting time and average lead time of wafer lots, and its performance is rather stable in multiple dif- ferent scenarios of the interbay AMHS with different quantities of shortcuts. The shear stress of the suspension of Y4O (OH)9 (NO3) ( NH4NO3 )2.8 material in dimethyl silicone oil reaches 1469 Pa at an electric field strength (E) of 4.2 kV·mm^-1 and the shear rate (7) of 150 s^-1 The relative shear stress, τ E/τ0( τE and τ0 are the shear stresses at E = 4.2 and 0 kV·mm^-1 respectively), is up to 29, which is 19 times that of pure Y2O3 material. The dielectric and conductive property of the materials play important roles in the modification of the ER effect of the particle materials. The researches on these new ER materials are very useful for obtaining a better understanding on the mechanism of the ER effect and finding an ideal ER material. 展开更多
