First, a decentralized nonlinear robust control approach based on the feedback linearization and H∞ theory is introduced to eliminate the nonlinearities and interconnections of the studied system, and to attenuate the exogenous disturbances that enter die system. Then, a system model is built up, which has considered all the generators’ and TCSC’s dynamics, and the effects of uncertainties such as disturbances. Next, a decentralized nonlinear robust coordinated control law is developed based on this model. The nonlinear coupling relation among various harmonics can be found by balance theorem of frequency domain. The superhet receiver circuits which are described by nonlinear differential equation of comprising even degree terms include three main harmonic components: the difference frequency and two signal frequencies. Based on the nonlinear coupling relation, taking superhet circuit as an example, this paper demonstrates that the every one of three main harmonics in networks must individually observe conservation of complex power. The power of difference frequency is from variable-frequency device. And total dissipative power of each harmonic is equal to zero. These conclusions can also be verified by the traditional harmonic analysis. The oscillation solutions which consist of the mixture of three main harmonics possess very long oscillation period, the spectral distribution are very tight, similar to evolution from doubling period leading to chaos. It can be illustrated that the chaos is sufficient or infinite extension of the oscillation period. In fact, the oscillation solutions plotted by numerical simulation all are certainly a periodic function of discrete spectrum. When phase portrait plotted hasn’t finished one cycle, it is shown as aperiodic chaos.展开更多

The geometrically-nonlinear effect of the cylinder is studied with considering the in-plane extension incidental to the large defection. The boundary electric charges generated from two deformation modes, flexure and in-plane extension, were distinguished with each other because the charge corresponding to the latter mode produces no contribution to the output current. Numerical results on output powers show that there are multi- valuedness and jump behaviors.展开更多

The nonlinear characterization of a concurrent dual-band RF PA is discussed while two band signals in the dual-band are modulated by CDMA2000 and WCDMA signals. When the two band signals in the dual-band of the PA are modulated with the same signals, it is found that the nonlinearity of the PA can be expressed by any of the two corresponding baseband data. On the other hand, when the two band signals in the dual-band of the PA are modulated with two different signals, the PA nonlinearity cannot be characterized by any of the two corresponding baseband data. In this case, its nonlinearity has to be denoted by a composite signals consisting of the two baseband signals. Consequently, the requirements for the speed of the A/D converter can be largely reduced. The experimental results with CDMA2000 and WCDMA signals demonstrate the speed of the A/D converter required is only 30 M Sample Per Second (SaPS), but it will be at least 70 M SaPS for the conventional method.展开更多
