Due to complicated kinetics of polymerization,differential/algebraic equations(DAEs) always cause great computational burden and system non-linearity usually makes GTTO non-convex bearing multiple optima. Therefore, coupled with the three-stage decomposition model, a three-section algorithm of dynamic programming(TSDP) is proposed based on the general iteration mechanism of iterative programming(IDP) and incorporated with adaptivegrid allocation scheme and heuristic modifications. The algorithm iteratively performs dynamic programming with heuristic modifications under constant calculation loads and adaptively allocates the valued computational resources to the regions that can further improve the optimality under the guidance of local error estimates. TSDP is finally compared with IDP and interior point method(IP) to verify its efficiency of computation.展开更多

The conic model method is a new type of method with more information available at each iteration than standard quadratic-based methods. The advantages of the above two methods can be combined to form a more powerful method for constrained optimization. The trust region subproblem of our method is to minimize a conic function subject to the linearized constraints and trust region bound. At the same time, the new algorithm still possesses robust global properties. The global convergence of the new algorithm under standard conditions is established.展开更多

Most studies focused on single-objective optimization problem for the hydrogen network, but few account for the multi-objective optimization problem. In application of this method, first, the traditional Genetic Programming(GP) is used to generate the nonlinear input-output models that are represented in a binary tree structure; then, the Orthogonal Least Squares algorithm (OLS) is used to estimate the contribution of the branches of the tree (refer to basic function term that cannot be decomposed anymore according to special rule) to the accuracy of the model, which contributes to eliminate complex redundant subtrees and enhance GP's convergence speed; and finally, a simple, reliable and exact linear-in-parameter nonlinear model via GP evolution is obtained. The real aero-engine start process test data simulation and the comparisons with Support Vector Machines (SVM) validate that the proposed method can generate more applicable, interpretable models and achieve comparable, even superior results to SVM.展开更多

The relationship was further discussed between the uneonstrained minimizers of DGALs on the product space of problem variables and multipliers, and the solutions of the eonstrained problem and the corresponding values of the Lagrange multipliers. The resulting properties indicate more precisely that this class of DGALs is exact multiplier penalty functions. Therefore, a solution of the equslity-constralned problem and the corresponding values of the Lagrange multipliers can be found by performing a single unconstrained minimization of a DGAL on the product space of problem variables and multipliers.展开更多

The real aero-engine start process test data simulation and the comparisons with Support Vector Machines (SVM) validate that the proposed method can generate more applicable, interpretable models and achieve comparable, even superior results to SVM.

文摘In this study,a new parameter optimization method was used to investigate the expansion of conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation (CNOP) in a land surface model (LSM) using long-term enhanced field observations at Tongyu station in Jilin Province,China, combined with a sophisticated LSM (common land model,CoLM).Tongyu station is a reference site of the international Coordinated Energy and Water Cycle Observations Project (CEOP) that has studied semiarid regions that have undergone desertification, salination, and degradation since late 1960s.In this study, three key land-surface parameters, namely, soil color, proportion of sand or clay in soil, and leaf-area index were chosen as parameters to be optimized. Our study comprised three experiments:First,a single-parameter optimization was performed, while the second and third experiments performed triple-and six-parameter optimizations, respectively.Notable improvements in simulating sensible heat flux (SH),latent heat flux (LH),soil temperature (TS),and moisture (MS) at shallow layers were achieved using the optimized parameters. The multiple-parameter optimization experiments performed better than the single-parameter experminent. All results demonstrate that the CNOP method can be used to optimize expanded parameters in an LSM.Moreover, clear mathematical meaning, simple design structure, and rapid computability give this method great potential for further application to parameter optimization in LSMs.
文摘In this paper, a class of augmented Lagrangiaus of Di Pillo and Grippo (DGALs) was considered, for solving equality-constrained problems via unconstrained minimization techniques. Therefore, a solution of the equslity-constralned problem and the corresponding values of the Lagrange multipliers can be found by performing a single unconstrained minimization of a DGAL on the product space of problem variables and multipliers.

文摘Platform planning is one of the important problems in the command and control(C2) field. Hereto, we analyze the platform planning problem and present nonlinear optimal model aiming at maximizing the task completion qualities. Firstly, we take into account the relation among tasks and build the single task nonlinear optimal model with a set of platform constraints. The Lagrange relaxation method and the pruning strategy are used to solve the model. Secondly, this paper presents optimization-based planning algorithms for efficiently allocating platforms to multiple tasks. To achieve the balance of the resource assignments among tasks, the m-best assignment algorithm and the pair-wise exchange(PWE)method are used to maximize multiple tasks completion qualities. Finally, a series of experiments are designed to verify the superiority and effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithms.

文摘With the rapid development of highway construction and formation of the highway network in China, the man- agement of pavement maintenance and rehabilitation (MR) activities has become important. In this paper, four discrete optimization models are proposed for different parties involved in the management system: government, highway agent,con- tractor and the common users. These four optimal decision models are formulated as linear integer programming problems with binary decision variables. The objective function and constraints are based on the pavement performance and prediction model using the pavement condition index (PCI).Numerical experiments are carried out with the data from a highway system in Sichuan Province which show the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed models.

文摘This paper proposes a Genetic Programming-Based Modeling (GPM) algorithm on chaotic time series. GP is used here to search for appropriate model structures in function space, and the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is used for Nonlinear Parameter Estimation (NPE) of dynamic model structures. In addition, GPM integrates the results of Nonlinear Time Series Analysis (NTSA) to adjust the parameters and takes them as the criteria of established models. Experiments showed the effectiveness of such improvements on chaotic time series modeling.
