The quantile - quantile (Q-Q) plot and the analysis of correlation coefficients for the Q-Q plot is used to determine the normality or otherwise of the data set. In this regards, the probabilities of the quantiles were computed, modified and plotted. Thereafter the correlation coefficients for the quantile - quantile plots were obtained. Results indicate that at 0.1 level of significance, the data for young adult males of the sample were not normally distributed, and had a mean value that is within the range of low risk, healthwise, whereas the distribution of the data for young female adults showed reasonable normality, but also with a mean value that is within the range of low risk in terms of health condition.展开更多

Up to now, many problems in the shape control domain have not been solved satisfactorily, and a review on the research progress in the shape control domain can help to seek new breakthrough directions. In the past 10 years, researches and applications of shape control models, shape control means, shape detection technology, and shape con- trol system have achieved significant progress. In the aspect of shape control models, the researches in the past improve the accuracy, speed and robustness of the models. The intelligentization of shape control models should be strengthened in the future. In the aspect of the shape control means, the researches in the past focus on the roll opti- mization, mill type selection, process optimization, local strip shape control, edge drop control, and so on. In the future, more attention should be paid to the coordination control of both strip shape and other quality indexes, and the refinement of control objective should be strengthened. In the aspects of shape detection technology and shape control system, some new types of shape detection meters and shape control systems are developed and have successfully indus- trial applications. In the future, the standardization of shape detection technology and shape control system should be promoted to solve the problem of compatibility. In general, the four expected development trends of shape control for cold roiling strip in the future are intelligentization, coordi- nation, refinement, and standardization. The proposed research provides new breakthrough directions for improv- ing shape quality.展开更多

The supplementary features were added to the PSP structure to conduct biological diversity census: eight sample plots 1 × 1 m for geo-botanical description;two sample plots of 5 × 5 m each for description of the PSP’s undergrowth;one 25 × 25 m plot for coarse woody debris estimations;four soil inventory pits. The total number of PSP amounted to 248. Total data used are as following: 1) 1984 geo-botanical descriptions of vegetation belonging to ground cover layers made on 1 × 1 m sample plots;2) 496 descriptions of undergrowth on 5 × 5 m sample plots;3) 178 descriptions of woody debris on 25 × 25 m sample plots;4) 496 descriptions of soil inventory pits. General statistical indicators characterizing forest land cover diversity were calculated. Statistic indicators of α-diversity for the Karelian Isthmus forest vegetation cover have the following values: 1) m (mean number of species per PSP) = 26 species;2) σ (standard deviation) = 9.5 species;3) v (variation coefficient) = 36.5%;4) Р (deviation amplitude) = 60 – 7 = 53 species. β – diversity of forest ecosystems as well as γ – diversity also was studied on the base of information collected on the same regular grid of sample plots. It appears that sample plots distribution by species diversity gradation is well described by the standard curve of normal distribution for the entire Karelian Isthmus forest (determination coefficient of the curve being 95.2%) as well as for each type of forest. Hence, the criterion (standard) of biodiversity for forest ecosystems can be defined as the mean value of alpha diversity for each forest type group – m;and the standard deviation – σ, as a tool for assessing deviations from the standard. PSP locations are fixed using GPS technology, this allows biodiversity assessments at the same place in the next years for biodiversity trends estimations and consist the frame for systematic biodiversity inventory.展开更多

The theoretical basis for peak identificationby using interaction index has been proposed, which was based on the a,c values on stan-dard C18 column by utilizing linear a-a plots on column pairs and the linear relationship be-tween parameters a and c for the structural related compounds. Through the establishmentof parameters a,c data based on the standard C18 column for a certain type of compounds, the retention of thesc compounds on various C18 columns can be predicted.
