Clinical out- comes after CNS axonal severance is very poor because proximal segments of CNS axons lack a suitable environment for outgrowth (Kakulas, 1999; Fitch and Silver, 2008; Rowland et al., 2008; Kwon et al., 2010) and therefore do not naturally regenerate (Ramon y Caial, 1928). Air leakage in underground coal mines presents a serious hazard for coal production and the safety of miners.Coating technology is commonly used as an efficient means for preventing air leakage.To address existing problems with high dust concentrations in large operations involving complex processes and the high cost of traditional coating technology,a novel coating technology that ensures intrinsic safety by utilizing water pressure and wind pressure was developed.This new coating technology was designed to suction and spray,and the technical parameters of its spray performance was also studied.The experimental tests and evaluation indicated the optimum working range is 0.3–0.7 MPa of wind pressure,1.2–10.2 L/min of water quantity,and 1.0–3.5 m of spraying distance.Moreover,this novel coating technology was tested in the Dashuitou Coal Mine in Gansu Province of China.Compared with conventional counterparts,the proposed new technology is safe,efficient,and convenient to operate.During spraying,dust concentrations were kept at less than 10 mg/m3,and the average rebound ratio resilient rate of solid materials was below 13%.After spraying,the average leakage every 100 m was 4 m3/min,and the oxygen volume fraction in the adjacent goaf was approximately 4%,demonstrating excellent air leakage prevention. 展开更多

Identifying novel processing methods is an important research direction in the field of food engineering.Fermented flour products have been popular all over the world for a long time because of their unique flavor and texture.Whether for yeast or sourdough,the accurate temperature control is essential for the fermentation process.Some novel heating methods have shown potential in the processing of fermented flour products.Microwave heating(MWH),radiofrequency heating(RFH),and ohmic heating(OH)are undoubtedly the most promising heating methods.MWH affects the fermentation time of the dough by affecting the water molecules in the dough,and may also improve the fermentation quality of wholewheat flour products.RFH contributes to the control of harmful substances in the fermentation process and has shown potential for the production of sourdough bread.OH has superiority in accurately controlling the temperature,enzymes,microorganisms,etc.in the fermentation process,and it is beneficial to shortening the fermentation time.Researchers have applied these heating methods with different properties to different uses.This article summarized the application and potential of these three novel heating methods in the production of fermented flour products.The application scenarios and parameter settings of novel heating technologies in dough fermentation process need further research.It is reasonable to believe that novel heating methods can become an important tool to improve the efficiency of dough fermentation and the quality of fermented dough in the future. 展开更多

Ice has been extensively employed as a general coolant or ingredient in the food industry.However,evident indicates that food-associated ice can be easily contaminated by pathogenic bacteria,such as Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,and Salmonella spp.,among others.The contamination sources are attributed to the use of unhygienic water,improper handling,and poor hygiene conditions of ice-making machines.The contaminated ice might be a vesicle for the transmission of pathogens to food and human,posing potential risks to public health.This review overviewed the microbial contamination of food-associated ice,including the microbial contamination levels and the main microbial contaminants.In addition,a systematical introduction was constructed on the recent advances and applications of state-of-the-art methods to manufacture safe ices,illustrating ozone,electrolyzed water,cold plasma,essential oils,and ultraviolet light-emitting diode irradiation.The validities and limitations of ice treated by these techniques on the food quality were then discussed in detail.Various studies were also organized to demonstrate the potential of the mentioned treated ice,for ensuring the microbial safety and control quality deterioration during the storage of aquatic products.Finally,the direction for future study was given. 展开更多
