Progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Technology in Rectus Abdominis Diastasis

Rectus abdominis diastasis is a common condition in postpartum women,causing back pain,and in severe cases,it can result in abdominal wall hernias and downward migration of abdominal organs.At present,there is no clearly established optimal non-surgical treatment for rectus abdominis diastasis,but traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing techniques have proven to be an effective intervention for postpartum rectus abdominis separation.This paper comprehensively analyzes the TCM nursing technology as an intervention for postpartum rectus abdominis separation,discusses the shortcomings and prospects of TCM nursing technology,and provides references for further exploring and optimizing the intervention program for postpartum rectus abdominis separation.

Methodological exploration on the construction of a traditional Chinese medicine nursing expert consensus based on evidence--taking stroke as an example

Objective: To explore the methodology of the evidence-based expert consensus formulation process of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) nursing taking stroke as an example.Methods: First, preliminary and comprehensive presentation of all stroke-related symptoms and corresponding TCM nursing techniques involved were revealed through bibliometric analysis. Then, selection of stroke symptoms and TCM nursing techniques for inclusion in the consensus was performed using an expert consultation method. Next, we determined the search strategy for a precise evidence search;conducted an evaluation of evidence quality and the grade of the evidence;and completed evidence extraction, evidence analysis, and evidence synthesis based on the included symptoms and TCM nursing techniques. The Delphi method was then applied to determine the strength of each recommendation and the choice of nursing care points by referring to the Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations grid. Finally, we conducted an external expert validation of the Delphi results to form an expert consensus guideline.Results: Through the bibliometric analysis, 22 stroke symptoms and 18 TCM nursing techniques were identified in the literature. Then, after expert consultation, 22 symptoms and 111 pairs of symptoms combined with TCM nursing techniques were selected for the evidence search. Evidence integration yielded 10 stroke symptoms corresponding to 29 bodies of evidence;these 10 symptoms were retained through the Delphi consultation, and recommendation strength results for 26 recommendations were obtained. A total of 9 symptoms were further retained for expert external validation to form 24 recommendations, with a recommendation process score range of 7.64-9.99 points and a more scientific and standardized recommendation-formation process.Conclusion: Owing to the current limited conditions of evidence-based resources for TCM nursing, the present consensus-building process represents only a preliminary exploration of an evidence-based expert consensus for TCM nursing to provide a reference for a more scientific and standardized methodology.

Progress in Traditional Chinese and Weste rn Medicine Treatments and Nursing Care of Knee Osteoarthritis

This paper reviews the causes of knee osteoarthritis, traditional Chinese and Western medicine therapies and nursing research progress and indicates that traditional Chinese and Western medicine have gradually recognized the cause of knee osteoarthritis. Knee osteoarthritis has been treated with various treatments and nursing care planning, and the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine has constantly been improved. Nurses should instruct the discharged patient to correctly treat their disease, adopt the health education, and, via the establishment of a healthy lifestyle, insist on a functional exercise to relieve the pain, delay disease progression, and improve quality of life.

Thoughts on the Construction of Evidence-based Nursing Standard Plan for Dominant Diseases in Traditional Chinese Medicine

The evidence-based Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) nursing in standard plan is to be constructed by a combination of evidence-based thinking and expert consensus.(1) The symptoms of diseases with better curative effect in TCM and the nursing techniques of TCM based on scientific evidence can be preliminarily presented through bibliometric analysis.(2) Expert consultation letters can be developed based on bibliometric results, and symptoms of dominant diseases in TCM and TCM nursing techniques can be selected through those letters.(3) Based on the selected symptoms and TCM nursing techniques, the PICO can be determined, and then evidence search, evidence extraction, evidence analysis can be conducted and synthesized, and recommendations would be chosen.(4) The recommendation grade of each recommendation can be determined by applying the Delphi method and referring to GRADE.(5) The plan will be determined through discussions of experts. The construction of TCM nursing plan would make sure that TCM nursing is scientific, and internationalize TCM nursing.

Construction of nursing standard of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for patients with COVID‑19 (mild and common) in Beijing based on Delphi method

Objective:The objective of this study is to establish a nursing standard of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for patients with COVID‑19(mild and common)in Beijing,to provide reference for clinical nursing of patients with COVID‑19(mild and common).Methods:Through online communication meeting with nurses who are in the frontline of anti‑epidemic,clinical investigation,literature research,and expert demonstration meeting are carried out to prepare the draft of the standard,and the Delphi method is applied to determine the standard of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine care for patients with COVID‑19(mild and common)in Beijing.Results:The nursing standard of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for patients with COVID‑19(mild and common)was established,which included 5 first‑level indicators,14 second-level indicators and 60 third‑level indicators.After two rounds of Delphi method,the positive coefficients of experts were 96%and 83%,the authoritative coefficients of experts were 0.89 and 0.91,and the Kendall’s coefficient of concordance(W)of experts were 0.12,0.09,0.10,0.13(P<0.05)and 0.44,0.43,0.37,0.39(P<0.05).Conclusion:The standard of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing for patients with COVID‑19(mild and common)in Beijing constructed by the Delphi method is scientific and practical,which provides a reference for clinical application of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine nursing to fight against COVID‑19 infection.

Opportunities and challenges for the development of traditional Chinese medicinenursing under the new healthcare reform

Based on the “Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Medicine and Health”, “Strategic planning outline of thedevelopment of Traditional Chinese Medicine （2016-2030）” and the other relevant polices announced by StateAdministration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People’s Republic of China, this paper analyzes and summarizesthe opportunities and challenges for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing （TCM nursing） under thenew healthcare reform, in order to provide reference and thinking for the professional development of TCM nursing.

Research on the Reform of“Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing”Teaching Based on the Concept of Outcome-Based Education

Continuously evolving teaching concepts and the adoption of diverse teaching methods have led to outcome-oriented education becoming a fundamental focus of teaching reform in colleges and universities.In this article,the“Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing”course is used as an example to discuss the reform of education based on the concept of outcome-based education,with the purpose of improving students'learning outcomes and practical skills.

Teaching Reform of “Nursing of Traditional Chinese Medicine” Course Based on OBE Concept

Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing is one of the important disciplines in TCM.It is based on TCM theory and combined with modern nursing theory and technology,aiming to provide comprehensive and individualized nursing services.With the changes in the medical environment and the continuous improvement of people’s health needs,the teaching of TCM nursing is facing new challenges and opportunities.This paper aims to discuss the teaching reform of TCM nursing course based on the concept of outcome-based education(OBE)or student-centered teaching.The significance of this study is to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the teaching reform of TCM nursing course,and to promote the development and progress of TCM nursing education.Through the teaching reform based on OBE concept,we can better cultivate TCM nursing talents with innovative spirit and practical skills,and contribute to the development of TCM.

Specification of manual lactation traditional Chinese medicine technology

Acute mastitis is one of the common diseases of postpartum lactating women,also known as lactational mastitis,which can occur during breastfeeding,especially in the postpartum 3–4 weeks.Acute mastitis can lead to the cessation of breastfeeding.Improving breastfeeding behavior and extending breastfeeding duration have become a global strategy to promote maternal and child health.Manual lactation traditional Chinese medicine technology is one of the important measures to improve the rate of breastfeeding,which can solve the problems of breast swelling,pain,and reduction of milk production.This article introduces the definition,indications,standard operating procedures,precautions,and treatment of adverse events of manual lactation in traditional Chinese medicine technology,so as to provide more comprehensive guidance for clinical workers to carry out manual lactation operations.

Traditional Chinese Medicine as a Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis:From Empirical Practice to Evidence-Based Therapy

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a common autoimmune condition with an elusive etiology.Conventional and biological disease-modifying drugs sometimes fail or produce only partial responses.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has long been used in China as a treatment for RA and is achieving everincreasing acceptance worldwide.TCM treatments are traditionally guided by the theory of treatment based on TCM syndrome differentiation;however,they remain a matter of empirical practice relying on TCM theories and doctors’own experience,which places severe restrictions on worldwide TCM application.Nevertheless,TCM is a treasure trove for drug discovery,particularly as a treatment for complicated human conditions.The discoveries of artemisinin as a treatment for malaria and of TCM–arsenic trioxide(As2O3)combination therapy as a treatment for acute promyelocytic leukemia(APL)are excellent examples of the great value of TCM.Regarding RA treatments,many Chinese medicinal herbs and their formulas,extracts,ingredients,and even single compounds have been used in clinical applications.Several Chinese proprietary medicines(CPMs)derived from TCM formulas or herbal bioactive components,such as the controlled-release ZhengQingFengTongNing(ZQFTN)Tablets,Tripterygium Glycoside Tablets,and Total Glucosides of Peony(TGP)Capsules,have been included in the National Health Insurance Directory of China,and show comparable therapeutic efficacies to those of western chemical drugs with fewer side effects.As TCM research has advanced,particularly in the use of multidisciplinary technologies,the scientific foundations and characteristics of the use of TCM to treat RA have been revealed,and the quality of TCM treatments have been increasingly enhanced.However,TCM generally lacks sufficient clinical and laboratory data to be consistent with international standards for quality,safety,and efficacy in order to support its application worldwide.Therefore,intensive basic and clinical studies on TCM are required.In particular,investigations that use cutting-edge technologies in analytical chemistry,biology,and biomedical sciences,and the development of randomized clinical trials(RCTs)and personalized pragmatic randomized controlled trials(PPRCTs)are necessary.Researchers should also collaborate to advance TCM from empirical practice to evidence-based therapy,thus consistently promoting TCM development and globalization in a vital,beneficial,and contributable manner.

Bibliometrics and visual analysis for clinical research on intervention of traditional Chinese medicine nursing technology on rheumatoid arthritis

Objective:The objective of this study is to explore the current situation,clinical research hot spots,and trends of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing technology in rheumatoid arthritis(RA),to draw a panorama of clinical research,to provide the basis and clues for subsequent high-level evidence integration and further in-depth research.Materials and Methods:Seven databases including China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Chinese Scientific Journal Database(VIP),Wanfang Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database(Sino-Med),PubMed,Embase,and the Cochrane Library were searched.The bibliometric method and visualization software CiteSpace were used to conduct a multi-dimensional analysis of the included literature.Results:A total of 805 pieces of literature were included(of them,one was written in German and four in English),and the number of published literature showed an increasing trend year by year.There were only 30(3.73%)pieces of literature published in nursing journals.The hot spots of the co-occurrence map were concentrated in:(1)the nursing of fumigation in RA;(2)the efficacy evaluation of TCM nursing technology on pain,joint malformation,and joint dysfunction caused by RA.The included literature themes focused on five TCM technologies:fumigation,moxibustion,acupoint patching,acupoint injection,and Chinese herbal soaking.The beginning year and strength in TCM fumigation were 2012 and 5.2,and those in moxibustion were 2011 and 3.38.Conclusion:The related studies are on the rise.It has entered the field of international readers with clear research hot spots.However,there are still shortcomings such as little literature published in Chinese nursing core journals,few non-Chinese-related documents,and a lack of international exchanges and cooperation.The current research hot spots in this field are TCM fumigation,and the cutting-edge trend of future research may be fumigation and moxibustion technology.It is suggested that further research can focus on evidence integration and original research on the self-optimization of these two techniques.

Construction thoughts and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing inheritance work

Master-apprentice system is a main mode of talent cultivation for Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM). To vigorously push forward inheritance and innovation of TCM nursing, Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine carried out TCM nursing inheritance work in 2016, establishing 3 studios and 1 workstation. In this paper, we summarized constructional methods and achievements in TCM nursing inheritance studios and workstation, raised issues during working, and thought about how to work in the next stage, in hoping to lay a good foundation for carrying out in-depth work about TCM nursing inheritance.

Gynecology and Gynecological Nursing Theories and Practices in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Review on the Ancient Literatures

Objective: the study is aimed to introduce the developing history of gynecology and gynecological nursing in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Study Design: the development of gynecology and gynecological nursing consists of six periods in Chinese history. They are: 1) budding stage represented by the inscriptions of Nü (female) on oracle bones;2) physiological development stages of women;3) specialized chapters of gynecology in TCM;4) features of gynecological nursing;5) monograph of gynecology and gynecological nursing;6) integration of ancient gynecological nursing perceptions. Results: TCM has a profound understanding of gynecology and gynecological nursing. For period one, the inscriptions of Nü (female) on oracle bones is the symbol of the budding stage. For period two, physiogenesis stages of women are recorded in The Yellow Emperor of Classics of Inner Medicine. For period three, the specialized chapters of gynecology appeared, represented by Golden Chamber, Woman. For period four, the features of gynecological nursing were elaborated in Essential Prescriptions Worth A Thousand Gold including menstruation, depression, yin-dampness, and menopause. For period five, monographs of gynecology and gynecological nursing represented by Good Comprehensive Woman Formulae appeared. For period six, Integrative studies of gynecological nursing perceptions were carried out with the representation by Integrated Ancient and Modern Books. Conclusion: TCM gynecology and gynecological nursing harbors a long history of treating and nursing gynecological disorders. With therapeutic and nursing modalities, they are effective systems of un-derstanding and managing woman health as proven by medical literatures, clinical benefits and basic research studies.

Quantitative and Qualitative Investigation of Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Protocols for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Objective:To analyze the implementation status of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing protocols for type 2 diabetes mellitus.Methods:Totally 420 hospitalized patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were given TCM nursing protocols by syndrome differentiation.A quantitative and qualitative investigation was conducted to patients who received TCM nursing and nurses who performed TCM nursing techniques.Results:According to the self-evaluation outcomes of patients,TCM nursing protocols were effective to relieve polydipsia,polyuria,fatigue and other symptoms.Patients exhibited a high level of compliance with nursing techniques such as auricular point pressing,acupoint massage,Chinese herbal foot-bath and moxibustion.The interview showed that patients could benefit from the TCM nursing protocols,and nurses considered that application of TCM nursing protocols could enhance their awareness of TCM knowledge and practice skills.Conclusion:The application of TCM nursing protocols is effective to relieve clinical symptoms of type 2 diabetes mellitus.It can also improve the knowledge level and practice skills of nurses in TCM hospitals.

Effects of traditional Chinese medicine nursing combined with conventional nursing in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:a meta-analysis

Objective: This meta-analysis aims to evaluate the effects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) nursing combined with conventional nursing in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods: Data were collected from the databases of PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Google Scholar,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI), WanFang Data(WF) and VIP Database, including literature regarding the effects of TCM nursing combined with conventional nursing in patients with COPD published before January 2017. The Jadad scale was used to assess the quality of the eligible literature. The weighted mean differences and odds ratios were used to analyze St. George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ) scores, pulmonary function, hospital stay, and clinical efficacy.Results: Twenty-three randomized controlled trials comprising 3116 cases(TCM nursing combined with the conventional nursing group: 1559; conventional nursing group: 1557) met the inclusion criteria. TCM nursing combined with conventional nursing was associated with a lower SGRQ score, higher forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1) value, higher FEV1/forced vital capacity(FVC) value, higher FEV1% value, higher FEV1 predicted value, shorter hospital stay, and preferable clinical efficacy.Conclusions: TCM nursing combined with conventional nursing emphasized that dialectical nursing can be performed preferably in patients with COPD.

Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing protocols for colorectal polyps

Colorectal polyps are thought to be the potential precursors to colorectal cancer(CRC).Endoscopic removal of these polyps is conductive to decreasing the risk of deaths due to CRC,but for some complex colorectal polyps,they have to be resected surgically instead of endoscopic removal.However,surgical excision is associated with higher morbidity and mortality.Recently,traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has shown a better therapeutic effect on improving the quality of life and reducing the recurrence in patients with colorectal polyps.Therefore,this article primarily investigated the key points of common syndromes,TCM nursing methods and healthy guidance of colorectal polyps,aiming at maintaining and developing the strengths of TCM,improving its efficacy and standardizing its behavior.

Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing protocols for psoriasis vulgaris（英文）

Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory skin disease with a spectrum of clinical phenotypes including psoriasis vulgaris, pustular psoriasis, guttate psoriasis and erythrodermic psoriasis, in which psoriasis vulgaris is most common. In recent years, Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has attracted widespread attention in the treatment of psoriasis because of better efficacy and a lower incidence of adverse reactions. In TCM, psoriasis is considered to be caused by blood heat and the stagnation of Qi and blood. This article primarily investigated the key points of common syndromes, TCM nursing methods and healthy guidance of psoriasis vulgaris, aiming at maintaining and developing the strengths of TCM, improving its efficacy and standardizing its behavior.

Traditional Chinese medicine nursing protocols for herpes zoster

Herpes zoster is a viral infection caused by the reactivation of endogenous latent varicella zoster virus resulting in varicella,characterized by pain and vesicles in the restricted dermatomal distribution that occurs along the nerves w ith dormant virus. Postherpetic neuralgia( PHN) is the most common sequela of herpes zoster,occurs or persists after the rash has resolved. It is currently recognized that both herpes zoster and PHN have a substantial impact on the patients' quality of life and daily activities. Traditional Chinese Medicine Nursing Protocols for Wheezing Disease(Bronchial Asthma)

Wheezing disease( bronchial asthma) is a common but refractory disease among pulmonary diseases. It tends to attack repeatedly,and is difficult to be cured. In recent years,some studies have shown that effective traditional Chinese medicine( TCM) nursing interventions on the wheezing disease can significantly ameliorate the treatment compliance of patients,reduce the attack and improve the quality of life. Traditional Chinese medicine nursing protocols for COVID-19

In order to facilitate nurses to understand the key points of COVID‑19’s common syndromes,master the key points of nursing with syndrome differentiation,use the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)nursing characteristics,standardize TCM nursing behavior,and improve the TCM nursing effect,through the search of relevant information,combined with the clinical practice experience of more than 1 month of front‑line anti‑epidemic nursing staff,the TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19(draft)were formed.After four rounds of expert consultation and discussion,and 15 times of collation and revision,the final version of TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19 was formed.The TCM nursing protocols for COVID‑19 include the following five parts:key points of common syndromes,nursing for common symptoms/syndromes,TCM special nursing,healthy guidance,and difficulties in nursing;it is scientific and practical,and can provide clinical guidance for nursing of patients with COVID‑19.
