Nowadays more and more attraction is drawn by the event based implicit invocation one of useful architectural patterns, because of its loose coupling between components in the architecture and reactive integration in software systems. Analyzing object oriented interaction with objects, this paper, based upon the principle of software architecture, presents an approach on event based object model with Ada exception handler. To improve the agility, dynamics, composability, reusability, and development efficiency restricted by monolithic federation object model (FOM), a modular FOM is proposed by high level architecture (HLA) evolved product development group. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art of HLA evolved modular FOM. In particular, related concepts, the overall impact on HLA standards, extension principles, and merging processes are discussed. Also permitted and restricted combinations, and merging rules are provided, and the influence on HLA interface specification is given. The comparison between modular FOM and base object model (BOM) is performed to illustrate the importance of their combination. The applications of modular FOM are summarized. Finally, the significance to facilitate compoable simulation both in academia and practice is presented and future directions are pointed out. 展开更多

An objective visual performance evaluation with visual evoked potential (VEP) measurements was first inte- grated into an adaptive optics (AO) system. The optical and neural limits to vision can be bypassed through this system. Visual performance can be measured electrophysiologically with VEP, which reflects the objective func- tion from the retina to the primary visual cortex. The VEP ts without and with AO correction were preliminarily carried out using this system, demonstrating the great potential of this system in the objective visual performance evaluation. The new system will provide the necessary technique and equipment support for the further study of human visual function. 展开更多

Aiming at the problem of low surface defect detection accuracy of industrial products, an object detection method based on simplified spatial pyramid pooling fast(Sim SPPF) hybrid pooling improved you only look once version 5s(YOLOV5s) model is proposed. The algorithm introduces channel attention(CA) module, simplified SPPF feature vector pyramid and efficient intersection over union(EIOU) loss function. Feature vector pyramids fuse high-dimensional and low-dimensional features, which makes semantic information richer. The CA mechanism performs maximum pooling and average pooling operations on the feature map. Hybrid pooling comprehensively improves detection computing efficiency and accurate deployment ability. The results show that the improved YOLOV5s model is better than the original YOLOV5s model. The average test accuracy(mAP) can reach 91.8%, which can be increased by 17.4%, and the detection speed can reach 108 FPS, which can be increased by 18 FPS. The improved model is practicable, and the overall performance is better than other conventional models. 展开更多

The equi-luminance of color stimulus in normal subjects is characterized by L-cone and M-cone activation in retina. For the protanopes and deuternopes, only the activations of one relevant remaining cone type should be considered. The equi-luminance turning curve was established for the recorded visual evoked potentials (VEPs) of the luminance changes of the red and green color stimulus, and the position of the equi-luminance was used to define the kind and degree of color vision deficiencies. In the test of 47 volunteers we got the VEP traces and the equi-luminance turning curves, which was in accordance with the judgment by the pseudoisochromatic plate used in clinic. The method fulfills the objective and quantitative requirements in color vision deficiencies test. 展开更多

At first, the speech signal is decomposed in frequency domain using an auditory filter-bank. Then, the sample-based features, namely cumulative energy and its increment speed, in each band were computed. Finally, using principle component analysis, these features were fused into one combined feature vector for assessment. Since the algorithm is based on perceptual properties of human auditory ear using non-uniform and multi-band analysis, the improvements of the consistence between the proposed approach and subjective evaluation are obtained. 展开更多

Inclusion of textures in image classification has been shown beneficial.This paper studies an efficient use of semivariogram features for object-based high-resolution image classification.First,an input image is divided into segments,for each of which a semivariogram is then calculated.Second,candidate features are extracted as a number of key locations of the semivariogram functions.Then we use an improved Relief algorithm and the principal component analysis to select independent and significant features.Then the selected prominent semivariogram features and the conventional spectral features are combined to constitute a feature vector for a support vector machine classifier.The effect of such selected semivariogram features is compared with those of the gray-level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM)features and window-based semivariogram texture features(STFs).Tests with aerial and satellite images show that such selected semivariogram features are of a more beneficial supplement to spectral features.The described method in this paper yields a higher classification accuracy than the combination of spectral and GLCM features or STFs. 展开更多

Modem product development becomes increasingly collaborative and integrated, which raises the need for effectively and efficiently sharing and re-using design knowledge in a distributed and collaborative environment. ... Modem product development becomes increasingly collaborative and integrated, which raises the need for effectively and efficiently sharing and re-using design knowledge in a distributed and collaborative environment. To address this need, a framework is developed in this research to support design knowledge representation, retrieval, reasoning and fusion, which takes account of structural, functional and behavioral data, various design attributes and knowledge reasoning cases. Specifically, a multi-level knowledge representation based on the Base Object Model (BOM) is proposed to enable knowledge sharing using Web services technologies. On this basis, a multi-level knowledge reuse method is developed to support the retrieval, matching and assembly of knowledge records. Due to the tree structure of BOM, both depth-first and breadth-first searching strategies are employed in the retrieval algorithm while a novel measure is proposed to evaluate similarity. Moreover, a method based on the D-S evidence theory is developed to enable knowledge fusion and thus support effective decision-making. The framework has been implemented and integrated into an HLA-based simulation platform on which the development of a missile simulation example is conducted. It is demonstrated in the case study that the proposed framework and methods are useful and effective for design knowledge representation and reuse. 展开更多

The hologram is nonuniformly sampled by decomposing it into several parts with various sampling rates. The hologram is calculated based on the nonuniform fast Fourier transform (NUFFT) algorithm. In the experiment, we load this nonuniformly sampled hologram on phases-only spatial light modulator (SLM), and by illumination with collimated light objects with different sampling rates are reconstructed at different distant planes simultaneously. Both of the numerically simulation and optical experiments are performed to demonstrate the feasibility of our method. The experiment also shows that our proposed nonuniform sampled hologram for multi-plane objects is calculated by only one step, better than conventional method that needs several steps of calculation proportional to the numbers of object planes. 展开更多

In this paper, we extend the method to identify nonorthogonal objects. In the method, an object is illuminated by one photon from an entangled pair, and the other one is diffracted into a particular direction by a pre-established multiple-exposure hologram in the idler arm. By the correlation measurements, the nonorthogonal object in the signal arm could be discriminated within a very short time. The constraints for the identification of nonorthogonal objects are presented, which show that the nonorthogonal objects can be discriminated when the overlapping portion between any two objects is less than half of all the objects in the set. We also study the 3D shape measurement theoretical model of the larger complex objects after considering the coordinate deviation and lens distortion. Experimental results demonstrate that the fringe cycle on the reference plane can be corrected to a constant value, the lens distortion can be corrected, and 3D shape of larger complex objects can be accurately measured. 展开更多
