Application of Petri Net to Fault Diagnosis in Satellite

A prototype of fault diagnosis based on Petri net, which is developed for a satellite tele-control subsystem, is introduced in this paper. Its structure is first given with the emphasis on a Petri net modeling tool which is designed using the object oriented method. The prototype is connected to the database with DAO (Date Access Object) technique, and makes the Petri net's firing mechanism and its analyzing methods to be packed up as DLL (Dynamic Link Library) documents. Compared with the rule-based expert system method, the Petri net-based one can store the knowledge in mathematical matrix and make inference more quickly and effectively.

A Study on the Design for Object-Oriented Adaptive Decision-Making Teams

The modern war features a highly distributed coordination. In the face of great time constrains, it is important to change command organizations to adapt to the real environment. Therefore it's a key step to set up adaptive C2 teams. In this paper, the relational problems about distributed C2 organizational structure adaptation are discussed, and the methodology for team decision making design based on the object oriented technique is studied.

Software Process Modeling with UML in Development of Medical Insurance MIS

This paper describes how to use the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to modeling software processes in medical insurance MIS, and compares UML Modeling method with classic PO(Process Oriented) Modeling method. It indicates that the whole performance of application system model described by UML is much better than the one described by PO.

Data Model Transformation in CAD System for Multi View Modeling

This paper describes multi view modeling and data model transformation for the modeling. We have proposed a reference model of CAD system generation, which can be applied to various domain specific languages. However, the current CAD system generation cannot integrate data of multiple domains. Generally each domain has its own view of products. For example, in the domain of architectural structure, designers extract the necessary data from the data in architecture design. Domain experts translate one view into another view beyond domains using their own brains.The multi view modeling is a way to integrate product data of multiple domains, and make it possible to translate views among various domains by computers.

Dynamic Slicing of Object Oriented Programs

Program slice has many applications such as program debugging, testing, maintenance, and complexity measurement. A static slice consists of all statements in program P that may effect the value of variable v at some point p , and a dynamic slice consists only of statements that influence the value of variable occurrence for specific program inputs. In this paper, we concern the problem of dynamic slicing of object oriented programs which, to our knowledge, has not been addressed in the literatures. To solve this problem, we present the dynamic object oriented dependence graph (DODG)which is an arc classified digraph to explicitly represent various dynamic dependence between statement instances for a particular execution of an object oriented program. Based on the DODG, we present a two phase backward algorithm for computing a dynamic slice of an object oriented program.

Evolving Objects for Software Engineering

This paper is concerned with evolving objects method for software design that can adapt to the changing environments and requirements automatically. We present system architecture with objects library, where there are objects based on domain ontologies. We define some genetic operators for objects, and discuss how to apply these genetic operators on objects to get new objects, which can satisfy new requirements.

C++ Template Data Structure Mappings of ASN.1 of ITU-T X.680 Suitable with PER( X.691) and BER( X.690)

Networking protocols annotated with ASN. 1 of ITU-T X. 680 is readable, however its implementation with traditional routine call is complex and difficult. Object Oriented idea is introduced to get the following simplicities: Make the implementation of protocol data unit annotated with ASN. 1 similar to its definition with little or even without any changes. The framework for encapsulation of ASN. 1 data types into objects discussed here is not only suitable for PER X. 691 but also suitable for BER X. 690.

CORBA-Based Discrete Event Simulation System

The CORBA technique is an integration of the object-oriented conception and distributed computing technique. It can make the application within distributed heterogeneous environments reusable, portable and interoperable. The architecture of CORBA-based discrete event simulation systems is presented and the interface of distributed simulation objects (DSO) is defined in this paper after the DSO is identified and the synchronization mechanism among DSO is discussed.

A Design Method of Business Application Framework Based on Software Patterns

This paper discusses design and implementation method of Business Application Framework based on software patterns, and then presents MVC pattern of architecture and the method of dynamical update promulgation for Business Application Framework. We discuss adaptation of Abstract Factory for the kernel functionality of Business Application Framework, such as data creation, manipulation, composition, etc. It also presents class model and its class structure of Abstract Factory pattern. Finally, we briefly discuss the update, modification, and reconstruction method of Business Application Framework.

Building an E-business System Using Enterprise JavaBeans Architecture

This paper provides an overview of using Enterprise JavaBeans to build an e-business system. First, the authors point out some difficulties during building an e-business sy stem. For example, how can we integrate all kinds of software and hardware i n company quickly and economically Then the authors introduce a representative EJB structure and currently EJB deve loping approaches. A representative EJB structure includes an EJB Server, EJB Co ntainers, EJB Clients and JNDI etc. An EJB Server is similar to CORBA ORB. It pr ovides system services such as original implementing environment, multiprocessin g, workload management, equipment accessing, JTS and JNDI service and making the EJB Container visible. The EJB Container plays the role of interface between th e EJB and others. An EJB Client never accesses Bean directly. There are two kind s of containers. One is session contain, it mainly includes brief, impermanent E JB(thus all statuses will not be saved). The other is entity container which inc luding permanent EJB. The EJB Client uses EJB Beans. First it finds EJB Containe r through JNDI interface. Then it transfers EJB methods using EJB Container. Current, EJB developing approaches include several major aspects such as develop ment, deployment, application programs assembling and management of Enterprise B ean etc. Above all, we should define three classes, Bean class, home interface c lass of Bean and remote interface class of Bean. Then we should create a deploym ent descriptor. This is an XML documentation, which declared the properties of E nterprise Bean and bound the class documentations of Bean(including stub documen tation and skeleton documentation). And then we put these deployments into a jar documentation and define environment properties in the deployer. Next, we shoul d assemble application programs including install Enterprise Beans to server and test the connecting of each ties. The program assembler integrates several Ente rprise Beans with other beans(like Servlet, Applet, Script etc) into an integrat ed application program. It also may integrate several Enterprise Beans into a co mplicated Enterprise Bean. Of cause we also need to manage the Enterprise Bean. In the end, the authors point out several major advantages of using EJB to build e-business system such as simplifying application development and deployment, supporting heterogeneous client and server platforms, leveraging existing skills and assets, delivering a secure, scalable, reliable and manageable environment and providing the freedom to implement using many vendors’ products.

Constructing the Virtual Production Line

In order to study the constructing technology of virtual production line, the structure model of virtual production line was presented, and the object oriented technique was used to establish its basic classes and relevant models, including solid model, behavior model and object oriented Petri net based control model, and based on this, the constructing of virtual production line was realized. The application proved that the virtual production line had many good characteristics, such as visualization, interaction, multi layer and reusability, and it's an efficient tool of analyzing and modeling for layout planning and rapidly reconfiguring of production line.

Object-Oriented Design for FDTD Visual Scientific Computing

A scheme for general purposed FDTD visual scientific computing software is introduced in this paper using object-oriented design (OOD) method. By abstracting the parameters of FDTD grids to an individual class and separating from the iteration procedure, the visual software can be adapted to more comprehensive computing problems. Real-time gray degree graphic and wave curve of the results can be achieved using DirectX technique. The special difference equation and data structure in dispersive medium are considered, and the peculiarity of parameters in perfectly matched layer are also discussed.

Development of the Data Processing and Analysis System Framework for ICF Experiments

An idea is presented about the development of a data processing and analysis system for ICF experiments, which is based on an object oriented framework. The design and preliminary implementation of the data processing and analysis framework based on the ROOT system have been completed. Software for unfolding soft X-ray spectra has been developed to test the functions of this framework.

An Analysis Method of Business Application Framework

We discuss the evolution of object oriented software development process based on software pattern. For developing mature software framework and component, we advocate to elicit and incorporate software patterns for ensuing quality and reusability of software frameworks. On the analysis base of requirement specification for business application domain, we present analysis method and basic role model of software framework. We also elicit analysis pattern of framework architecture, and design basic role classes and their structure.

Role Modeling: A Modeling Method for Software Pattern at Knowledge Level

Based on dominant degree of role model among the viewpoints for object oriented modeling process, it dissertates that role modeling is a modeling method for software pattern at knowledge level. After giving some examples for modeling design pattern and analysis pattern at knowledge level using role model, it presents a process for refining design pattern from role model to class model and event trace diagram of UML. In this paper, we advocate the opinion that role modeling before object modeling of UML.

Study on the Architecture of Control System for Manufacturing Cells

The depiction of the agile manufacturing cell includes a synopsis of some of the change proficiencies obtained by the configuration. To achieve agile configuration, the cell control system for agile manufacturing must be rapidly and efficiently generated or modified. In this paper, the object oriented architecture is defined that supports design and implementation of highly reconfigurable control systems for agile manufacturing cells, which is composed of database objects, control objects, and resource objects, so as to reduce costs and to increase the control system's agility with respect to changing environment.

An object oriented multi-robotic graphic simulation environment for programming the welding tasks

An object oriented multi robotic graphic simulation environment is described in this paper. Object oriented programming is used to model the physical objects of the robotic workcell in the form of software objects or classes. The virtual objects are defined to provide the user with a user friendly interface including realistic graphic simulation and clarify the software architecture. The programming method of associating the task object with active object effectively increases the software reusability, maintainability and modifiability. Task level programming is also demonstrated through a multi robot welding task that allows the user to concentrate on the most important aspects of the tasks. The multi thread programming technique is used to simulate the interaction of multiple tasks. Finally, a virtual test is carried out in the graphic simulation environment to observe design and program errors and fix them before downloading the software to the real workcell.
