Based on data of 31 provinces of China in 2019 collected from the National Bureau of Statistics,this paper explores the impact of the number of urban employees’endowment insurance on the total retail sales of social ...Based on data of 31 provinces of China in 2019 collected from the National Bureau of Statistics,this paper explores the impact of the number of urban employees’endowment insurance on the total retail sales of social consumer goods in different provinces in China.Taking the population,per capita disposable income,per capita life expectancy,and regional per capita GDP of each province as the variables,this paper establishes regression models to do the empirical research.The results show that:(1)The increase of the number of urban employees’old-age insurance has a significant positive impact on residents’consumption.The wider the coverage of old-age insurance,the more it can enhance the consumption confidence of the residents.(2)Due to the economic development,the level of urbanization has been greatly improved,leading to an increased birth rate and total population,and thus consumption has been driven.Therefore,the increase of the total population has a significant positive effect on the increase of the total retail sales of social consumer goods.(3)The increase of per capita disposable income has insignificant impact on the increase of total retail sales of social consumer goods due to residents’debt,the rise of house prices,the rapid widening of income gap between different groups,and the difficulty of meeting the various needs of people.(4)Although the increase of life expectancy per capita will lead to the decrease of total retail sales of social consumer goods,this decrease is not significant.(5)Per capita GDP will lead to a small increase in the total retail sales of social consumption.Finally,based on the above conclusions,some suggestions to stimulate consumption are given.展开更多
This study examined whether or not equity capital enhances the performance of listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria.The study purposively sampled fourteen(14)out of twenty-one(21)consumer goods firms listed on the Ni...This study examined whether or not equity capital enhances the performance of listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria.The study purposively sampled fourteen(14)out of twenty-one(21)consumer goods firms listed on the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc.The study used secondary sources to obtain panel data from the annual financial statements of the selected companies.Data sourced for were analyzed using random effects model and arithmetical means.Findings from the study revealed that the coefficient of share capital is positive(0.903050)and statistically significant(p=0.0099<0.05),but the beta value of retained earnings is negative(−0.683966)and significant(p=0.0023<0.05)for listed consumer goods firms in Nigeria.The average results found that 45%and 7%of total assets of the firms were financed by retained earnings and share capital respectively.The study confirmed that the appropriate mode of finance that could be considered for the effective performance of the firms in Nigeria is the share capital.The study concluded that share capital enhanced the performance of firms while the retained earnings did not in the country.The research recommended that the government of Nigeria should try to rebrand its dead local enterprises especially the affected consumer goods firms to enable them to attract more foreign investors into the country to enhance its economic growth.展开更多

Next, retail strategy, merchandise strategy, and store strategy, contained in the retail management theory, are adopted as other important variables to measure the impact on consumer attitudes. And then, the key factors of retail strategy mix are identified by means of Focus Group (FG). In addition, the hypothetical model of retail strategy mix and consumer behavior intention for domestic luxury cosmetic brands is established to understand the relationship between the two factors. Finally, empirical researches are conducted on consumers and retailers of luxury cosmetics brands. As always said, that young Gulf inherently consumerist element of first degree because of abundant liquidity and reasonable level of income compared to others of non - Gulf societies. Therefore, this research aims to study and analyze the impact of consumer awareness among the students of the Faculty of Business Administration in consumer protection in terms of the current role and hoped to guide consumption and its relationship to some economic and social characteristics of the consumers. In particular it has been studying the impact of some of the qualifications for heads of Kuwaiti families, their total monthly income and their place of residency inhabited by the expressive factors of consumer awareness in college students as well as their impact on the degree of preference for quality of consumer goods in being a low-price, median-price or expensive-price. In addition, it has been studying the relationship of these social variables noted with the role of government and consumer protection associations through what they are doing to develop laws and policies directed to develop and educate consumers. To achieve these goals, a special questionnaire has been prepared especially for this purpose has been met from a random sample of students from the University of Kuwait. I have been using the appropriate statistical analysis to study these goals. Thus, some of the appropriate suggestions and recommendations are obtained to achieve the objectives of this research.展开更多

On one hand, in...While last decade has witnessed a rapid growth of digital economy, there is limited understanding in literature on whether the conventional wisdom on pricing strategy still holds for information goods. On one hand, information goods, similar to durable goods, are subject to value depreciation; on the other, they differ from traditional goods in negligible marginal cost and the sensitivity to social influences. This paper develops a two-period, game-theoretic model to investigate optimal pricing strategy of information goods. On one dimension, two different depreciation mechanisms (self- and time-depreciation) are considered; on the other, two prevalent pricing schemes (perpetual licensing and subscription-fee models) are studied. We obtain closed-form solutions in all scenarios. Our findings suggest that vendors of time-depreciation information goods should adopt subscription-fee model to attract early adopters and exploit social influences, while the vendors of self-depreciation information goods should strategically balance between depreciation and social influences. Interestingly, as social influences become strong enough, the difference between pricing schemes diminishes and the tradeoff between candidate strategies vanishes. We also extend the model to static pricing in which the vendor commits to future price. We discover that the superiority of subscription-fee model might be overturned under static pricing. Our results above also imply that building consumer feedback and interaction systems could be helpful for minimizing the potential loss of a suboptimal pricing scheme.展开更多
