By observing, it is found that the AJAX contents, which could not be seen by traditional crawler, are well-structured and belong to one specific domain generally. Extracting the structured data from AJAX contents and annotating its semantic are very significant for further applications. In this paper, a structured AJAX data extraction method for agricultural domain based on agricultural ontology was proposed. Firstly, Crawljax, an open AJAX crawling tool, was overridden to explore and retrieve the AJAX contents; secondly, the retrieved contents were partitioned into items and then classified by combining with agricultural ontology. HTML tags and punctuations were used to segment the retrieved contents into entity items. Finally, the entity items were clustered and the semantic annotation was assigned to clustering results according to agricultural ontology. By experimental evaluation, the proposed approach was proved effectively in resource exploring, entity extraction, and semantic annotation.展开更多

Nowadays, every discipline or field attaches great importance to establishing and applying ontology for research. And ontologies that related to linguistics are WordNet by cognitive linguist Prof. Miller from PrincetonUniversity, FrameNet by Prof. Fillmore from California University, Berkeley, GOLD (General Ontology for Language Description) by Dr. Farrar from Arizona University and DOLCE (Descriptive Ontology for Linguistic and Cognitive Engineering) by CNR cognitive science and technology research centre of Italy, etc. This article focuses on event structures hot discussed in cognitive linguistics, through an ontologically analytical approach, and gives a systematic description on the concepts and semantic relationships involved in the event structures. Any event structure can be represented through the 7S schema. "For some purpose, somebody does something for someone with some means, sometimes and somewhere". Therefore, an event consists of 7 conceptual domains: purpose, actor, action, object, facility, location and time. In the article, the main concepts of the 7 domains and over 20 semantic relationships between these domains are described in detail and illustrated by some examples.展开更多

According to QFT, quantum fields are the primary entities and particles are the excitations of these fields, coming in discrete lumps with no inner structures and with properties assigned by declaration. Such view is in conflict with the observed vacuum energy density, 140 orders of magnitudes less than required by the QFT. In addition, such view is challenged by Aphysical Quantum Mechanics (AQM), a deeper quantum theory. According to AQM, the fundamental understanding of quantum reality is expanded by the addition of two fundamental categories, aphysical and elementary consciousness of elementary particles. Based on AQM and as an example, the total ontology of the intrinsic (fundamental) electron is presented with its inner structure of perfect geometry consisting of the physical charged c-ring and aphysical cylinder, and with its properties such as self-mass, spin, magneto-electrostatic field configuration and magnetic moment. The position parameter in the inner structure demonstrates that there are no two identical intrinsic electrons in the Universe thus placing a question mark over the QFT principle of indistinguishability.展开更多

The exploration of these domains for the correspondence of semantic content requires calculation of the measure of semantic similarity between concepts. Semantic similarity is a measure on a set of documents, based on the similarity of their meanings, which refers to the similarity between two concepts belonging to one or more ontologies. The similarity between concepts is also a quantitative measure of information, calculated based on the properties of concepts and their relationships. This study proposes a method for finding similarity between concepts in two different ontologies based on feature, information content and structure. More specifically, this means proposing a hybrid method using two existing measures to find the similarity between two concepts from different ontologies based on information content and the set of common superconcepts, which represents the set of common parent concepts. We simulated our method on datasets. The results show that our measure provides similarity values that are better than those reported in the literature.展开更多

It articulates foundational, mathematical axioms (Entanglement, Homogeneity, Emergence, and Measurement) that underpin the dynamics of systems, emphasizing the interconnectedness and emergent behaviors resulting from internal and external interactions. By exploring quantum concepts like coherence, entanglement, and superposition, the paper proposes an interdisciplinary approach termed Quantum Social Mechanics. This approach challenges classical paradigms, advocating for a reevaluation of conventional notions through the lens of quantum principles. The paper argues that understanding the universe’s complexities requires a synthesis of motion states and potential states, suggesting a paradigm shift towards integrating quantum mechanics into the philosophical foundation of social theory. Through this comprehensive framework, the paper aims to foster a deeper understanding of the universe’s interconnected nature and the dynamic processes that govern the emergence of complex systems and behaviors.展开更多
