The aluminum composition of 20Mn23AlV ranges from 1.6% to 2.45% ,which is significantly higher than other types of steel. According to the real condition of 40 t ladle in steel-making plant of Baosteel Special Steel Company, previous works show that the key factors affecting the ladle free-opening rate of high aluminum steel in continuous casting are:sand material, accessories baking, ladle nozzle cleaning, the process and amount of adding sand, and the rate of argon stirring during refining. Therefore, improving the ladle filler sand quality, baking all of the raw materials, controlling the addition of ladle filler sand, cleaning the ladle nozzle, and optimizing argon stirring during the refining process can resolve the problem of a low ladle free-opening rate of high aluminum steel caused by the long ladle time of liquid steel.展开更多
High-pressure solenoid valve with high flow rate and high speed is a key component in an underwater driving system.However,traditional single spool pilot operated valve cannot meet the demands of both high flow rate a...High-pressure solenoid valve with high flow rate and high speed is a key component in an underwater driving system.However,traditional single spool pilot operated valve cannot meet the demands of both high flow rate and high speed simultaneously.A new structure for a high pressure solenoid valve is needed to meet the demand of the underwater driving system.A novel parallel-spool pilot operated high-pressure solenoid valve is proposed to overcome the drawback of the current single spool design.Mathematical models of the opening process and flow rate of the valve are established.Opening response time of the valve is subdivided into 4 parts to analyze the properties of the opening response.Corresponding formulas to solve 4 parts of the response time are derived.Key factors that influence the opening response time are analyzed.According to the mathematical model of the valve,a simulation of the opening process is carried out by MATLAB.Parameters are chosen based on theoretical analysis to design the test prototype of the new type of valve.Opening response time of the designed valve is tested by verifying response of the current in the coil and displacement of the main valve spool.The experimental results are in agreement with the simulated results,therefore the validity of the theoretical analysis is verified.Experimental opening response time of the valve is 48.3 ms at working pressure of 10 MPa.The flow capacity test shows that the largest effective area is 126 mm2 and the largest air flow rate is 2320 L/s.According to the result of the load driving test,the valve can meet the demands of the driving system.The proposed valve with parallel spools provides a new method for the design of a high-pressure valve with fast response and large flow rate.展开更多

With the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)sprayers,the application of low-volume spraying of harvest-aid and other agrochemicals to cotton using UAVs is becoming a new agronomic trend worldwide.The effect of...With the development of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)sprayers,the application of low-volume spraying of harvest-aid and other agrochemicals to cotton using UAVs is becoming a new agronomic trend worldwide.The effect of spray volume and canopy density for UAV spraying is significant but was rarely studied.In this study,five representative spray volumes were explored to examine the effect of spray volume on deposition and harvest-aid efficacy for cotton using a UAV sprayer.To explore the effect of canopy density,similar tests were carried out in a field located nearby with a lower leaf area index(LAI).A conventional trailer boom sprayer was selected for comparison.Different spray volumes had a significant effect on defoliation,but had no significant effect on boll opening and fiber quality.A higher defoliation rate was achieved in the lower LAI field.The total rate of defoliation using the UAV was inferior to the boom sprayer in the high LAI field for lower deposition and defoliation rate in the lower canopy.Considering the deposition,defoliation rate,and working efficiency,a spray volume of 15.0 L/hm^(2) with an average droplet size of 150μm is recommended for UAV application.展开更多
