The autocorrelation of the design time gate is computed and there is a specified taper on the design gate before the autoeorrelation is done. The standard equations are set up, prewhitening is added to the zero lag value of the autocorrelation and the matrix is inverted to derive the spiking operator. In this study, the authors describe a technique for performing spiking deconvolution on prestack time migration (PSTM) data, to test the effect of operator length and percent prewhitening in spiking deconvolution and apply spiking deconvolution trace by trace, with operator lengths 15ms, 10 ms and 5 ms when percent prewhitening 0% , 40ms and 60ms for percent prewhitening 1%. The results show when prewhitening is 0% the shorter operator gives better results, but when value of prewhitening is bigger than 0% it is better to use longer operator lengths.展开更多

The flux distribution model developed in this study showed a good agreement with experimental results, validating the robustness of the model. This model demonstrated, as expected, that the permeate flux decreased along the membrane channel due to decreasing osmotic pressure differential across the FO membrane. A series of fouling experiments were conducted under the draw and feed solutions at various recoveries simulated by the model. The simulated fouling experiments revealed that higher organic (alginate) fouling and thus more flux decline were observed at the last section of a membrane channel, as foulants in feed solution became more concentrated. Furthermore, the water flux in FO process declined more severely as the recovery increased due to more foulants transported to membrane surface with elevated solute concentrations at higher recovery, which created favorable solution environments for organic adsorption. The fouling reversibility also decreased at the last section of the membrane channel, suggesting that fouling distribution on FO membrane along the module should be carefully examined to improve overall cleaning efficiency. Lastly, it was found that such fouling distribution observed with co-current flow operation became less pronounced in counter- current flow operation of FO membrane process.展开更多

In order to improve the relaxation oscillation of the laser, both ends of the crystal are coated, making the Tm:YLF crystal itself a resonant cavity. The micro laser is pumped by a 792 nm laser diode operated in the continuous wave(CW) mode. We obtain maximum output powers of 7.78 and 10.4 W at the total incident power of 43.6 W with focus lenses of 37.5 and 40 mm, respectively, corresponding to the slope efficiencies of 25.6% and 40.0% and the optical–optical conversion efficiencies of 17.8%and 23.8%. It is clear that the amplitude of the relaxation oscillation is smaller and the beam quality is better with the focus length of 37.5 mm; however, the laser with the focus length of 40 mm produces a higher output power and a more stable wavelength centering at 1878.44 nm.展开更多
